  1. Its hard to watch at the best of times but jeez, this is very difficult to watch. Ive switched over to the Antiques road show repeats, that's how bad its got!
  2. He comes across as a really dopey individual who hasnt grasped how good he can be which is a shame. He is 25 in a couple of months so time is still on his side but I fear for him if he cant get into a team that is desperate for a right midfielder (and ended up getting one in on loan along with bringing Albrighton out from the cold). Also Rodgers is a good coach and has a record of improving players and Demerai has gone backwards. That said, he has done OK for us and I thank him for his efforts!!!
  3. Time to unleash Caglar!!!! I love Evans too but I cant wait to see Caglar and Fofana at centre back.
  4. Castagne hasnt recovered his form since his first injury which is a shame. Maybe he isnt fully there yet. Saying that, if all our players were fit I`d still play JJ at LB. For me, he looks much better as a left back and more natural.
  5. No need to rush him back! Hamza out in the summer on a permanent as he obviously wants to play. KDH taking his place in the first team squad. I reckon he is going to end up a better version of John McGinn at Villa. He looks really impressive.
  6. Net spend means little when you have the squad we have. Its not like we are going without!! This is the best squad Leicester City have ever had imo. Yes we need a striker but that has been the way for a while now. I think BR thinks we have enough with Kelechi, Ayoze and Vards. I have no doubt we will be making moves in the summer for Vards replacement but a lot will depend on where we end up. There is no point in adding to the current group if it will not be significantly improves so lets crack on as we have been and look forward to the summer,
  7. Barnes, Tielemans and Justin quality today, Ndidi wasnt far behind. The only worrying thing for me was Castangne looks very ineffective on the left and a shadow of the player he looks when he plays on the right. Lets hope thats more about match fitness though. It may be an option to switch Justin to the left as he always looks comfortable there. Overall, we competed well, they got some lucky breaks here and there and we well deserved the point.
  8. Do you folks think we will end up signing him on a permanent deal? I know its early days and he is still getting used to us and the league but personally I am not convinced. He has some lovely touches, fantastic tekkers and a fair shot on him. However, from what I have seen so far he is not a Leicester player. He loses discipline from right and cuts in and falls out of position and also he keeps hold of the ball far too long. The positives are he is 23, has over half a season to prove his worth and has shown glimpses of what he can do. Hopefully Rodgers can coach him into what we need but so far, the coins in the air for me.
  9. I love Kasper for what he has achieved with us and his loyalty. I also think he is a great shot stopper. However, his distribution and the fact that he doesn't leave his goal line for crosses is painful viewing lol. Still, we love him regardless LOL
  10. No Contest! Ndidi is World class in his position! He has improved so much with the ball which is why I rate him so highly. He also looks forward and not backwards these days. The final part of his importance is his strength aerially. He looks very good in the air when we play him in Central defence and we need to give Evans and Fofana some help in both boxes as we are poor, especially with Kasper glued to the goal line regardless of how close it gets to the 6 yard box. Mendy a very decent back-up and I am glad he signed another contract but he is no Ndidi!
  11. With two games to go.... We make it through, Celtic KO`ed out. Where's Chris Sutton??!!!
  12. If we have Castagne at left back and Fuchs as a back up, Riccardo at right back and Justin as his back up, I`d say we have enough to send him out on loan. We learned from Harvey Barnes that when someone has got talent, the best thing is to build their confidence and see what they can do. Harvey did amazingly. We also learned that Benkovic at this stage of his development was good enough for the SPL but average in the Championship and thats why Brendan plays 36 year old Wes or even 34yo Fuchs as a central defender. There is plenty of time for Thomas but its evident that he is not ready now.
  13. This has got to be the best Leicester City squad I have seen in my 48 years on planet earth! With injured players starting to filter back and so many of those standing in performing admirably, it does pose a quandary for Brendan on what his best team is. Tactically, I get the feeling that we have that 352/532 option in addition to the 451/433. I have no idea what our best 11 is but it will be interesting to read how you all feel we should go if every player was fit and in form. Kasper Fofana - Evans - Caglar Riccardo Castagne Tielmans - Ndidi Maddison Barnes Vardy I changed my mind about 7 times but I reckon I`d like to see that side in action.
  14. Another youngster who was signed with a first team place set years down the line but has had to play with injuries. I think he is at his best when he runs forward but seems reluctant to do it at the moment. Like Thomas he is still raw and needs to be nurtured but its great he can play in a few positions and give us cover. Its also nice to see that he has definitely improved from last season and will keep improving. Again, lets not expect miracles but he is another one with huge potential. BTW 10/10 for barging Traore to the floor and winning a goal kick!! That couldn't have been easy LOL
  15. He is so young but importantly, is probably 3 years ahead of schedule in his development regarding the first team. If we were Chelsea, this type of potential superkid would have been loaned out for 4 or 5 seasons but Luke has been thrown in at the deep end since Chilwells injury (and now Castagne and Riccardos). I wouldn't judge him too much at this stage of his development but I`d like to see him on loan in January when our defenders return. His first team inclusion will not have done him any harm mind but playing in the Championship will seem like a piece of piss after the players he has faced in the prem and Europe! Hopefully he can do a Reece James and come back as a high standard Prem player! Defo one for the future so lets not rush the lad!!!
  16. It was a tactical masterclass from BR which had me surprised a bit. With Barnes not starting in Europe and Madders being wheeled out I would have thought that they would have swapped before the start. Playing a back 5 again against a defensive team as another surprise but once we scored Wolves looked clueless and couldnt work us out. Yes we tired in the 2nd half but that is to be expected. With all these players still to return, it really is excited times ahead.
  17. I have been staying away from here as some of the nonsense in recent times has been embarrassing, especially regarding Brendan Rodgers being "under pressure". Fair play to BR for some of his tactics, performances and major victories this season. Also when we messed up at the end of last season and IMO that was 95% down to the lockdown and the craziness that went with it, most clubs would be in a hangover for the next campaign but our lot are flying despite the packed fixture list and endless injury list to key players. Lets hope his detractors dont resurface when we go on an inevitable drop in form (like most clubs). Keep it Going Brendan!!!!
  18. No one could have foreseen that we would even try to persuade this little midfield maestro to stay but credit to Rodgers for seeing something in him and persuading him to stay. He has been class.
  19. Fofana could have gone to umpteen clubs if they had the balls to take the chance. We did and we paid plenty. As a Leicester fan, I am comfortable in knowing that if one of the so called big clubs came calling, they would need to beat the Maguire fee to get him. For me, Fofana looks like the best central defender I have seen in his age group in my life. He just seems to have everything and will only improve. BTW, I was "shocked" when we persuaded Tielemans to sign, Riccardo, Evans and Castagne but they all came amidst crazy potential interest from mega clubs. We also kept some of the aforementioned along with Maddison, Vardy and Barnes in recent times despite expected interested, I'm completely happy in this "sell a mega player", buy 4 every season thanks!!!
  20. Im 48 Pal, so LOL along mate its 2020!! Im personally embarrassed that we have this type of fan base really. Im not surprised, as there will always be a percentage or two of idiots talking about our club like we are only as good as our last performance. Im guessing you are one of those who scream abuse at your own players when they give the ball away and try your best not to encourage? Im also guessing you have a Liverpool shirt on order because you like the kit design LOL?!! Having lived through the likes of David Pleats teams and some of the dross that followed, I still got in the car with my mates and went around the country to support the team. When MON bought us trophies, it didnt change my love for the club but made me smile a tad more. Its the same when we won the league for me. It just put a bigger smile on my face. This season I have seen us play better football, we are attracting better players and better managers than my living memory. For the first time, we now have a load of players that would walk into many of the top 6 mega rich clubs. I`ll judge them as my club on the joy they have given me as a supporter over the years and not the knee-jerk community like yourself who is attacking their own because we may finish as "low" as 5th in the league.
  21. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Man City. All clubs who have had indifferent form at parts of this season. Our form wasnt great during the dates you have listed but you need to judge the season as a whole and not in quarters, I`d say the same to you I said to a mate earlier today, would you have taken 5th in the league, Europe and the squad kicking on (Ndidi improving his passing, Caglar becoming one of the best defenders in the league, Vards maintaining his goal scoring form, Barnes improving etc ) as well as seeing many of our players becoming even more valuable assets along the way, something fundamental on clubs our size as we will always need to sell and bring on new players (similarly to someone like Dortmund) at the start of the season. If the honest answer is yes, then people need to be logical as to how things have gone and stop this hysteria and anger on us potentially missing out on Champions League. BTW, it aint over yet.
  22. Claude was not even liked by the players never mind the fans. He couldnt get the best out of them.Brendan has. Vardy is back to his best, even Iheanacho has improved under him which says plenty. Ndidi has improved his all round game too. Oh, Brendan has also got us into Europe and above two of the "Big 6" and Wolves. I`d say he has done better than Claude over the season.Anyone who thinks otherwise has an obvious agenda. Is Claude your uncle?
  23. I rest my case your honour!! Because you have stated its not because of lockdown, it must be the truth LOL!! Also LOL at "getting spanked by Man City and Liverpool" comment. It sounds like you have convinced yourself we should be mixing it with teams like this?!!! Incredible stuff. Have you not seen Evans, Ndidi and Vardy in recent games? I have seen more errors from Ndidi and Evans since lockdown that I have since they joined. Vardy cant do the running he normally does either. We cant do any tactical work as we are playing every three days. Youc an judge the season over 5, 10 or 20 games, I prefer to look at where we are when the season finishes. I would have taken 5th all day at the start of the season, especially when you told me that we would be finishing above Spurs, Arsenal and Wolves along the way.
  24. I know Chelsea are playing well as todays game goes, but they could potentially lose t both Europa League chasing Wolves and Liverpool. As unlikely as this is, there still is a scenario where a draw on the final match day will be enough too. Staying positive LOL
  25. You do realise we are Leicester City who have sold one of our better players every season since we won the title right? We are not as big as Arsenal and Spurs who continue to be below us in the table. We arent as big as Man Utd and Chelsea but we are almost on par with them when you look at league and cup performances this season. We are mixing it with teams that we shouldn't really be mixing it with because we have some exciting players, a top manager and recruitment largely goes well. Whats the problem here? Are you upset that we didnt continue the form for the whole season like it seems you think we are entitled to?!! Some in here are on a different type of crazy level. I think the sooner life gets back to normal the sooner these types of strange entitled posts get binned.
