justfoxes Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 Oh I've got a superb idea !! Let's start another thread do we keep Pearson or sack him ?? Who's for it ?????! !!!!!
AKCJ Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 Don't skirt the question. When have you heard Arsene Wenger, Mourinho, ANY of the Prem managers ever give an interview like Pearson gave? Either on TV or captured on YouTube? Come up with the evidence. Until then, I'll dismiss you as just another boring Pearsonite. What point are you trying to prove? He's given an entirely normal press conference until that "journalist" piped up at the end. He asked a silly question and he got the right answer. What are you getting offended over? Are you trying to deny that the "journalist" was a ****? He's muttered it that quietly that the microphone had to be turned up to be heard. Get over yourself for christ's sake. "Pearsonite" Because I don't think that calling someone a **** under their breath is damaging to the club? Get a ****ing grip you moron. Doesn't happen, eh?
bovril Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 Seriously, why can I not type a very harmless verb / noun like ****? A small pin ****.
Donut Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 And the very best example. NSFW given the language. This is why we know Joe Kinnear as an absolute tool. What point are you trying to prove? He's given an entirely normal press conference until that "journalist" piped up at the end. He asked a silly question and he got the right answer. What are you getting offended over? Harry Redknapp looks like an idiot not knowing the camera is on him. Ferguson and Wenger clearly annoyed. Didnt look clever. I agree. Anyway, whats your argument? two wrongs make a right? Pearson is a ticking bomb in front of the media. Youve posted one clip of Wenger annoyed, and i can give you 5 examples of media disasters in a matter of months from Pearson
ElusiveEd Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 I'd be in favour of a media ban of NP's press conferences/interviews until he (He never does) apologises. Maybe that would make the owners sit up, smell the coffee and sack this muppet. Yet again, he's bringing the club into disrepute. Is there not a code of conduct and the need for mutual respect between clubs and the media? In my book the former, thro NP, has and continues to show, no respect whatsoever. The man is a complete embarrassment on and off the pitch and the owners should deal with him now.
shailen Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 I keep hearing this. Players he buys, selects, picks a formation for, defends to the hilt and motivates for the next game. That's his job. If we start to blame the players ahead of Pearson now then let us give them credit ahead of him for last season. You have a manager who is responsible for his players, either directly or indirectly. If you didn't, then you wouldn't need a manager. But on the whole I don't think his tactics have been that bad, apart from when he played a diamond in midfield. That was catastrophic. Let's face it every formation has its strengths and weaknesses, and no formation is defensive or attacking anyway. It is how the team are suited to that formation. I keep hearing that he has set up defensively with 5 at the back. Liverpool last season and this season play the same formation with two attacking full backs as we did yesterday with Schlupp and De Laet. I don't think anyone can tell me that Liverpool aren't an attacking side. If you want to question whether the formation we play is not suited to the players we have, fine. I believe it has worked in the past, but didn't work yesterday. But don't say tactics are the root cause of why we weren't attacking. Secondly coming to your point, both the players and manager will take equal blame. But this season has been a strange one. I know people won't wanna hear this and I will get slated for this but we haven't been playing that badly all season. (Yesterday was an exception of course). I watched Burnley a lot this season and they don't look really threatening at all but when they get half a chance they put it away. THAT's the difference. For me the manager can change tactics, personell, strategies...etc but until we take chances there is going to be no difference in results. Our forwards know how to score, Vardy, Nugent and Ulloa have proven this in the past and Kramaric comes into the team in riduculous goal scoring form. Until they find this back we can go 1-1-8 or 5-4-1 and we won't score. Our goal scoring has been poor and it is what will cost us ultimately

Nige clearly doesn't know that the viewers can hear him. Get over yourself with your desperate need to be offended with everything Nige does and grow up while you're at it.

Get over yourself with your desperate need to be offended with everything Nige does and grow up while you're at it. I think you must be very idiot to not understand, that the point is youre stupid for being so blissfully unaware of your ramblings that can be captured on video or microphone. Youre entering and leaving a press conference. You think some cameras and microphones might be there? Is it really the place to be using that kind of language knowing its probably going to be picked up on? or do you just plead ignorance like a fool. At what lengths does it take for a proud Pearsonite criticise the man?

Someone shows other examples and you still turn it around to Pearson again.
Donut Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 You make out it's only Pearson that gets angry. Someone shows other examples and you still turn it around to Pearson again. I said id rather we had a manager who conducted himself more professionally. And by reading on this forum, im not alone either. Jog on.
Fox92 Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 I said id rather we had a manager who conducted himself more professionally. And by reading on this forum, im not alone either. Jog on. And there's plenty that disagree too, even providing examples of other managers. Jog on.

At what lengths does it take for a proud Pearsonite criticise the man? I've said that he was stupid to say it. I've said that he should have just walked out. But i've also said that some muppets are making mountains out of molehills in order to find something to bring him down. It's just sad. Sad that we've acually got people who dare call themselves supporters who are desperate for the man to fail. People who don't criticise Nige at every opportunity are derogatorily labelled as a "Pearsonite" by muppets. Are you not ashamed to be one of these?
Donut Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 And there's plenty that disagree too, even providing examples of other managers. Jog on. Plenty? i see the same narrow band of Pearson can do no wrong chumps clinging together, namely you, AKCJ, MC Prussian trying to defend the impossible and knowing with each passing incident and inept display, your support is looking more and more daft.

Pearson can do wrong. I criticise him often, when it's warranted. I'm defending him in this thread though because I think it's stupid. Another heated moment, no surprise given our position in the league and this reporting not only asking questions but twisting words of the opposition manager.
theessexfox Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 Plenty? i see the same narrow band of Pearson can do no wrong chumps clinging together, namely you, AKCJ, MC Prussian trying to defend the impossible and knowing with each passing incident and inept display, your support is looking more and more daft. I see you and some others (haven't kept track) desperate for any ammunition to exaggerate and use against Pearson when there's some fairly factual and proportional criticism to direct at him - namely his tactics, team selections and transfers.

I aint bringing him down. I buy a ticket and sit in the stand. He can influence what the team does a hell of a lot more than I can. The fact im now critical of him (and with f*****g good reason as well) does not disqualify me from being a fan. I support Leicester City FC, not Nigel Pearson FC. Frankly, you can call me a muppet till the sun comes up if criticism of this incident makes me a muppet.

Im critical of those too. But his media disasters are the cherry on top of a huge shitcake.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 Chirst people just want to be offended by everything. How many times in your work have you muttered under your breath that a colleague/boss/customer is a twat? He didn't kick off like Fergie, Wenger, 'Arry etc going mad at the reporter so this is a complete non incident. This sort of 'media' persona bollocks just weakens the argument of the Pearson out crowd because it just proves that everything the bloke does is wrong to you. If we had Mourinho in charge and he called a reporter a **** then I'm sure you would all be saying how great he is. I'm more than happy to criticise Pearson for his team selection/formation/transfer dealings but this sort of nonsense is just people trying to take a cheap shot and stir up controversy. Stringer will be fapping himself silly.
shailen Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 As fans of Leicester City, we have a duty to support our players and managers. Obviously we all have opinions and we should be allowed to express them, but for those 90 minutes whilst they are trying to win a football game we give our full support. Whether you want Pearson out or not, during those 90 minutes you do whatever you do to support them. After the game, we can all come on forums, speak to friends and voice our opinions but we support the team during a match. Pearson isn't going to be sacked at half time of a game, and so the negativity will only have a damaging effect.
GingerrrFox Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 ****ing hell Col's gone a bit quiet since all those videos popped up of other high profile managers losing their rag. Nigel's the only one though lads!
Foxhateram Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 Yes my players are all cun*s who purposely try to get players sent off. Steve is an absolute legend and I think he should be The FA president because he can obviously see when cheating is going on. I think that might be the answer to the question some of you were looking for. Instead he stuck up for his players, which is why the club and the players love the guy. He takes his players under his wing and will take a shot for them. Here is taking the media attention away from his players, even if it means getting hate mail himself. The reporter was a knob, he was saying it how it is. If someone was repeatedly telling you that your kids/ class/ team you coach were lying cheats (which is completely untrue) would you not retaliate and tell them to stop being a knob? And feck off?

I dont get this. The journalist was not making a personal remark that HE believed we had a team of lying cheats. He was asking for Pearson's response to Steve Bruce's comments about our players surrounding the referee. Thats why i dont get the over the top reaction. That question can be easily answered without an aggressive quip.
Corky Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 He should've told Steve Bruce to look at the video again, the Hull players were the first ones around the referee.
Donut Posted 15 March 2015 Posted 15 March 2015 He should've told Steve Bruce to look at the video again, the Hull players were the first ones around the referee. Why not use that as the response to the question then? wouldnt that have been better than "No" "I said NO" "IVE ANSWERED THE QUESTION. NO".
