Poor decision making for their second Simpson 5 Too many silly fouls Morgan 5 Worst game in a year. Curtis Davies (who was excellent) had the beating of him all game Hernandez 5 Struggled with the physical nature and also his timing was poor on several occasions Fuchs 6 Gets an extra point for the excellent one two that almost brought us a goal Gray 6 Not as bad as some are making out. Kept trying to create things for us King 4 Anonymous Drinkwater 7 Tidy in possession and full of endeavour. Our MOTM Mahrez 5 Lethargic but would still start him next week. I've seen him have worse games Musa 7 Lightening quick and will get better as he gets more used to the league Vardy 4 Anonymous . Pre season has done us no favours. Purely a money spinner thats gave us a losing mentallity. Should've played Championship and league 1 sides. Badly misses Kante Mahrez 4 Again, looked disinterested to me. Musa 6 Effective at times with his pace. Also wasted out wide left Vardy - 5 Missed all three chances, dominated by Curtis Davies Okazaki - 6 Injected some energy Amartey - 5 OK, but lacking confidence Ulloa - 5 Not on long Ranieri - 4 Stop playing both wingers on wrong wing. Claudio 4 - Safe to say he didn't get this one right Kasper 5 - Overall pretty good but poor distribution led directly to their second goal Fuchs 5 - Thought he felt exposed and a step off at points Wes 5 - Missed Huth next to him Hernandez 4 - Not great Simpson 6 - Did OK Riyad 5 - Not his best work. Coolly put away that penalty though King 3 - Chased a lot of shadows. Need to see Amartey or Mendy here next week Drinky 7 - MOTM for me Gray 5 - Flashes of brilliance but not yet there Musa 7 - Good performance. If anything he was too unselfish Vardy 4 - Not on his game today Amartey 6 - Promising Ulloa N/A - Not really his fault but wasn't involved enough after coming on Shinji 7 - Added a lot once he came on. Played King in a midfield 2 against a physical side, and waited until the 70th minute to rectify the mistake. Schmeichel- 4- The Schmeichel of old. Came for and got nowhere near a cross in his 6 yard box 1st half, gave the ball away which led to a goal in the 2nd. Hopefully he regains his form from last season. Simpson- 5- steady. Morgan- 5- a bit shaky, but lacked support from the midfield Hernandez- 4- as above, but looked a bit suspect in his positioning. Hopefully just settling in. Fuchs- 6- decent, could have been a very different afternoon if he scored his chance. Mahrez- 4- got the goal, but nothing he did came off. Held onto the ball for too long under pressure. King- 3- largely anonymous in a game where we needed a presence. Drinkwater- 6- battled hard and looked decent. Movement up top wasn't great, so his options for forward passes were limited. Gray- 4- nothing he did really worked Vardy- 4- could/should have had a hat-trick. Major off-day by his standards. Musa- 6- looked lively, should have had a couple of assists. Good debut, in the circumstances. Subs: Amartey- 5- shored things up a bit in midfield, but too late to do anything about the result. Most bizarre decision was starting with a centre half pairing he hadn't given a chance to play together pre-season. Kasper 4 - Throw for second goal was horrific, hilarious attempts at catching crosses at times. Fuchs 6 - One of our best, doing defence and attacks job at times Wes 5 - Missed Huth next to him Hernandez 4 - Shambolic start, Wasyl must be a better option. Simpson 4 - Comical at times and looks off the pace, no cover though from Mahrez. Riyad 5 - Looked like someone who ddn't wan tto be here. King 2 - Like playing with ten men. The total opposite to Kante. Drinky 7 - Did incredibly well, even mroe so when you look at his partner. Gray 4 - Gives the ball away far too much and provides zero in terms of defensive cover. Musa 6 - Does some excellent things, then some shocking things, he's going to be very hit and miss but we'll get flashes of brilliance as well as flashes of Akinbiyi. Vardy 3 - Worst he has played, expect more than this is he's on 100k+ a week Amartey 6 - Did ok. I already saw the higlights, but I really apreciate being able to read supporters' ratings and opinions. Vardinhio Posted 15 August 2016 Share Posted 15 August 2016 schmeichel 3 - hollywood save for the first which led to a smart finish and then completely at fault for the 2nd simpson 5 - underwhelming, offered little moving forward and gained a daft yellow card hernandez 4 - looked shaky all game and it was more luck than judgement that the ball landed at his feet following tumbles with his namesake. morgan 5 - looked far worse without Huth next to him. Whether his fault or not he and Hernandez looked poor together. fuchs 5 - The guy should probably have recieved a 2nd yellow card but he gets a 5 for his ambitious run that nearly bought a goal in light of a total lack of ideas from anyone else. mahrez 4 - poor with the ball and careless, would be less but he scored the penalty and he still had that "x factor". He tried a few things but nothing came off. drinkwater 6 - Regularly fustrated by a lack of quality around him. He gets a 6 for effort but an England international should have been able to make something happen. king 4 - anonymous, lacked pace and idea. I sometimes get the feeling he is happy to hide from the limelight which absolutely killed us. gray 5 - tried to be positive on ocassions but no end product and poor crossing vardy 4 - can not give him too much credit for being in the right positions, he is a striker afterall. He should have scored at least one and had ran out of ideas when hull decided to sit deep. musa 6 - A few nice runs, he tried to use his pace in tight areas to make something. No shots though which is a problem for a striker. okazaki 6 - Positive when came on, not much else to say amartey 5 - did not notice him when he came on, however got around more than Kingy ulloa - on too late to make a difference Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
