Very clever tactics by Pearson... don't play our 10 million pound goal machine so everyone will think he's crap so no one will buy him for next season.... I like it...

Which is why even the best penalty takers like Shearers are down at 80-85%?

Which is why Shearer cannot be classed as ' even the best penalty taker ' if his conversion rate is 80 - 85%... He scored 56 out of the 67 he took in his career.

The best are up in the 90s. For example;

D Murphy 95%

J Beattie 94%

J F Hasselbaink 93%

T Henry 92%

F Lampard 91%

T Sheringham 90%

As great a goal scorer shearer was, he was not a great penalty taker missing 11 of his 67 penalties.

I just got in. It's 1-1. What have I missed? Have we played well?

Just watch the highlights of pretty much very game so far this season to know how its gone...

Cambiasso great goal, shite penalty from Nuge, piss poor defending from James and Schlupp for their goal.

We need to seriously up our tempo second half and do something about Song, he has so much space it's embarrassing and is running their show, shake the f^ckers up Pearson!!!!

Even in the context of this season I'm gobsmacked that we tried to park the bus after 25 minutes at 1-0 up playing at home to an average team. This team is seriously lacking self-belief. It's going to be a big job to turn this around even next season.

He will. Eventually. His first seaon in the prem playing alongside lesser standard players.... Just imagine what he'd do with players who could pass to him properly and get on the end of his balls... Top 4 team? maybe. top 8? definitely

There aren't any players who are 9foot 9 and faster than usain bolt playing football so I doubt a team would have a player to get on the end of his crosses I'm afraid.

He's a flair player so he gets the crowd going but other than that his pretty wank I'm afraid.

No composure, goal threat, wide man end product, blistering pace, strength, shooting, crossing etc... All he can do is take a man on and then run into trouble and struggle to play a simple pass.

Doubt he will be top 4 mate.

He's a decent player for the championship though and I guess with experience he could become bottom half premiership standard...

I'm afraid Cambiasso and James are getting murdered in midfield. They are too slow to play together with 2 wide men.

Come on you can't be pissed off about that.  Had Nugent scored (and let's face it, given his conversion rate the past couple of years most fans would have wanted him to take it) we'd have been 2-0 up and people wouldn't even remember Kramaric was on the bench.

So few players have a conversion rate of 90%+, the average since 1992 (not including this season) is 76%. You're utterly barmy if you think that it should be 90% as a minimum.

Honestly think now a point would be healthy IF Sunderland lose tomorrow. 6 points away with 8 games to go is completely do-able, but starting to believe it won't be Sunderland we'll have to catch by the end of the season. However lets say theoretically QPR and Burnley go down, if we draw and they lose 6 points off, with them still to play is reason to be upbeat.

But he didnt score did he?

Cambiasso a level above. Schlupp, Mahrez and James a liability this half. Albrighton had to give James a bollocking. He is like the scarecrow. He has no brain

What is this cambiasso wankfest.

He socred a great goal - but it would have hit Vardy on the ars if he hadn't been very lively, other than that he's played 1 or maybe 2 good balls. He's played 3 or 4 terrible balls. Lost the ball a few times and been left for dead so many times.

He's a luxury that we can't carry I'm afraid.
