A little disappointed in Mahrez tonight. Doesn't seem to do the doggy work that Vardy does, and as his replacement we missed that. Also guilty of letting Ramirez go for their 3rd, and didn't show enough commitment for the cause. Is he moody cus he's not played much lately? I dunno, just didn't give it much of a go for me.

good performance by many players Chelsea came out really fired up in the 2nd half . injuries had a big part to play and meant we had no options left in the second half which was a shame.

De Laet I though had a really good game coming on, but also Cambo, Drinky and Vardy were all excellent. I think it looks positive for the run in, just hope Vardy and Huth are fit.

Anyone using that as a barometer for the Newcastle game is insane. Newcastle are playing woeful football and have a clueless manager, nothing really to play for and players that don't care. Big difference.

I would go as far as saying that second half performance from Chelsea is the best ever seen at the king power.

I'd agree with you.

It almost reminded me of the Chelsea game in 96, going in at half time one up but they just turned it on in the 2nd half.

Proud over the boys but as many said it was a game of two halves. When Chelsea turns it up the difference in quality is to big.

Willian is pure worldclass.

Game of two halves.

Mourinho changed it up at half time and again showed how exceptional he is tactically.

First half we were brilliant.

Second half, it was like men v boys.

The injury to Huth is VERY worrying. He's crucial.

DeLaet etc are not in the same league (metaphorically) as Huth.

I thought De Laet was outstanding tonight. Huth would not have played a better game. Was and Morgan (latter especially) are not as good as Huth though, that's true.

Mahrez comes on when all the others are knackered and Chelseas tails are up. I hardly remember the ball being in Chelseas half since he came on.

But why even compare him to Vardy? Hardly any striker in the league works as hard and chases as much as Vardy has done recently.

I was disappointed by them - boring and a bunch of dirty cheats. When they go for it, good team but Christ they're a bunch of dull cowards

You don't half talk some utter guff..

Deserved champions. They're the best in England by a mile and I expect them to do better in Europe next season.

As for thinking this is the start of our doom, Newcastle will present a very different kind of game on Saturday. You don't lose seven on the spin by playing well any more than you fluke four wins on the bounce; make no mistake, we'll have the more momentum going into Saturday's game.

We just have to hope Pearson's Sports Science geniuses and the physios earn their corn over the next few days.

I thought the ref let a lot of small fouls from Cambiasso, James and De Laet go throughout.

You'd be the expert - when they attacked they looked good, but they seemed so hesitant to get forward, in a free game against one of the worst defences in the league. Not to mention how easily they went down or the little kicks they were giving out.

Think we still have a huge task ahead of us. If Sunderland win their extra game it's out of our hands again. I have to admit I'm concerned by how tired we looked. I will feel very relieved if we beat Newcastle.

No - it will still be in our hands as we still have to play them. They have two nightmare fixtures to finish with, as well.

Jose Mourinho - "The way we played in the second half, against probably the best team we have played in the last month, was fantastic." lol

His digs at Arsenal and Man Utd are amusing

Still wouldn't want him in my team. Loathsome individual on every level.

lol

Mourinho is an exceptional football manager and Terry is the best English defender. IMO.

Why do we have a thread where we are basically rimming Chelsea?

Fvck off.

Stop the petulance. Nobody is 'rimming'.
