Hackneyisblue Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 Great news but confusing, someone told me last week that he had signed for Toronto.
Ric Flair Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 If Hayles can be moved on, then this is great news.
Mark Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 Never liked him, never will. Moan moan moan. We haven't got a Brian Deane to feed him either. He'd probably be useful in League 1 but we need to sell at least 2 strikers first.
davieG Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 They'll be a strong division of opinions if this signing comes off, I'm not too fussed about the badge kissing I'll be staying then pissing off situation but it seems many are. I've just become ambivalent these days about all aspects relating to players, contracts, wages, loyalty etc. etc. There's much I don't like but little one can do about it except stop watching.

Very true, I just feel the club are mixed messages, are we building for the future or short term, if he does sign, I hope it's a 1 year deal!! Money is a close second to being King!!!
Jon the Hat Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 Ah you cannot blame the guy for wanting to play a the highest level when he left, and nor can you know whether he actually went back on his word or whether he was told to go to reduce the wage bill. He has skills we could do with and would be effective at this level. Get it done.
Ric Flair Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 I've heard countless times before that Dickov didn't actually want to leave Leicester, but had no choice due to several reasons.
Rocky Dennis Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 Footballers=Arseholes! FACT Get over it!! There is no loyalty in football, getting emotional over the fact that he left us once is totally pointless. I dislike people like Stearman more than Dicko, supposed life long City fan, badge kissing, tears after relegation etc.. He soon jumped ship and will be kissing the Wolves badge before long!! Dickov is a quality striker, would def score goals in this league and possibly get us out of it, he's ten times better than DJ and Fryatt ever were, are or will be! Get him in.
Vardinhio Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 OMG if this comes off I will actually cum in my pants! Dickov! Please please please sign! Please!
GLC Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 always liked him, wound alot of defenders up alot better than the current cr*p we have
Vardinhio Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 has anyone else heard this? I would so love it to be true. It would make my week/month
Mark Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 has anyone else heard this?I would so love it to be true. It would make my week/month On the half 8 news just said something like former City favourite Paul Dickov has offers from City, Blackpool and Toronto.
NewquayFox Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 Get Dickov in and maybe he can teach last seasons shower of Gobshites where the back of the net is,good signing and maybe a 2 year deal to see us through the Championship next season ? ;0)
Bellend Sebastian Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 Badge kissing is just something agents tell players to do. If you think it means anything to someone getting paid THOUSANDS of pounds a week, life will be a source of constant disappointment to you. I'm all for Dickov re-joining, if he's still got the legs (oo-er). He actually scores goals, as opposed to someone who doesn't but tries really hard, or someone that 'causes defenders a lot of problems' (but doesn't score any goals), or someone that would miraculously score bucketloads if we dropped down a division, having not scored many before
Vardinhio Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 Bet he'll go to Blackpool or Toronto then:( Dickov! There's only one Dickov!
AyewJoking Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 Oh well, we're league one now so I guess signing "over the hill" players is acceptable. DICKOV, THERES ONLY ONE DICKOV
Ric Flair Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 Oh well, we're league one now so I guess signing "over the hill" players is acceptable.DICKOV, THERES ONLY ONE DICKOV The 5 so far have hardly been over the hill.
Samilktray Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 Don't think he'll be a massive improvement on what we've got. Would prefer to keep Hayles.
Tilley Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 Don't think he'll be a massive improvement on what we've got.Would prefer to keep Hayles.
Durnerz Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 A striker who works his bollocks off, its not like he half arsed it for this club then sodded off like most. Plus as he showed last season with Blackpool hes still got his finishing touch. I'd welcome him with open arms.
Simi Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 Never liked him, never will. Moan moan moan. We haven't got a Brian Deane to feed him either. He'd probably be useful in League 1 but we need to sell at least 2 strikers first. Don't really want to see him back here. Would only be for the money.
