  1. It wasn't his best performance today. We need leaders on the pitch, no so much with the verbal's as we don't seem to have many of them these days but with dominant aggressive controlled performances. Its essential that Ndidi, Evans,Cags and Vardy give us that throughout the pitch but today, Ndidi never led as he usually does. I'm sure we can all allow him a bad game!!!
  2. Its interesting hearing Brendan's post match interview. So this happened last weekend and they have all been training away from the group? Im with him for standing his ground on this as it shows that while he isn't a ranter a raver, they shouldn't take his positiveness and kindness for weakness.
  3. The good news is you could imagine our confidence would be totally shot if that 4th goal stood and we went on to lose 5, 6 or 7 zip. That was a strong possibility considering we started the 2nd half chasing a 0-2 scoreline and looked even worse! That momentum of "winning" the 2nd half 2-1, nearly snatching a point may well give us a bit of a belief, or at least enough to see us beat Southampton. My main gripe about today is that we didnt look angry at each other when we had no energy. Wilf pitter patter challenges for starters *he must have been hammered at half time as he was steaming in early in the 2nd half and was lucky not to be sent off), the organisation and aggression just wasnt there from the defence. At no stage did I get the feeling we were up for this. We can all speculate whether the team are shell shocked from the Man City battering (our worst performance of the season IMO), the amount of games this season finally catching up on us or even the dramatic events of those left out today threw the team but lets hope all that hard work of coping with more key injuries than most, all the great performances and current cup run don't all go to pot.
  4. The three centre backs is something IMO that should only ever be looked at if Cags is in at Amarteys defence. Not just for the fact that he is a better player, its just we lack aggression and look off balance with Amartey one of the three. I`d go as far as saying that if one is out, play a 4. I cant hammer Johnny Evans here as he has been great. Today wasnt his best game but you could say that for 9 or 10 of the rest!
  5. It was a very strange lethargic performance all round. Kelechi is on a different level at the moment and gets an 8, Albrighton had an impact so deserves a 7 but the rest were average or way below. It was one of the least effective games I have seen Ndidi play, Riccardo looked knackered bless him so was thrown in, Castagne really poor on the left but looks like a different player on the right and our persistence to play a 3 at the back should only ever happen if the main three are fit as Amartey gives us little with the ball.
  6. The players could have been fit and available but that doesnt mean they would have had an impact in the game. Either way, they have messed up big time but they are still our players and still have a chance to say sorry with performances and goals on the pitch. They havent done enough to warrant us cutting off our noses to spite our faces but dropping them today, dragging them through this mayhem is the reality check that may give us focus for the rest of the season. Thats the plan anyway!!!
  7. The next time we play in the league, we may not even be 4th. If we win in the semi and that swagger returns, I think we can do it. You wouldnt imagine losing to the Saints would mess our already fragile confidence. Caglar, Maddison and Perez will give us options while its a couple of weeks closer for Barnes to return to match fitness. Yes from me!
  8. He was poor today and has been for a while. I wont be jumping the gun on this as he is just the same as any other player who suffers a crisis of form, especially as he looked as sharp as ever earlier in the season. The coins in the air if a mixture of age and more likely his injury has meant he isn't going to reach the levels of earlier in the season again. He could easily get a couple of goals and find that Vardy confidence/arrogance/anger but at the moment, he almost looks like he knows he is cooked. I hope he joins Kelechi in scoring some goals in the last 7 games. We need him more than ever!
  9. The lack of energy we are playing with is what I was worried about when we played in the Europa League Thursday then weekend! We look shattered! We all know football is about confidence and we a few lads out of form but they need to sharpen up and quickly! Amartey off, Albrighton on and go to a 4 and a rollocking from Brendan at the lads to wake up. They almost seem like they are knackered or cant be bothered!!!! WAKE UP LADS!!!!!
  10. You have to laugh at todays alleged goings on! This is a bit of old school Leicester City here!!! Rice and Antonio out is a massive loss for them, we have a better first 1 than last time out. West Ham 1-3 City
  11. Hamza hardly plays, Ayoze is hit or miss and Praet IMO is a better option anyway, Madders hasnt played for a spells this season so wasnt 100% match fit anyway. Our bench may on the face of it look weaker due to all these youngsters but the way I`ll look at it is its their chance to shine if called upon. As for the 3 who have allegedly messed-up, no need to waste any more energy on them at this stage and concentrate on those who can help us today.
  12. I must be honest I am shocked he found form after being omitted from the starting line up for those three games Vards was out for having an op. I thought he would be sold in the summer when I saw Brendans line-ups over those three games. The old "False 9" with Perez must have been the biggest kick in the teeth for Kelechi but he seemed to stay positive, got in and has done amazingly.
  13. If Pep was in charge and Klopp was his assistant, we still get relegated with these!!! I'm still in recovery from leading Wolves 3-0 at HT in the prem season and got done 4-3. No. Pos. 15. Antonio almost certainly looks out with all these reports that have surfaced in recent hours. He will be a big miss for them. As for West Ham fans, as someone who lives in London you bump into all sorts. I think the only decent ones are Chelsea and Crystal Palace. The rest are as delusional as it gets. They also largely know fudge all about football.
  16. world-class /ˈwəːldklɑːs/ adjective (of a person, thing, or activity) of or among the best in the world. "a world-class player" I`d say we have Ndidi and Tielemans who fit that bracket. Being an old boring git, its all about the news and sport for me in between work and the missus giving me a list of to do`s. I watch a load of football and I cant see a better defensive midfielder in the world at the moment than Ndidi. His passing has improved under Rodgers but his ability of breaking play up, being decent in the box for set-pieces as well his day job for me makes him one of the best and world class in position. Tielemans is an old school high quality midfielder. The reason why I have labelled him as World class is because he is the type of player that has become a rarity, one that can pass, score, defend and tackle. These days central midfielders are ball winners or almost number 10s or forced into wider midfield positions. I cant think of 5 better all round central midfielders around hence putting him in. We have a few who could join him one day like Fofana, Cags, Barnes etc but they are a long way off. Vards was at that level and despite a real shortage of amazing strikers around the world these days, I wouldn't put him there now.
  17. Its the good old rehashed news from yesteryear. I didn't comment on this before but IMO footballers should embrace success and not look back with regret. We have seen 1000 players as "wonderkids" or the next big thing who dont develop, get injured or things take a turn for their worse in their personal life and they go off the radar. One minute they are £30m players and the next playing Championship level football. Mahrez should count his lucky stars we persisted and got him. I read articles where he didnt even want to come here in the first place, then we read he didnt want to stay!! He was amazing for us when we won the league, but for large spells after that he played like he didnt want to be here and was one of the reasons we were performing so badly. Im glad the club dug there heels in initially. He needs to remember his career could of gone a completely different way had we not persisted in him. Someone buy him a copy of Back to the future FFS!!!
  18. Rice out and maybe the subbed Antonio is great news for us. Whilst we don't need to worry about the others and concentrate on our own game, it is helpful when important players are out. I`d still fancy Fofana v Lingard and Cags v Antonio, but if Cags is missing, I`d be worried about Amartey against them down our right hand side.
  19. LOL, I dont think so mate. They have some amazing youngsters coming through but they cant even top there qualifying group at the moment. They are at a huge advantage as well as the Senior side doesnt play the younger lads that often these days, preferring to let them develop together with the u21s. I think I am right in saying that France didn't have one player 21 or under in the Senior squads over the last few Internationals. Mbappe at 22 I think was the youngest and no team leaves him out! Gareth Southgate has gone a different direction though as has loads of younger lads around the first team. Imagine our u21s with Foden, Hudson-Odoi, Reece-James, Bellingham, Sancho, Saka, Greenwood whilst the likes of Alexander-Arnold, Rice and Mount would have qualified too. I'm sure I have missed plenty out who would have been eligible at the start of qualifying. Id say our kids are better than theirs, ours are just blooded into the first team. The coin is in the air whether we get the best out of them.
  20. Callum Elder scored his first goal for Hull in what seems a MOM performance.
  21. Amazing he cant start for the French u-21s For me, he is better than the likes of Lenglet and Zouma who are in the main squad.
  22. I live in London so I`ll be delighted to here if its first come first served. I know there used to be (is) a London based Leicester fan club so hopefully they get some tickets too.
  23. I'm not sure if this one qualifies as she is largely Social media and an apparent Golf Pro, but I`d like to throw in Paige Spiranac this Easter Sunday.
  24. I remember how anti-London the club became when things started going wrong, labelling them the "cockney mafia". I like Newcastle as a place and the passion from the locals, you can tell how important there club is to them with the numbers they pull in. Im not defending Ashley by the way, we were lucky we didnt end up with someone like him, a UK born owner or overseas.
