Monsell1976 Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 There is a pattern forming here, pearson failing out with anyone and everyone, but pearson is never in the wrong. The only **** is pearson, he must have used up his nine lives, owners grow some ball, and sack him now. If the man cannot handle being pushed and asked awkward questions, without being abusive, he's shouldn't be a manager of a team, that is higher profile, as he clearly has the inter personnel skills of a thug.
inckley fox Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 The same players who don't perform for the manager. Okay, Pearson does get it wrong sometimes, but fundamentally the players have not performed, not from a lack of effort but a lack of quality. Yesterday, no one but Vardy gets credit from an attacking point of view. Very poor. I keep hearing this. Players he buys, selects, picks a formation for, defends to the hilt and motivates for the next game. That's his job. If we start to blame the players ahead of Pearson now then let us give them credit ahead of him for last season. You have a manager who is responsible for his players, either directly or indirectly. If you didn't, then you wouldn't need a manager.
lgfualol Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 That's a great video. I love when Pearson lashes out.
Raj Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 Well at least we don't have a delusional manager like Sean Dyche claiming we're in a title fight No we have a delusional manager who can't even keep us in a relegation fight.
Mike Oxlong Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 If the team were doing well people would forgive him or even applaud him for how he responded. But we are not and he doesn't know how to improve us either because he failed to build a strong enough squad for this campaign or because he cannot motivate, organise and improve those we have got. This is why he needs the sack not because of some comment at the end of a press conference.
Karljohn Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 Well after the fan incident, player incident he was bound to make it a hat trick.
LAprice_ Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 Pearson's "incidents" are mostly nothing situations caused by a sensationalist form of reporting. He's defiant enough to not conform with all the predictable tabloid rhetoric. The reporter was clearly looking to create tension between two managers. As soon as a manager refuses to get tangled up in the nonsense, he's suddenly criticised for his attitude. It reminds me of something like Football Manager, the video game, in which a tabloid reporter would attempt to create a manager rivalry for the sole purpose creating "entertainment". How does an incident involving Chelsea and PSG have anything to do with Leicester. What annoys me the most is the amount of times someone will back up their anti-Pearson argument with "They were saying on Radio Leicester..." I'm trying to look at this objectively, Pearson has clearly been wound up by money-making media outlets looking for a "story". Telling a fan to FOAD was wrong because of swearing when innocent by-standers may be offended but, it would appear that the fan who had the abuse directed at him was no angel, it doesn't mean it's justified but it should look to counter the implied suggestion that the fan was somehow a victim. "Strangling" McArthur is just a classic example of the media gone mad. The fact that McArthur, himself, said that it was a nothing incident should clearly mean that the story is nullified. Some people are moaning at his behaviour with Radio Leicester. Pearson has no obligation whatsoever to speak to them and anyway, he's not chosen to ignore them, he's chosen to ignore one reporter; a commentator who offers more opinion than actual description. As for this recent swearing incident, once again, swearing is not advisable because some may be offended but if people want to throw tabloid nonsense at Pearson, can he really be blamed for getting annoyed, especially as he's been exposed to it all season. I'm not saying Pearson is always in the right, quite often he's not, I'd just prefer for a form of media that focuses more on the actual analysis of a football match.
benpicko Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 No we have a delusional manager who can't even keep us in a relegation fight. It's clearly a joke post comparing the two in interviews, did either of the people responding to me actually watch the video or just assume that I'm actually defending Pearson?
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 The guy has serious issues when it comes to manners and speaking to the media..... its embarrassing
Raj Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 It's clearly a joke post comparing the two in interviews, did either of the people responding to me actually watch the video or just assume that I'm actually defending Pearson? ...sorry I didn't even watch it!!!!
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 If I was a journalist mis-representing what another manager had said to try and make a story out of nothing and then kept going at it over and over when the question had already been answered, I wouldn't have too many complaints at being called a ****. Plenty of reasons to criticise Pearson this season - transfers, tactics, team selections etc - but this is a bit of a mountain out of a molehill. There'll always be the odd one in the press/media pack trying to make a name for themselves though by trying to be clever.
Raj Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 Sorry Geoff its not washing anymore. The journo maybe unprofessional but no need for Pearson to be.He knows by now everything he does in the media compound will be scrutinised in the Premier League. This is not the mickey mouse League One where you can get away with crap

If so, can you confirm his status as '****' or not? Also, Steve Bruce said our players were trying to get a red card from the ref, the journo asked about it. Not sure what he was mis-representing in your eyes? Plus in isolation the incident probably wouldnt be talked out too much but the culmination of everything means we are.
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 Tbf Mahrez did roll around like a girl!!!! who doesn't these days? The game has gone out of control nowadays with tackles etc
GingerrrFox Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 TBF to Mahrez, Alex Bruce took the ball first but followed straight through and took him clean out with two feet with studs up on both. If Mahrez hadn't jumped slightly and had his feet planted he would have easily broken his leg. It was a dirty tackle and he knows it too.
Raj Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 who doesn't these days? The game has gone out of control nowadays with tackles etcYep no tackling allowed.A good tackle in the old days(15 years ago!!!) Would get the crowd going...now its just a booking
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 I thought he dealt with the question fairly. I don't think he directly called the journalist a ****, he seemed to mutter it under his breath. Should have waited until he was out of the room though. in isolation the incident probably wouldnt be talked out too much but the culmination of everything means we are. That's a fair point. He's not massively comfortable with the media at the best of times and everything - some of his own doing of course - seems to be going wrong. He's gone from the midas touch last season to the complete opposite this. Truly baffling.
somebum Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 Just watched the video. I think Pearsons behaviour this season has become increasingly erratic. After years of researching mental health myself, i think he is on the verge of a full breakdown.

I think if he'd stuck to last years style (4-4-2, high pressing, pace), we may well have been in the same position, but at least there wouldnt be such resentment. He has too many issues and weaknesses to go over but in my eyes, if you play badly and lose, play well and lose or play indifferently and lose, things are probably at a point that need changing.

These are reasonable comments but I would just like to point out that comments about his conduct yesterday started to appear on here as soon as the video was released, before any of the media picked up on it, and even now the media haven't made a huge deal out of it, so the comments you're reading on are nothing to do with the media sensationalism the story, they are the honest opinions of individual fans.

If we'd stuck rigidly with 4-4-2 and had the same points as now, fans would be saying: "He doesn't know how to adapt to the PL, we have no plan B etc" Formation aside (as often what we perceived as a 4-4-2 Pearson or Shakespeare would say was actually 4-2-3-1), the attacking intent would have seen the majority happy. In my opinion, if we had taken that approach in games against those around us, i'm confident it would have seen a better points and goals return.

Disappointed with most aspects to the season and one them being not "going for it" more.
