katieakita Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Lose today and WBA are in, it away at Newcastle next week.
Guest Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 QPR will be mathematically relegated by the final day, we will beat them to stay up. They'll be playing for pleasure - no pressure.
Guest glasgowfox Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 No 2!!! Do your maths doh...we won by 3 Sunderland by 1.....its not that hard surely???
katieakita Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 WBA last 4 fixtures, Man Utd away, Newcastle away, Chelsea home, Arsenal away.
Jobyfox Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 We're better off through GD. But much better off than we could have been. Imagine if we'd lost and Burnley and QPR had won.
Steven Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 No 2!!! Do your maths doh...we won by 3 Sunderland by 1.....its not that hard surely??? Er no. Spurious logic. We are three goals better off v Hull, 2 better off v Aston Villa and 3 goals better off v Newcastle, etc.
desertfox2 Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 So annoying. Our best win of the season and we're no better off than we were. Not really. It's looking more and more likely that newcastle probably won't get another point we gained 3 on them. The down side is it looks like it may go to the last game of the season having said that QPR will probably be down already. Before today's game burnley/qpr/newcastle for the 3 to go down was 33/1!
bovril Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 We need to ban the following words / phrases: "run in" "in [possessive adjective] hands" " [x] amount of points should do it" For the sake of the sanity of foxestalkers everywhere.
Narborough_fox Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Sunderland have the toughest run-in. They have to play Everton, Arsenal and Chelsea away alongside their game against us. If we can beat them then I think we'll pretty much be safe because with GD they'd need to make up 5 points in 3 games. All we can do though is make sure we keep picking up results and the rest will take care of itself.
Guest Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 I expect the "better" teams to win when they play at home - up for their fans - that should help us over these last few weeks.
NewquayFox Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Burnley & QPR are down, if we avoid defeat at Sunderland and win one of the other two were safe, i think it will be Hull (horrible run in) or Newcastle (horrible crap team) for the drop. Up the City.....
Moonstomp Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 4 points could be enough .... But we need to get 1 of them as a minimum away to Sunderland ...if they get 3 points against us then I don't think 4 will do it but next weekend will be so much clearer I reckon
RedSoxUK Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Think West Brom v Newcastle next week will decide a lot of things, as long as it doesn't end in a draw / obviously we'd rather West Brom win. But with a very very tough few games left West Brom could also be dead. We could easily lose to Sunderland, Hull beat Everton, Newcastle beat West Brom and they're in the thick if it. Very tight relegation battle.
desertfox2 Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Newcastle were awful today, but they probably have the easiest run in, Hull have the toughest run in, they have Burnley next week who know it is win or best, and Arsenal, Spurs and Man United. Villa seem to be coming good and aren't playing anyone with anything to play for, Burnley will probably be down by the time they play them on the final day, so they are safe. Hopefully Southampton will be as accommodating next week as they were today, Ward-Prowse suspended and they are in danger of getting in to the Europa league if they aren't careful. It all comes down to Leicester Sunderland, I know their game in hand isn't easy, but stranger things have happened, we just need to keep winning and we'll be fine, QPR will be relegated before we play them, if we lose to them on the last day of the season at home, then we will only have ourselves to blame. I don't think it matters who they play at the moment. They were worse than most championship sides today. 2 suspensions as well. I just hope Ashley doesn't sack Carver, that would throw a spanner in the works.
Guest glasgowfox Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Er no. Spurious logic. We are three goals better off v Hull, 2 better off v Aston Villa and 3 goals better off v Newcastle, etc.. This is quite painful...the quote was we are only 1 point better off....obviously referring to Sunderland!! Enjoy school on Monday and don't keep missing your maths lessons
Captain... Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Er no. Spurious logic. We are three goals better off v Hull, 2 better off v Aston Villa and 3 goals better off v Newcastle, etc. 6 goals better off than Newcastle.
sly1 Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 37 points should do it 4 more points celebrate at Sunderland c, mon leicester boys
smudger63 Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Sunderland play at Everton next saturday with a dinnertime kick off, so a win for them may well see us kick off our game in the bottom three, which would be a real blow given the amount of effort we`ve put in, to try and drag our selves to safety. Of course the flip side is, a defeat for Sunderland in the early kick off, would be a massive boost for us at kick off time. One things for sure, if we do manage to survive this season, i hope we make sure we don`t have to go through this again next season, i don`t think it`s good for my health!
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Arsenal beat Hull by a few goals on mon then we will go above Hull.
Webbo Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 We are though. Level on points with Hull, one point of Newcastle and Villa. West Brom might be back in it if they lose tonight. Yes it's annoying that we are still 1 point clear but at least we have dragged more teams into the mix. I really don't know who is going to go down. Said a few weeks back it would be Hull, QPR and Burnley and I think I will stick with that. Villa won today.
katieakita Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Oh the joys of following Leicester. Get the atmosphere right at the KP and it can make all the difference, would like to see us outside the bottom 3 before the last game not good for the old ticker
Izzy Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 One things for sure. It will all go down to the last game of the season - as we always knew it would!
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Burnley will be difficult for Hull next week as they will be relegated if they don't win.
