So glad the NFL is back. How is everyone thinking their teams will do this year?

Expecting very little from the Eagles this season, so I'll cherish the memories of last season. The NFC East hasn't had a repeat division winner in many years, so there's only way to go after a Super Bowl winning season.

Side note- always get a laugh when people post about expensive tickets for certain away fixtures. Dallas @ Philadelphia is predictably sold out tonight, and the cheapest available tickets on Stubhub around $450 per seat. Parking is $50, it all adds up. The TV product is so good...there's no thought of needing to spend that ever again.

I'd love for Eagles to do it again because Barkley is so good to watch. But you wonder if Bills could finally do it with their offence.

Ravens perhaps?

I think Seahawks (the team I follow) may just about make playoffs but can't see it being anything special this season.

Its always feast of famine with the 49ers.... over the last 14 years, its 7 years missing the Playoffs, and 7 years making at least the NFC Championship game (no need to mention the 8 seasons before that...)

Last year, despite a couple of early silly losses, we were still 5-4 - then after another avoidable loss to the Seahawks, and more injuries, the team just gave up and ended up 6-11. And on top of that, we have lost some key pieces (Deebo Samuel to Washington) - with the defence completely raided in free agency (Greenlaw to Broncos, Javon Hargrave to the Vikings, with Charvarius Ward and Leonard Floyd also leaving).

However, the core is still there - Purdy, Kittle, McCaffry, Bosa, WIlliams, so the big "if" is whether they can all stay healthy. Robert Saleh somehow decided his best career choice was to come back as Defensive Coordinator, when he really could have had a HC job if he wanted. There is a promising crop of rookies, and Shanahan has finally understood the need to completely reset Special Teams, which has really hurt the past few years, so new coach, snapper, punter etc, so there are actually a lot of positives.

My gut feeling was that after making the Superbowl 2 years ago (which we should have won), the players were knackered physically and emotionally, and also thought they just needed to turn up to make the playoffs, so weren't ready to fight in the big moments. This year is the polar opposite. The players are refreshed and have a chip on their shoulder and a point to prove. So I reckon its back to NFC Championship game at least!

But big thing for me this year is that during the awful end to last year, when the team couldn't be bothered, the 49ers' games lost their shine. And having now discovered the CFL, my summer sporting ritual has been Argos podcasts and the Argos game being the big event. Being honest about it, I've found the CFL games better, the culture more down to earth and enjoyable, and keeping up with the 2-3 other games a week very simple, so I've no anticipation or excitement at all for this NFL season. I'm sure that will change with the first RedZone of the season, and the first Niners game and I'll get into it, but it all just feels a bit like being caught in the NFL machine, with the same old OTT posturing and everything being money driven and it all feels a bit lacking at the moment.

I'm not expecting much from the Steelers this season, hoping to at least make the play offs and then anything after that for me would be a bonus. Just so glad it's back always look forward to the season starting.

Bills for me.

Certainly capable of making the Super Bowl, but winning it is a whole other story lol

My niece is a big Packers fan, so i watch all their games. They could contend this season.

I’m expecting nothing less than a Super Bowl winning season for my Packers 😋

The panthers are gonna be worse than last season I’m sure.

Is Bryce Young still QB? He did get a bit better the latter half of the season but he isn't who I would want.

Really enjoyed that Cowboys documentary although it was like watching another sport watching all of the hits in the middle of the field. Irvin running routes that are common nowadays but back then it was so brutal.

As for my Denver Broncos I am not on board with the amount of hype we are getting pre-season. Expect a 6/7 seed like last year to be honest as still don't think our run game is going to be that good. Expecting Bo to continue to improve and the buzz around training camp is that Mims and Franklin are ready to take a big leap at receiver this year but I am not so sure. Didn't like Franklin at all last year but maybe it clicks. The defence should continue to be good and I don't see how teams are going to score on us. Our DT/DE are all returning and adding in Greenlaw at LB is an upgrade on a position we have sucked at for years. Jahdae Barron gives us loads of corner back depth if he is as good as he is expected opposite Surtain.

He is. But he isn’t the problem it’s them around him. The backs are ok in Hubbard and Dowdle and there’s a couple of decent WR’s in Legette and Renfrow but it’s certainly not enough to even come close to challenging a play off spot.

The Raiders were so good in the Marcus Allen days (early 80s I think). They had a decent team in the early 2000s but are way overdue a Superbowl win.

Not expecting anything from the Seahawks to fair. Potentially a flirt with the playoffs but it’s a push. Don’t think we’ve strengthened bar Zabel who looks good.

Chiefs really aren't very good.

Scrappy to say the least….. took ages for them to get going. Such a shame, Sky will potentially have mardy Taylor Swift to show every break now…..
