okie fox Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 I thought that he had moved to Toronto. I saw Toronto on TV Saturday. Dickov was in talks with them, but still hasn't signed.
Thracian Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 Until he was linked with us, he was still not welcome around here. The abuse he got at Blackpool will tell you that.No they weren't but as I've said that's not the point. They're here now and here to stay by the looks of things. If Dickov came here, he'd have a lot to prove hopefully. But if I had the choice of signing him or not, I'd tell him to **** off. It's just a thought but had Dickov scored the goal he got that day, not for Blackpool but for us, we probably wouldn't have been relegated. And few would have abused him then.
Finnegan Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 He'll get abuse but I don't really care. He'll also probably score a few goals and wind people up. Most of our strikers couldn't out-muscle Mena Suvari, a bit of grit and attitude up top would really do us a world of good. Howard might be six-foot-something but he's got all the aggressive leanings of a wet lettuce.
the manc Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 i dunno if this as been mentioned but he scored a very important goal against gillingham (play off final) in this division for man city and then they went on to back to back promotions to the premiership! lightning striking twice! i ll have a slice of that pie!
ASH17LCFC Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 He's better then Howard DJ Fryatt Hayles A.Chambers
diggler Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 Whatever your thoughts are of Dickov (I still hold a vicious grudge) is anyone else fed up with the club being one step/one year behind everyone else? People were talking about Dickov coming here last year...the club weren't interested, he went to Blackpool and scored crucial goals; now the club are interested. Holloway got put on gardening leave because he thought he was coming to us. He didn't, but after a good start with Plymouth, he finally came to us (and messed up). Grayson would have been a popular choice when he was doing well at a League 1 Blackpool, but the club didn't think he was experienced enough. A year later, the club are refused permission to approach him. And the worst....a lot of fans liked the look of Ince and the job he was doing at Macclesfield. The club didn't agree. A year later, he turns us down and goes to Premiership Blackburn. When are we gonna get one right.............?
Tabou Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 Why? I dont understand this fascination with everyone adding the footballers on there. Its not like the majority of people know them. People just want them on the friends list to try and look "cool". Unless you actually know the person why add them? On a seperate note. Yes id love to see Dickov back here! It was a joke, based on MP's experiences with Sheehan. Jeeeez some people do not get jokes.
DB11 Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 he will score for fun me thinks get him in We won't be going back to La Manga I don't think...
Ashley Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 We won't be going back to La Manga I don't think... Even tho he was innocent? It was more Frank Sinclair apprently he'd done something similar in his younger days at Chelsea.
Bryn Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 We won't be going back to La Manga I don't think... Pretty damn funny by your standards.
MikeyT Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 It was a joke, based on MP's experiences with Sheehan.Jeeeez some people do not get jokes. I'm not a mind reader! Plus its hard to interperate a joke written over the internet, oh and if it was a joke it really wasnt funny! Jeeeeeez yourself!
Vardinhio Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 yeh im really starting to not believe this was on the radio. Not a whisper elsewhere
Smiffy Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 yeh im really starting to not believe this was on the radio. Not a whisper elsewhere I just heard it on RL. Also in talks with Blackpool and Toronto. I looked on their website but they don't have anything posted. But RL probably gets all its info from FT!
Matt Posted 14 July 2008 Posted 14 July 2008 If he signs good, he'll score goals and I will cheer them, as there Leicester goals however I will not be cheering him, I will not forgive him, The only advantage if he does sign and do well he's too old for other clubs to want him - Therefore we can't resurect his career again for him to throw it back in our faces. I'm too stubborn to cheer him or forgive him for what he did, I'm wouldn't be bother by the fact he left, what I was bother about was he knew he was going well before the end of the season (Apparently) and I know he was caught of guard by the birch but surely when Birch asked him if he was staying he could have just said "We'll have to see what happens over the summer" whats so hard about saying that. Humey did similar, worse perhaps - He wasn't even asked he just came out and did that statement on his own. It'd be a good signing I suppose but i'm not overly bother if he comes or doesn't, Basically he didn't want us so i'm not sure if I want him.

It's a bit different to leaving off your own back, than being forced out.
