One Place Left, 5 teams in it

Recommended Posts

Bunley and QPR are down, it will take a miracle for them now.

So, we have one place left, and one out of these 5 teams will take t:

Newcastle

Sunderland

Leicester

Villa

Hull

Who do you think will go down and why?

I'll say Hull, given their run-in, or Newcastle, given how abject they are.

One things for sure, we are not safe at all yet!

I just don't know anymore. Was sure 34 points would be enough a few weeks back. Only way we can guarantee safety is to win all of our remaining games.

Will 37 even be enough now? If our 3 points come from the Sunderland game I'd hazard a guess at yes, as they'd need to win their other 2 and us to lose them to finish above them. A point could well be enough for us, Newcastle just don't look interested, 8 in a row, why not 11? They've no fight or desire in them.

So annoying. Our best win of the season and we're no better off than we were.

But more importantly not worse off than we were.

Think West Brom are in the mix too.

37 pts may not be enough.

Newcastle must be bricking it - their manager must be sacked today/tomorrow.

We will be fine. One more win or draw. No way Newcastle will get any points and Sunderland will struggle.

People said the same about Hull and Sunderland.

We need much more than 1 draw, 1 win won't be enough either.

Newcastle were awful today, but they probably have the easiest run in, Hull have the toughest run in, they have Burnley next week who know it is win or best, and Arsenal, Spurs and Man United.

Villa seem to be coming good and aren't playing anyone with anything to play for, Burnley will probably be down by the time they play them on the final day, so they are safe.

Hopefully Southampton will be as accommodating next week as they were today, Ward-Prowse suspended and they are in danger of getting in to the Europa league if they aren't careful.

It all comes down to Leicester Sunderland, I know their game in hand isn't easy, but stranger things have happened, we just need to keep winning and we'll be fine, QPR will be relegated before we play them, if we lose to them on the last day of the season at home, then we will only have ourselves to blame.

We are though. Level on points with Hull, one point of Newcastle and Villa. West Brom might be back in it if they lose tonight. Yes it's annoying that we are still 1 point clear but at least we have dragged more teams into the mix. I really don't know who is going to go down. Said a few weeks back it would be Hull, QPR and Burnley and I think I will stick with that.

You probably want West Brom to get beat tonight so that they dont go up to Newcastle next week with nothing to play for.  Because if they won today, 40 is safe no question.

Ideally we need Arsenal to give Hull a hiding as well so that we switch places without playing.

I think we are going to need 1 more win from 3.  Dont care where it comes from.

Glass half empty aren't you, we are on equal points with Hull again, and if they get tonked by Arsenal we will go ahead of them, more importantly though we are only 1 point behind Newcastle who look like they have given up, I can see them being relegated they were so bad today.

Even more important, think of what the table would have looked like had we lost today or drawn!

We're better off through GD.
