Robin JD Popley Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 Another one who has pissed off Nigel for no apparent reason. Lad deserves better. Good luck Knocky!
Silverdaz Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 This has topped off what a laughable season Pearson has had. Knockaert is a whole hearted performer, yes he gives the ball away and yes he dips in and out of games but the guy has extreme quality on the ball and can produce that piece of magic to tip games in our favour. He has been an integral part of the squad that got us to where we are and he will be needed next year if/when we get relagated. To lose him for free in the summer would severely anger me. For me if we had a different manager Knockaert would probably be a player that most would use more often. This is another decision from Pearson that is laughable. The man is infuriating! Not the fact that he is very limited in what he does, hes not premiership quality but only just championship quality. Not a great loss to be honest

This, you have to persevere with your most talented players, his handling of situations is absolutely diobolical at times, we're crying out for creativity and he ruins any chance of that by being a stubborn ****.
Silverdaz Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 I really hope we don't let Knocky go. Love the little guy. What with his crocodile tears and all
Guest Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 He's played and been woefully bad. However, plenty of others have too and they've continued to play Perhaps his interviews have weighed on that, although he's featured in he matchday squad more recently so maybe not Had ONE bad game. His other two league starts were decent.

Neither of you have no idea he's been pissed off about anything. Half of this forum has seemingly at one time or another said the lad is just too slow. If that's the case, why would the manager play him if he believes it will cause us problems. Sometimes there doesn't need to be anything going on other than the management not thinking they are our best option.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 We simply have better players in every position he could feature in. Also as been said not enough pace to keep up with the style of play we are being forced to utilise in the run in. Got to say though there's not a club I would want him at more than Ipswich, hope he drops Derby and does well for Big Mick.
cjslcfc Posted 23 February 2015 Author Posted 23 February 2015 I think he has the potential to play the role behind the striker but have always genuinely thought his lack of pace would hinder him in the PL. I don't think this is a stick you can beat Pearson with. Much like Albrighton, I think Knockaert's stock has risen amongst fans by him being out of the team. Think he's pretty limited actually.

Sometimes there doesn't need to be anything going on other than the management not thinking they are our best option. Babylon; I don't if you can remember at the start of the season when he said 'Ask Anthony - he may be able to give you answer' was a clear example there was some rift back then. The lad would do anything to support Nigel, that was so evident from last year's annual dinner and throughout all of his time until that point. It just appears from the outside he isn't being given a fair chance as some others in our squad aren't. It just annoys you as fans when a good majority of us can see there is a clear path of favouritism towards some in the camp despite their awful performances. He can't do any worse.
Crinklyfox Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 He may not be the most talented player we've had but he gives it 100%, defends as well as attacks and is positive on the pitch. I expect him to do well at Ipswich. When we were in the Championship I was always pleased when he started.
StanSP Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 Will be sad to see him go if this turns in to a permanent move but it's not worked out this season (for other players, too, I know) and he's not getting a look in at the moment so a loan is best for him. Again would leave us short in numbers for wingers but he was barely playing anyway. Wish him well at Ipswich and although I think we should keep him should we get relegated, I don't blame him if he or his agent try to get out of the club.

Silverdaz Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 Why can't 75% of this forum understand this? Maybe because some people on this forum just dont like NP and if a player doesnt play they immediately feel they have had a falling out with NP whereas its just obvious to the rest of us that some players are just not good enough
Vardinhio Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 In fairness though no prem club will come in for Knocky. If he can get promoted with one he might get a contract from them but otherwise he'll be in the Championship or heading back to France. I'd imagine if NP wants to keep him he probably could, it'll probably be more us wanting rid than him wanting out.
cjslcfc Posted 23 February 2015 Author Posted 23 February 2015 Having said he's limited etc... he would certainly be valuable in the Championship should we be relegated and it would be a shame to let him go for a free. The way this season has gone though, I'd doubt he would want to sign a new contract. I'm sure he would have plenty of suitors in the Championship. I wouldn't blame him for leaving.
JIMMYWILLIS Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 We could end up with Schlupp and Albrighton as first choice wingers. That's depressing. But that won't happen will it
ADK Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 He's quite slow and very one footed. He's the sort of player who looks brilliant in the lower leagues but comes up short in the premiership. I hope he does well for them though.
cc_star Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 We could end up with Schlupp and Albrighton as first choice wingers. That's depressing. And Albrighton still wouldn't be able to get a game
Kitchandro Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 His flaw and the reason he hasn't featured is down his is complete lack of pace. He looked slow in the championship let alone this league. He's a fantastic player, but A LOT of people had said he could / would struggle because of it in this league and I'd wager much of that is behind him not featuring. It's a fair point in principle but considering two players who have pace, Mahrez and Schlupp, haven't cut it consistently enough you have to wonder why he hasn't had a chance to prove otherwise. Especially as a) He played very well when called upon at the start of the calendar year and b) he shouldn't be playing on the wing anyway, it's our job to get the best out of him and persisting with him on the wing when he's clearly more suited to a central position hasn't done him or us any favours. For me, this is just another thing that makes me wish Pearson would have been sacked a few weeks ago.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 No time for sentiment, he just doesn't cut it at this level yet, a loan is best for everyone.
kingfox Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 Crying over Knockaert, how pathetic. When he is good he is good, but will still stick by what I've said for ages now, he is vastly overrated by fans. Not a Premier League winger in my opinion, when he got his chance last month he played well, but he looked better defensively than he did going forward, far too slow for me. Therefore loaning him out is the correct decision.
Kitchandro Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 I think he has the potential to play the role behind the striker but have always genuinely thought his lack of pace would hinder him in the PL. I don't think this is a stick you can beat Pearson with. Much like Albrighton, I think Knockaert's stock has risen amongst fans by him being out of the team. Think he's pretty limited actually. Again, this would only be a valid argument if he wasn't persisting with equally if not more limited players.
ImBlue Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 Maybe because some people on this forum just dont like NP and if a player doesnt play they immediately feel they have had a falling out with NP whereas its just obvious to the rest of us that some players are just not good enough Is he any more out of his depth than the manager himself?
cjslcfc Posted 23 February 2015 Author Posted 23 February 2015 Again, this would only be a valid argument if he wasn't persisting with equally if not more limited players. Like? Schlupp and Mahrez are far better players.
