Victor Kristiansen (an option for Forest, Percy.)

Can’t imagine anyone will want to take a player who has been relegated in back to back PL seasons and not had a pre-season due to injury. imagine we’re stuck with him until Jan. -
Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

If he’s desperate to play in the Premier League and we feel his performances with us might be affected by this I’m wondering if a straight loan is the best option. We could command a loan fee and get his wages covered that would cover the cost of a replacement(s). I look at it as a win/win - if he does well and we got promoted he either comes back to us with another years PL experience or we command a higher fee then we would get now. If he doesn’t perform, he comes back to us and we review it. Don’t get me wrong - I would rather keep him as along with Fatawu will be one of the best players in the league. I just don’t want anyone with us who doesn’t want to be here. I also don’t want us to take a cut-price deal if he tries to force a move. As long as we got sufficient remuneration and he played a certain % of games it wouldn’t be the worst idea imo. -

JJ seems like a really nice bloke when hearing him in interviews. He’s had a really tough time of it with injuries. The reality is that he is not as good as he was pre-ACL and if we can get a decent fee for him we should take it. That said, he’s always given his best here and his drop off is due to injuries and mid-management. Would wish him well and would ask fellow supporters not to disrespect him should he move on. -
Wait and see what our PSR penalty is…….

Marti could have learnt a lot last night. Hamza can’t be trusted. One minute he’s making great tackles and scoring a worldie, next he’s giving away a daft penalty and not closing players down. He doesn’t have the brain to play at top level. Nelson was very poor first half then improved in the 2nd. Nerves? If so he needs more work than we think. Faes and Thomas played well. Whether we want to admit it or not Faes is our best centre back. We need to sort Winks situation out. If he’s staying he will be integral to this team but if he wants out get him gone and work on a replacement. Disappointed that he didn’t put himself forward for a pen in the shootout. Skipp and Soumare doesn’t work as a two. I would use Skipp as fresh legs to see games out purely in the 6 role. I actually thought Soumare did well last night, there were certainly players who played worse. I wonder if the hate towards him would go away even if he performed well consistently- my feeling is that many fans have made their minds up and nothing will change it. Mcateer isn’t a winger- certainly not on the right. I would try to convert him as a 9. Got the attributes. Mavididi looked sharp when he came on.Bilal looked like he was going through the motions. Same situation as Winks for me. Monga and Page were class. They need minutes this season, both have a very bright future. Alves needs a loan. Let’s see where he’s at when he’s had a full season under his belt. Striker signing has to be a priority. Neither offer anywhere near enough. I would actually sign 2 and use Ayew in the 10 (either as a starter or sub).

This but with Faes for Okoli

Pre-game I wasn’t overly concerned about the result - I was more interested in our players application. There are very few players tonight who should be expecting to be selected to start on Saturday. Those not regularly starting should be performing to a level that gives the manager a problem. He’s already picked his team for Preston. My concern now is there is too much to do in what remains of the window. We need to get things moving asap. Get the Okoli and BEK deals done and sign a starting centre mid, 10 and centre forward. Use the loan market to then improve as many other areas in the squad as we can. That was concerning tonight.

Maybe he’s forcing the move….. again. -
Could we have been put in a position where we were told that to avoid a deduction we have to cut our wage bill by X and bring in Y in fees? We still have four loan spots so we might be waiting until the end of the window to make the most of them

Begovic Joseph Faes Nelson Aluko Choudhury Page Mcateer Alves Monga daka

Collyer on loan.

He scored it

I’m surprised more clubs haven’t come in for him as several need/have needed keepers. Chelsea have been linked with several but didn’t come in for him (even more surprising given Enzo link), Man Utd and Newcastle have struggled in that position and Bournemouth and Brentford lost last seasons keepers. Man City also re-signed Trafford for a significantly higher fee than we’re getting for Mads. Any chance he’s not as good as we think he is? Looking back he has made several errors leading to goals with both his feet and hands since he’s been with us. His injury history also leaves a question mark.

Including a howler at their place iirc.

Too good of an opportunity to make some decent profit. Confident Stolarcyzk will be more than capable in the championship. If we get promoted we can always reassess.

Besiktas confirm they are close to signing Wilfred Ndidi
Jazzy_Jeff replied to Ric Flair's topic in Transfer Talk
I’m happy we’ve found a solution that works for us both. Not knowing for certain but I imagine he could have walked away prior to now and hurt us financially. He signed a new contract, gave his all last season and then moves on with us earning a fair fee. All the best Wilf, someone whose career I will continue to follow and would love to see do well. He’s one of the good guys. 💙🦊- 118 replies

I’m hoping it’s Vestergaard, if we can lose his wages and bring in an affordable replacement it would free up wages elsewhere
-
We don’t need him, doesn’t fit our style and even if he did we’re stacked in his position(s)

From Sundays game it looked to me like there is an element of flexibility in midfield. At times we saw Skipp pressing high and making runs to create space with BEK dropping deeper. Soumare seemed to be the more disciplined however there were instances when he pressed and Skipp sat. We will definitely need another one in if Ndidi goes and I would imagine their profile would need to me more of an 8 than a 6.

Jazzy_Jeff replied to lcfc_forever's topic in Transfer Talk
I’d love for him to stay but can understand letting him go if we make a decent profit off him. I would however be disappointed if we only made a small profit following sale to a newly promoted side. If that’s all that’s available to him we need to convince him to commit - even offering a new contract with pay increase now we’ve lowered our wage bill considerably. -
Not with Marti - I think he’ll go for the jugular. First impressions of him are he talks well and appears to be a real people person. I do however think he’s got a side to him and he’ll be demanding we punish Sheff Weds on Sunday if we get an early goal or two.

Is Wilf going to be missed? Ndidi is 👀 couldn’t resist! good move for all, I wish him well.

I’d like to think we’ll make some moves in the loan market towards the end of the window. I would much rather borrow some talent for this season rather than spend money on players who end up not being good enough next season if we get promoted
-
Only if we have a decent sell on. I would only take £20m now if there were some achievable addons and 10-15% sell on.
