lc4lcfc Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Newcastle are 11's with betfred, worth a tenner? I dont gamble but that is tempting even for me!
Leicester Lass Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 sunderland couldnt score in open play....you would have to say that hey won't be looking forward to playing us while we're in this moodNeither did we yesterday. Just saying.
roblcfc84 Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 A lot hinges on Arsenal tomorrow, if Hull lose I can see them maybe getting one more point. Sunderland are very poor, yesterday they didn't boss Southampton just had a bit of luck. Newcastle will be looking to the West Ham game to get the points they need. I expect us to get a point next week - it's an advantage to have Sunderland go first. As long as we don't lose to Sunderland we will be ok. IF Newcastle lose next week I genuinely think they will unravel even more. The club is imploding. Their survival depends on what they do in the next few days. Bring in McLaren and that might just give them enough to get over the line. Results really went against us yesterday but those around us have not shown that they can put a run together, unlike us. So many permutations, if Sunderland lose against Everton and we get anything then the week after will suit our style - if they need to come out and play the openness of the game will suit us more than them.

Do you not think hull will beat burnley? I do,so that's 3.
katieakita Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Serves me right for wanting Scum Utd to beat WBA so lets hope they get something at Newcastle. There is though 5 teams in it and Arsenal can put Hull right back in it Monday night. Goal difference should count as an extra point for us and I think we can all understand the importance of not losing at Sunderland, we will at least know where we stand with them playing first next weekend, you would expect Villa to get something at home to West Ham next week and i suppose we can home Burnley get something at Hull. Leicester never do simple that's just how it is but we have the chance to really make a statement next weekend against Southampton. Other results could have gone better for us but our win put the GD between us and Sunderland and Villa more in our advantage. We started 3pts behind Hull with a -5 GD on them now we are level with a -2 GD, also can Newcastle fall any lower they are a shambles, on paper they have easier games but on their recent form I wouldn't take them to beat an egg. Anyway at least for the next day or so I can run around shouting up the Arse.
katieakita Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Do you not think hull will beat burnley? I do,so that's 3. Gravel throat loves us because we are market leaders so can see them getting something their, will not be enough to keep them up but they lose next week and they are down for sure.
Finn Claw II Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Who knows but any of this 5 could easily lose the next 3 (or 4) games. Personally I reckon it'll be Newcastle or Sunderland but it's going to go down to the last game for a few teams. We seem to be handling this pressure
HighPeakFox Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 It's worth reminding ourselves that LCFC were supposedly a team that would be exhausted yesterday (according to many a doom-monger) and had I not known about the midweek match, I'd have said they looked fresh, hungry and full of power. More to the point, anything but a relegation threatened team, and mentally very strong too. If LCFC some how contrive to get relegated, I'll be amazed and very distressed.

The Sunderland game is the one. I think we'll beat or draw to Southampton, and beat QPR. Sunderland away, for me, is the decider.
elvis f kennedy Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 I think it's between us Newcastle and Sunderland.being kind to Newcastle I see them picking up 3 more points so they ll be on 38.being unkind on us I see us getting 3 draws so we will have 37 and being kind to Sunderland I see them picking up 4 more points.so that's 37 but we are better off goal difference wise. Hope it doesn't come down to that, but avoid defeat at Sunderland and pick up 3 more points we should be ok.fingers toes and even bollocks crossed.
Tielemans63 Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 I think it'll be Newcastle on the last day taking that last spot.
fleckneymike Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Can everyone else please stop winning. This is killing me.
katieakita Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Newcastle to go down unluckily conceding 8 own goals in the last 3 matches
Raj Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Can everyone else please stop winning. This is killing me. Apart from City of course!!!
roblcfc84 Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Do you not think hull will beat burnley? I do,so that's 3. I honestly do not, the two wins they have had recently were against sides who at that time were beatable. Liverpool are struggling desperately for goals of late, scoring half as many as last season and palace have achieved their goal of survival, so naturally would lie more relaxed and arguably complacent. Burnley present a totally different challenge and will be extremely stubborn. Given their fixtures after the burnley game the pressure on them will be immense. Burnley literally have to win, albeit we all know its over for them.
Guest Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 I fancy Burnley to do Hull. But then again I didn't think they'd get a point from their last 2 games either.

Finn Claw II Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 While it has nothing to do with what happens on the ptich. The premier league doesn't or shouldn't want the 3 promoted teams to go back down (2 quite limply). They need to maintain the facade that the 'gulf' is bridgeable. The more this happens, the more pressure their is to be more redistributative. If I was Richard Scudamore I'd want us to stay up.
Babylon Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Can't predict any results now, too many teams on holiday to rely on others. We need to win all three.

harpendenfox Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 As an aside, having supported City since 1973, I can't really remember a period quite as exciting as this last month. I know, there were great times under MON, but just a few weeks ago we were dead and buried. Now we are pretty much the form team of the Premiership, and the atmosphere inside our ground is pretty much the envy of the country. Like everyone I fear it might all go pear shaped, but right now, this is simply superb
foxes_rule1978 Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Newcastle will not get another point, they were truly terrible yesterday and it is somewhat disappointing we didn't win by 6 or 7 their manager is even coming out and saying his team aren't playing for him and his players are getting themselves sent off on purpose... crazy
Raw Dykes Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Newcastle will not get another point, they were truly terrible yesterday and it is somewhat disappointing we didn't win by 6 or 7 their manager is even coming out and saying his team aren't playing for him and his players are getting themselves sent off on purpose... crazy I worry that they might change the manager before the end of the season. If they don't, then I agree - they're in a real mess, but if he leaves, then I'm sure they'll get a result or two.
yorksfox Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 You must expect all teams threatened by relegation, ourselves included, to go all out for wins. Nobody will do LCFC any favours, we must win our next 3 games or expect the worst. That said, 40 points will surely be enough, so two more wins. Despite our recent run we have only performed for 3 months out of a 9 month season. Those dreadful months from Ocober through to late March is where we may still have left ourselves relying on others to slip up and drop points. We have the momentum, if only we'd had in those home games against Burnley, West Brom, Sunderland, Palace, Hull and Stoke (3 points out of a possible 18). Still, it's in our hands, surely we can do it!
