Ric Flair Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 James Pearson doesn't count as home grown? No, Nigel and his wife conceived James out in the bushes in Romania on a walking holiday.
lgfualol Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Kurt Happy Zouma So jealous of that middle name
Xen Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 I'm interested to see this Chri Wood fella feature for us at some point....
Alexikokopops Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 James Pearson doesn't count as home grown? Because he's under 21 it doesn't matter if he's home grown or not, he doesn't have to be named in the 25 man squad.
Xen Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Because he's under 21 it doesn't matter if he's home grown or not, he doesn't have to be named in the 25 man squad.Think the point was that there are other under 21 players who are also listed as home grown, whereas he isn't.
Alexikokopops Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Think the point was that there are other under 21 players who are also listed as home grown, whereas he isn't. I was looking at the PDF rather than the website so didn't even realise they'd been sticking home grown stars for the U21s On the PDF they don't say anything about any of the U21 players so God knows what they're up to on the actual website.
Fox92 Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 I'm interested to see this Chri Wood fella feature for us at some point.... Not good enough.
One Legged Beaver Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Is Ulloa's name actually Jose Fernandez then?
LCCFox96 Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Is Ulloa's name actually Jose Fernandez then? Ulloa Fernandez could be his paternal and maternal surnames looking at the webpage and guessing on how Spanish speakers construct their full names? Can't explain the Jose Leonardo bit though.
Captain... Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Is Ulloa's name actually Jose Fernandez then? His first name is Jose Leonardo, it is sort of double barrelled as they don't have middle names as such and he chooses to go by Leo and his surname is a combination of his dad's surname, Ulloa and his mum's Fernandez. So typically they just use the Dad's surname as the surname as that is what gets passed on to their children. Cambiasso's surname is Cambiasso Deleau.
AdamN Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 I can't be the only one that didn't know Joe Hart was actually called Charles!

StanSP Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Who'd have thought Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's middle names were 'James Ricardo'
Haydos Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 James Pearson doesn't count as home grown? Because he's under 21 it doesn't matter if he's home grown or not, he doesn't have to be named in the 25 man squad. If it's like Footy Manager (which I assume is correct) they need to have been signed on as a pro for 3 years before their 21st birthday (or something along those lines) to be considered homegrown.
danny. Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 It clearly says that squads can only have 17 non home grown players, so a min of 8 home grown. How does it work for Chelsea and Tottenham?
peach0000 Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 It clearly says that squads can only have 17 non home grown players, so a min of 8 home grown. How does it work for Chelsea and Tottenham? Spurs and Chelsea haven't named 25 players so that they don't go over the 17 players. Spurs named 21 players 4 of which are home grown so they left 4 spaces so not to break the rules.
FireFox Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 Oh his name is Jose Leonardo Ulloa Fernandez,Leicester's number 23.Yes his name's a ****ing mouthful,But we just sing Leonardo, and that's alright with him.
