Odds for next manager

They didn't actually fire the manager though, did they? And they're not going to be appointing his successor either. Sacking a manager and finding a new one are two totally separate things, obviously. You can want your old manager out and not particularly want the new one in.

Yes any irrational person sees them as two seperate things. Sensible people on the other hand realises there is a connection

The only one I'd want from that list is Laudrup.

9 points from last 19 games!!.. I repeat.. 9 points from the last 19 games!!!... And he didn't deserve the boot???...

Make your case for how a new manager will do better and which manager.

Yes we haven't been doing great but now we are fu£&ed

The new manager, whoever he is, will need our full support and a fair crack at the whip. And sometimes the most unlikely managers (not as unlikely as Dennis Wise, I might add) can be a success at a club if all 'clicks' into place. Let's not decide he's hopeless before he even gets here - after all Pearson was given 24 games this season despite doing badly in the league for much of it.

On a sidenote, didn't Levein get fired after a surprise Cup victory over Spurs, before we even played the next round game... It's simple, give Rob Kelly the job. We're bound to stay up.

Hope the Pearson out brigade are pleased with themselves.

Kevin Keegan and Tony Mowbray.

**** sake.

Is that the Kevin Keegan who has bags of Premier League experience and romped the Championship with Man City when they were crap? Hardly a step down from Pearson is it?

They are two separate things. Sacking Peter Taylor was the right decision, appointing Bassett wasn't. Sacking Hamilton was the right decision, appointing Pleat wasn't. There are more examples, obviously.

Only MON is viable, and only if he jacks in his job with the Oirish.

But you don't sack the manager with no decent alternatives out there. If Mourinho was available then you sack him, you don't sack him for anyone on that list. Laudrup is the only one I'd take

and last had a job when and won what as a manager and is renowned for choking and quitting.

Most uninspiring list of candidates, just highlights what a ludicrous decision it is.Whether you backed him or wanted him out, doing it when the only viable candidates have gone to other relegation candidates and after the transfer window has closed is just plain stupid.Thought our owners were better than that.

So with your logic, a manager should be employed on a rolling 19 game contract. What about the many other games when he got us winning lots of games playing attractive football? No doubt when the next boss starts finding it tough, which is inevitable with the size of our club and our premiership experience, you'll be there moaning and wanting him sacked too.

My son said the same!!

It made me feel ill.

I really can't see anything but bad times ahead, a string of short time failing/failed managers and a merry go round of here today gone tomorrow players.
