Nalis Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 I motion clapping in the third minute of every game until eternity in honour of Richard III
Foxmeister Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Well we've had Walkers and KP so we just need Golden Wonder for the set. It would be a bit ironic calling it King Dick when we've fought hard and ended up dead and buried this season.
BlueSi13 Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 First game against York City? King Richard III Trophy anyone?
red5 Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 First game against York City? King Richard III Trophy anyone? We'll still play 5 at the back.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 I wish we had a proper name like Filbert Street instead of all this branding nonsense. Filbert Street was renamed City Business Stadium, wasn't it? Why don't people just refer to the ground as Filbert Way / Freeman's Wharf if it bothers them that much?
Collibosher70 Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 With Pearson in charge how about the 'theatre of bad dreams'
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 The Durex Stadium would seem very apt, at the present time.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 The Durex Stadium would seem very apt, at the present time. What are we going to call it when you're not in it though?
Weller in Tights Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 What are we going to call it when you're not in it though? Brilliant, I don't often laugh at the pathetic attempts at humour on here, but that line about Dangerous Tiger and his Durex Stadium comment is a beauty. Fez the Mahrez -Top of the class
MC Prussian Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 It's already been known as the Crisp Bowl and the King Prawn Stadium. We can't win. May as well name it after a Dick. Dick Tracy Stadium.
Monsell1976 Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 With Pearson in charge how about the 'theatre of bad dreams'You will be getting a bad name mate, I have never put pearson out or called him a name, and I always get used as an example, when certain poster mention people who don't like pearson.Be careful might get the witch hunt after you

Fox92 Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Filbert Street was renamed City Business Stadium, wasn't it? Why don't people just refer to the ground as Filbert Way / Freeman's Wharf if it bothers them that much? I believe it was but it's known to everyone as Filbert Street, even opposition fans. Oh yeah Filbert Way that's fine I just think overall a more solid name would be better. "Upton Park", "Bramall Lane" etc they all sound better. It doesn't bother me that much just an opinion.
Vicki Vixen Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 My brother still calls it the Walkers Bowl, which I secretly enjoy.
RedSoxUK Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 His only connection is dying in Leicestershire as a royal with a very tarnished image, closer to Hinckley AFC probably. As for 'King Power Stadium', i'm not too fussed. I'd rather have a consistent brand throughout the club with shirt / stadium sponsor than various outside sponsors.
johnny the fox Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 A small brown Richard the 3rd.. cockney rhyming slang for shight..... it fits for this season at least...
pleatout Posted 25 March 2015 Posted 25 March 2015 I believe it was but it's known to everyone as Filbert Street, even opposition fans. Except West Ham don't play at Upton Park, they play at the Boleyn Ground. I'll get mi coat
Spudulike Posted 25 March 2015 Posted 25 March 2015 His only connection is dying in Leicestershire as a royal with a very tarnished image, closer to Hinckley AFC probably. Not true. Records show at least 5 occasions when he was in Leicester. The last authentic record of Leicester Castle's occupation seems to be a letter written by Richard the Third to the King of France and signed 'from my castle in Leicester'.
Mike Oxlong Posted 25 March 2015 Posted 25 March 2015 How about naming it after one of our greatest The Gok Stadium
Mike Oxlong Posted 25 March 2015 Posted 25 March 2015 The Sergio Hellings Memorial Park That was good till the thread got deleted. Now people will be saying WTF!
