dayday Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 Steve Walsh and Kevin Phillips were at Birmingham the other night watching him according to Leicester City news now. Might mean nothing, yet if they are looking at strikers, then that could well be the end of Wood and Nugent
ChrisWoodIsClass Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 Would love to see him here, good player with bags of ability
Stevosevic Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 He'll be in the premier league next season, not here
Soar Fox Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 Kingfox is currently masturbating himself to death.
Dickov22 Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 I doubt he'll wanna play in the championship next season
TheUltimateWinner Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 out of our league. Quite literally next season.
GaelicFox Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 I'm sorry but super Kevin has over seen the mass destruction of a once quality striking outfit and that's with him having 20m extra worth of tallent to work with I wouldn't have him looking at my dog s**ting in the woods Striker coach ....only coach he needs is one out of leicester at St Margaret's
Callabinho Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 They just fancied watching someone who can actually score goals.
sylofox Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 WOW has no one seen Bamford for Kramaric? More lie we are scouting next seasons opposition. Or a season loan if we stay up.
AKCJ Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 He'll cost an arm and a leg and he's overrated. No ta.
sylofox Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 Went to my school Was he thick lol Just joking

Soar Fox Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 Seeing if Llyod Dyer still has his pace. We'll be signing him for when we are in the championship again next season.
Danno Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 Was he thick lol Just joking Yeah he was very clever. Wasn't very popular from what I remember though.
maxwelld_ Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 Ironically Phillips got a lot of praise last season for the improvement in Vardy, yet now he is the scapegoat he doesn't know what he's talking about issue is around our midfield and how we get overrun most games.
GaelicFox Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 Ironically Phillips got a lot of praise last season for the improvement in Vardy, yet now he is the scapegoat Well he ain't getting praised for Vardy's improvement now ..... Honestly I think that's pearson's issue ...he keeps too many average people close to him for too long Your right many were singing Super Kev's Magic last year with Vardy looks misplaced praise in hindsight
Fox92 Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 Too good for us. What took you so long? It's a Bamford thread...
GaelicFox Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 he doesn't know what he's talking about issue is around our midfield and how we get overrun most games. Can't defend , don't score enough , and granted a crap midfield Take your pick All adds up to relegation Crap Coaching and a manager with tactical awareness of a hamster (at times) CLEAR The lot out Nige !!
kingfox Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 What took you so long? It's a Bamford thread... Not on Foxestalk 24/7 mate
Danizen Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 Well he ain't getting praised for Vardy's improvement now ..... Honestly I think that's pearson's issue ...he keeps too many average people close to him for too long Your right many were singing Super Kev's Magic last year with Vardy looks misplaced praise in hindsight I can't remember anyone crediting Phillips with Vardy's progress, last season. Vardy was scoring goals when Phillips was failing to get on the bench for Palace.

Ulloa has 9 goals this season (fantastic return so far) and Kramaric has 2 in 4. It's not a 'destruction of quality' its the difference in quality between this league and the Championship. Jamie Vardy couldn't get to grips with the Championship only a year and a half ago, has it really come as a great surprise that his technical flaws have been punished? In the Championship if a striker closes down a defender then the defender will make mistakes because of his poor quality. This just isn't the case in the Premier League and that is all there is to Vardy's game. You can't teach anyone composure or a first touch. Being a Premier League footballer is definitely more about actual ability than graft when your'e a forward. Nugent has played the number 10 role with success, albeit inconsistently. He's never been a poacher and will probably make the move into midfield before his career finishes. He's got talent on the ball and the squad plays much better with him in it. He's missed some massive chances this season, and will rightly be scrutinized but to blame Phillips for his mistakes is just taking the piss somewhat. Promotion has highlighted the lack of genuine quality in the Championship. The hardworking, but technically limited, front 2 of Vardy and Nugent was never going to keep up up, which is why we've spent 20m on strikers (which have scored us goals, whether you want to admit it or not). Our problems have been with the midfield and wingers not chipping in with goals. We've scored 22 Premier League goals, 12 have come from strikers (Ulloa 7, Kramaric 1, Nugent 2, Vardy 2, Wood 1) which means a striker gets a goal one every two games for us, which isn't too bad (could be better though) but only 10 goals between midfield and defence is, frankly, abysmal. That's where our problems have been this season.

Vardy was scoring goals when Phillips was failing to get on the bench for Palace. I was replying to some else's point above I heard a few claim Vardy had improved because Philips was now coaching him My original point is Philips ain't working , time to get a flat head in to do the job
