A chorus of get yer t*ts out for the lads whenever a wpc walked in front of the kop

So, the PL changed the rules because we showed up gaping holes in them. They then used the changed rules to retrospectively charge us. Now they have appealed to get that punishment increased. This all smacks of a witch hunt. I suspect our counter appeal will be firstly that the change in rules should not be allowed to be applied retrospectively and secondly that the PL are bang out of order simply trying to make an example of us for showing g up their rules in the first place

Wouldn't be adverse to Mike Stowell coming back. Knows the club inside out, and seems to talk a lot of sense when he has guested on RL.

Realistic Managerial Replacements
urban fox replied to winteriscoming's topic in Leicester City Forum
If, and it's a big if, Pearson was well enough, and fancied it, we are supposedly looking for a new technical director. This is where his real skills lie, building a backroom staff of coaches, scouts, nutritionists, analysts, sports science etc. King, I think, with his direction could become a good head coach, in the shakey mould. Remember, it was under NPs encouragement at bristol that he started out on his coaching badges. someone who the players could respect for his history with the club -
Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
urban fox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
You can pick any number you like and say, "up to x points". Nobody knows jack sh*t. Why has there been no decision yet? Maybe because once again, we have had their pants down over a technicality on jurisdiction, or the fact they are trying to charge us retrospectively? Maybe we have played the "we were relegated due to their late action against everton" card as a defence/grounds to claim compensation. I suspect that the delay is because the pl/efl have had to go back to their lawyers to check that they will not leave themselves open to a counter claim for damages -
Yep that's how it will go i think. I would rather they put Doris the tea lady in charge than Russel Martin though
-
We shouldn't bring anyone in on a permanent contract until the new technical director is in place. Then sort out not just a new manager, but fitness coaches, performance analysts, sports physcologist and recruitment team etc. A clean sweep.

Should do this for a few of them. Dogs of war, clock tower and the vardy one at least

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)
urban fox replied to lcfc_forever's topic in Transfer Talk
Even if the fee is only £26m, that's a £10m profit over his book value, plus whatever add-ons and/or future sell on fee. With the other sales so far that is around the £55-60m book profit for the window plus something in the region of £15-20m off the wage bill. -

This. Throwing a tantrum benefits no-one. The player gets a bad rep, the club potentially lose money. psr being the biggest block to such moves, in the past clubs could take the hit to get rid of a bad apple and save on wages. However, if a move doesn't materialise, knuckle down, be professional and show potential suitors what they could be getting. Player gets their move next window and the clubs get their profit on the sale. Everyone is happy. -
Don't disagree, but, if they are going to sulk and not perform then they don't get picked. Its time clubs stood up to these prima Donna's and took back control. If what is being reported is true (although I do take a lot of it with a pinch of salt yet nothing from his camp to deny it) then it's self destructive and other clubs will think twice about paying good money for them.

This. Get him in, loan with obligation/option, bin BEK into the u23s if he wants to be a mardy a*se. See how that helps his international career. It's what we should have done with tielemans.

Surely a club can withhold their pay if they refuse to play. You do not get paid if you are on strike. In any transfer, it the registration that clubs are buying not the person. I know bosman ruling preclude clubs from retain registrations at the end of contracts, but if it were a breach of contract surely there would be some legal redress in this regard -

Sick of these players crying that clubs are pricing them out of moves. They, or at least their agents, hold out for the highest price when they sign to get their extra signing on fees and commissions, then expect clubs to roll over and make a loss when they don't like where they are. It's not just the actual fee paid either, clubs are expected to find them houses, get them deals on new cars and even send someone round to their gaff when they have a leaking tap etc. They are spoilt brats and this type of behaviour, if true, is only going to put buying clubs off. I could understand it if there was a reasonable concrete offer on the table for the lad, but from what I have seen that isn't the case. Beginning to think palace pulled out because the deal was "becoming too difficult" not on our part but his, and his agents, attitudes. -
No, but knowing some of our lot wouldn't be surprised if it happens . Plenty of keyboard warriors putting the knife in. My point was simply that there is plenty who are quick to accuse him (and others) of bad attitude, not caring etc. when there could be anything going on away from the workplace. I have no idea if he is genuinely a bad apple or not, and he may be. It just annoys me when people jump to conclusions when they have absolutely no idea what a person is really like
-
People seem to forget that footballers are also human. They can have the same problems and issues in their private lives as anyone else. Before slagging them off for perceived bad attitude etc, does anyone stop to think that they could be dealing with family illnesses, or similar stresses outside of their working lives? Not saying this is necessarily the case with winks, but booing and bad mouthing certainly ain't going to help his mental health.

If the original release clause was £30m, and palace had reputedly made a tentative bid of £32m, then if what Dorset is saying is true re psr, then it's £35m or they can do one. -
Maybe, and i know this is probably bllox, Rudkin has actually taken charge rather than going along with what previous managers wanted. Rodgers didn't want to sell anyone and they left for nothing, Enzo got his choices who downed tools when he left, Cooper wanted "experience' and got shit in. Didn't trust RVN. Maybe, just Maybe, he has had enough, grown a pair, and is clearing the decks and going to try rebuilding us.

Every player has his price. As much as we would all be disappointed if he were to be sold, if somebody offers silly money (maguire, mahrez , Chilwell fofana etc) then he goes and good luck to him. Most on here have been saying we need to return to our old model of selling one or two big assets a year and reinvesting in the next crop of potential, yet now are moaning as soon as there is a rumour that we might sell. The problems come, not when letting talent go, but when the money is either not re-invested, or the gambles don't pay off.

James Justin (signed for Leeds, official. 10m.)
urban fox replied to SouthStandUpperTier's topic in Transfer Talk
He played because, unless there is a firm offer on the table, not just journalists speculation, he is being paid by us to play. The speculation comes to nothing we have left him out for no reason. If we are trying to sell then it is a shop window exercise -
Sky showing the away end with one Billy no mates in it.

When we were a top end stepping stone to the big clubs, sell ons were not really an issue when you are selling a player at their prime. Now we are the next tier down, sell ons are more likely to be included as players are going to clubs like we used to be, and, especially with the young ones who's values could increase.
-
Another club could offer twice the transfer fee, but there is no guarantee the player will go there. We have seen this before. Player x states publicly they are only interested in going to club y. Club y then lowball their offer to the selling club ( whilst at the same time giving the player a lucrative signing on fee). The player gets more, but the selling club end up with less, despite having several better offers. The power is always with the player in these situations, and they are always going to go where they will get the best personal terms. It is wide open to dodgy deals but that is the world we live in these days. Not saying that Wilf would get involved in anything shady, but he is perfectly entitled to wait and weigh up which options would be better for career and family.
-
Probably not. He is director and salaried employee. He will have a contract of employment but it will not be a fixed term, same as any other full time member of staff.
