Union FS tifo display

Recommended Posts

Now I know this will never happen because it appears not everyone turns up on time/holds it up at the right time/holds it the right way round, but with two colour sided foils you could create some fantastic multi displays.

It's just knowing when to hold which side up. Never going to work!

Anything is possible if you go about it the right way. These kind of choreographys can be achieved without two sided foil, and if done correctly look loads better.

Can see what the "C" in C man stands for, your post kind of sums up state of ungrateful selfish gimmie gimmie gimmie attitude of some of our fans, how`s your T shirts, scarves, free beer, subsidised ticket prices, vouchers for the shop, vouchers for away refreshments, free breakfasts doing "C"

So because you dont agree with him you imply he is a ****?

At this point in time I think the owners are more than covering the cost of those items. Don't get me wrong I do appreciate these things. But they will be getting millions from global brand free advertising that every other company or club owner would dream of. Buy a lowly humble club, make headlines with the great escape and then thrust the underdog to the top of the EPL in some sort of football movie fiction. They are in marketing heaven.

He also stated he appreciated what the owners have done but felt that a tifo was a bit too much even in a world where other club owners are ruthless to the point of being cvnts.

Just my polite thought.

Just seen your edit so edited your quote to the great bits big man. ;)

That would be the only worry is if we get it wrong. I suppose if it was simple enough as in the design aspect then it would work, but there's always that issue of it going wrong.

Don't see too much wrong with saying 'thanks' to our owners personally!!!

I say thanks when someone holds a door open for me. These lot have taken us from League 1 to the top of the prem, wiped our debts and buy us beer every season. Am I just too polite?!

Just my opinion but it's a very boring idea if you ask me. I think our owners are great but not tifo material.

A minor point but they took over after our first season back in the championship.

Just to be clear, we are talking about "tifo," which is a pretentious term for adult men doing arts and crafts, right?

The club's owners are probably worth a small public show of thanks.

Tfo is taken from the Italian word verb "tifare" which means "to support" so it's not just a pretentious term

Anyway I was only stating what I thought of the idea and I'd say it to anyone in the group if they came up with an idea I thought was weak. Whether they'd take any notice is another thing.

As for me being ungrateful I can assure you I'm not in the slightest. We've great owners as I stated but my memories of LCFC and this city in general go back many years not just last the last couple, albeit a very good couple of years. As for me being called a tw@t what's that all about lol. Seriously some people need to grow up.

"Tifare," like "tifoso," "tifo," etc., is derived from the Italian word tifo, which means "typhus." The word "tifoso" (originally "typhoid patient") to refer to a dedicated fan comes from a figure of speech that his support consumes him so much, that it's like he has a disease. And from there, the words "tifare" and "tifo" came.

And yes, I find it awfully pretentious when the word is used as a loanword in English, especially when one is really just talking about one small banner.

Well done but as it's Italian we're sort of both right, but chill man it's only a word.
