Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 I thought De Laet was outstanding tonight. Huth would not have played a better game. Was and Morgan (latter especially) are not as good as Huth though, that's true. Mahrez comes on when all the others are knackered and Chelseas tails are up. I hardly remember the ball being in Chelseas half since he came on. But why even compare him to Vardy? Hardly any striker in the league works as hard and chases as much as Vardy has done recently. Not really compering him like for like, because they're different, clearly. I was just questioning his application. He never had much opportunity on the ball, and that's not his fault, but if you get the opportunity to watch him then just ask yourself if you think he was putting in maximum effort? I'm not digging him out, he's a different type of player Vardy, but our recent form has been based on team play and all out effort. He didn't display that in his cameo tonight.
RowlattsFox Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Think it's harsh to criticise Mahrez, was probably the wrong player to come on.
Guest Bilo Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 The anti Terry stuff reminds of the anti Ashley Cole stuff from a few years ago. It's basically a case of people blinded to the man's talent by the fact he's an absolute cvnt. An obscenely talented cvnt is still obscenely talented.
thegaffa Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 I thought that Morgan was poor and got bossed by an aged drogba, terry wasn't marked at all for his goal and mahrez didn't track ramires.... And for me that's all that was between the two sides.. It was just poor decision making on a few occasions. Unlucky boys and let's go again against Newcastle
TrentFox Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Sticks in my throat to say it, but Terry was immense.

He's looked like this for quite a while now. Just drops his shoulders when he loses the ball rather than chasing it back. Also lot's of lazy, half hearted wayward passes. Just doesn't look as arsed as he should to me.
justfoxes Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 One hell of a defender though. He still is one smug racist little tool who on the post match interview was pouting his mouth like someone had put their thumb up his arse the tosses !!
ScouseFox Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 They were very good second half. We were good enough first half but not once they ramped it up. Shame but was always going to be the case if they fully turned up. First goal was fully avoidable and maybe if we didn't concede it it would've been different. Ifs and buts tho.
Poiseuille Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Though Drinkwater was poor today. Did well for the goal, but otherwise looked a bit off the pace and 'rusty'. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
stingray Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 well played chelsea, different class second half. missed the entire first half but sounds like we were excellent
Stevosevic Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Terry didn't even give it the big'un when he scored, just celebrated with his team mates. We would all love him in our team
fuchsntf Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Still wouldn't want him in my team. Loathsome individual on every level. As long as he didnt try it on with my wife, or have a go at our local taxi driver, would have loved him in our backline .
HighPeakFox Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Jose Mourinho - "The way we played in the second half, against probably the best team we have played in the last month, was fantastic." His digs at Arsenal and Man Utd are amusing You've made a small but crucial misquote
ImBlue Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Best team in the league, no doubt, but can see why they come up short in europe. This league just isn't what it once was..
Izzy Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 JOHN TERRY IS A SMUG LITTLE C***T THO I JUST CANNOT STAND THE LITTLE DWEEB !! Now will you get off the fence and tell us what you REALLY think
shen Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 You've made a small but crucial misquote Have I? I just copy-pasted from the Beeb's webpage. I didn't get to see the interview in its full length here on Danish TV.
Livid Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 They played like champions in the second half. Every time Willian came up against Konch I cringed. We gave it a go and am proud of them.
BlueSi13 Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Best team in England by a long way, but nothing special IMO. If that team can win the Premier League at such a canter then for me it kind of sums up the leagues breathtaking decline over the past five years.
Callabinho Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 We were never going to get anything from the game. We have to keep going, two wins will do it for me! Come on lads.

I'm not digging him out, he's a different type of player Vardy, but our recent form has been based on team play and all out effort. He didn't display that in his cameo tonight. He's never looked like a player that will bust a lung like Vardy. Does this mean any player that doesn't automatically hasn't given 100 %? You do compare him to Vardy because he was put in the same position as Vardy, except Ulloa was nowhere near him to offer support and Albrighton and Konchesky never crossed the halfway line for the final 15 minutes. So I just don't see how you can draw any real conclusions on tonight's cameo. I will give you that he has looked off the boil in general since returning from the AFCON though.
ScouseFox Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 can't believe people are only just realising how far ahead of anyone else defensively jt is though. remember when people were genuinely celebrating his retirement from england lol best defender we've had in my lifetime and even now still the best we have by an absolute distance.
nnfox Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 So that's Chelsea out of the way. Since the revival started against West Ham, I always considered the Chelsea fixture as a bit of an elephant in the room. Despite confidence soaring and 4 wins on the spin, this game was always going to be extremely difficult. It's out of the way now though, we have literally nobody left to fear in our run in. Onwards and upwards.
