The one thing that has really annoyed me during this season is the way media reporters have constantly used the prefix 'bottom-of-the-table' when referring to the Foxes as 'Bottom-of-the-table Leicester City'. The fact that we are no longer 'bottom-of-the-table' must now be quite galling.

If it would keep us both safe (sadly it won't) we could always agree on a West Germany -v- Austria style draw, with the ball being kicked about in defence for 90 mins.

Good luck (but not against us)

:)

I think it is going to be end to end you have alot more pace in the team than us which is dangerous but it could go either way really.

I live in Newcastle and trust me, I want the Mags to go down so bad!

Well something has to happen for Ashley to take notice, I can't see the protests doing much good and he will only listen when he is hit in the pocket unfortunately.

Sunderland are going to get rekt m8

Wrecked you mean? Anything is possible on the day, both teams fighting.

I respect the fact you made an account on our forum to post this topic. We all know we deserve to stay up too, but this relegation battle still isn't over. Unfortunately for you, you're club will be next to face us in good form. I would like you to stay up personally, but right now, your club is in the way of us having premiership football next season. When this is resolved, i wish your lads the best of luck and hopefully meet next season.

Kind Regards

A Leicester City willy puller x

I know the season is not over, we might still go down and if we did I'd still agree with you deserving to stay up on your form recently. I think it will be Hull that goes down as they have Spurs and Man Utd, they need to win at least 1 of those and for either of us to lose our games. I guess time will tell.

Let's be frank if we go on to achieve survival what we would of done this year far surpasses what Sunderland did last year.

Debatable, we were also dead and buried and we went on to beat top teams at the right time when we needed the points, West Brom were the only team to get out of trouble like we did and as it stands Sunderland take that.

I want sunderland religated ....long over due , Ellis short is a megalomaniac with very questionable business practices , and then there is the certain player facing disgusting charges ....and still in squad , add to that your current manager is a horrid man , and you lot treated Martin o neill terribly , a legend in this city ....I pray we batter sunderland and stay safe , and if you lot got sent down that would be a cherry on top.

I agree on your point of Ellis Short, he has placed his trust in the wrong people and bought bad buys over the years. We don't know the evidence against Johnson, they obviously have enough evidence to charge him but we don't know the full story. I'd be very careful what you wish for  ;)

Sunderland have had 2 jammy wins recently but still look a very poor side.. On Saturday they'll be playing a team bang in form, with better players in EVERY position.. Cream always rises to the top... 3-0 Foxes!!

Yes I agree, we have had some luck recently which was long overdue. Our team is not linking up together as well as we should be and lacking pace in the team but when we are on our game we play well going forward. On paper we have a team to be further up the table from where we are, we have had alot of draws this season and had we sorted our striker position out earlier (Altidore) we would not be in this position now.

Appreciate your post, but you have played two teams in Everton and Southampton who failed to turn up and needed some luck to get past them. You can expect us to get at you, and I hope for the sake of your team your fans back them while we have their backs to the wall. Slightly over confident post but for me you've shown nothing all season and I think we all fully back our lads to go out there and get the win. If you do get the 3 points I hope it's because we're beaten by the better team on the day and not because of contentious decisions.

I agree it will be a tough game for us but you also have to realise we are at home and will have a packed stadium. It could go either way.

You've got the rub of the green last couple of games and you'll probably stay up now. Hope we smash you but would rather see Newcastle or Hull go down.

Yes we have had some luck, doesn't matter how they go in though as long as they do  ;) It looks like it will be Hull, 2 tough games for them they might get something against Spurs hope they don't though.

You're going to hate me Mackem FTM. Out of Newcastle and Sunderland i would much rather see you go down. I used to work with alot of Geordies and there hatred towards Mackems rubbed off on me a little. Although i have still laughed at Newcastles plight this season. Saying that though i would still rather see Hull go down over you. Hull really are a horrible little club.

So next week obviously i want a Leicester win but i would take the draw now if offered to me. Every point is crucial this time of the season. As far as im concerned though the pressure is all on you. We have definately got enough to beat you but you certainly have players to cause trouble. Defoe can score against the best of teams and Graham will have some new found confidence. I think your defence will struggle against us especially Vardy. 3-1 win to the mighty foxes and safety guaranteed

I will wish you luck for the rest of the season though as even though i dont like Sunderland i still prefer you over Hull

The hate between us and the Mags is massive, you only have to look at the plane we sent over their stadium although I was not in favour of that stunt given our predicament but I expect another to fly over there if they are relegated and they would do the same to us know doubt, all banter though. I'm not a fan of Hull either, They started of the season well and tailored off, it looks like Hull will go down with their games but you never know in football. Our defence is shattered, something that needs sorting out as a priority so yes I do worry of your pace in the side which is why we are set up for the whole team to help defensively to cope abit more. I wouldn't underestimate us though, if we are on top form we can be a threat going forward it's whether the strikers take their chances something which they are struggling with this season.

Posted

Im certainly not going to underestimate you especially at Home and in the dog fight with us. One thing i will say is our away support will be as loud as possible. Lets hope for an entertaining game.

Certainly not the furthest into a season. 2004-05 WBA were bottom going into the last game (under Robson & assistant Nigel Pearson) - indeed going into the 2nd half of the last game!

I know a Pompey fan who went to that West Brom game, all the Portsmouth fans celebrating WBA's goals to send Southampton down and joining in the celebrations. lol

If Hull lose, I'd take the draw but I think Sunderland would be mad to not play for the win because of their poorer goal difference.

Taking a draw if Hull lose is all well and good. But the team must go hell for leather for a win, it's the only way we can play.

I think it will be a very cagey game, much like Burnley away, where we know we mustn't lose and that will play on people's minds in a way it doesn't in other games... And like our cagey performance at Burnley away, it could could go either way

Yeah i agree with this. Our style of play isn't to go for a draw, even when at times this season we maybe should have. I too expect a scrappy game from both sides which could favour them

Take care, pride always comes before a fall.

Cream always rises to the top........ but turds also float!!!

If we play shit on Saturday, Sunderland may have the last laugh.

Personally, I think that Sunderland and Newcastle, like ourselves have tremendous support and I want all three of us to stay up and Hull City take the drop.

A draw for us on Saturday and a win for Spurs will suit me fine.

Theres only 1 thing that can beat quality

Luck.

Sunderland have plenty going by recent performances

Really hope leicester stay up and would of expected most leicester fans hoping newcastle would go down after a certain 7-1 hammering from some years ago off which i would of thought had still been lingering in every leicester fans minds but guess not.

For some reason we usually get beat of teams around us (apart from burnley who we beat at home) so on that factor i reckon it's 3 points for you lot.

Also a bit of a random request. I just noticed my sig....Could anybody with Photoshop put Huth on Moore's body for me... and put a better pic of Was on!

Here you go...you're welcome.

I applaud you on your recent form and you deserve to stay in the Prem. You did what we did last year and went on a good run near the end of the season which was vital for you and you have done very well. We all want Newcastle to get relegated but like yourselves we couldn't careless really who it is as long as it isn't us. We will go out for the win against you but you also have alot of pace so it could go either way really but I'm sure both of us will stay up this season.

Why do most of the Sunderland fans on that readytogo forum type like their accents?

That 7-1 hammering wasn't massively significant, we still made the playoffs so I don't think it harboured any ill feeling. That said, I hate both Newcastle and Hull, so by default would rather you wankers stay up over them.

Really looking forward to this game now. I'm convinced Hull will win at Spurs, which is going to throw a cat amongst the pigeons. With the exception of Newcastle, by and large most of the clubs that are fighting down the bottom have shown enough desire to win those games that are against teams 'with not much to play for'. I'm assuming after every victory Leicester have had recently, you've probably been equally p!ssed with 'shock' results from the others down the bottom winning games they were meant to lose, eg. Hull v Liverpool, Everton v Sunderland, Palace v Hull, Spurs v Villa, Man Utd v West Brom etc etc. 9 times out of 10 these games go the way of the club higher in the league, but at the business end of the season teams that are fighting for their lives will go that extra 10% and that can be enough to beat the likes of Spurs who won't want to know once Hull start getting stuck in.

This weekend I think could be pivotal for Sunderland, if we win then I'd say we're safe even if Hull also win, as I don't see Newcastle picking up 4 points from their last two games. I expect regardless of Saturday's result, Leicester will thrash QPR so I don't think your in the mix at all.

I can either see you guys putting 3 or 4 past us on Saturday in a convincing victory, or Sunderland will sneak a home win, with the rest of the premier league wondering HTF that happened. I hope it's the latter.

Good luck after Saturday, you have been a credit to your City. I hope you stay up, but not at our expense. Keep the faith

Great post, though I wouldn't expect to see 3 or 4 goals without response in a relegation six-pointer like this.  Can see it being decided by the solitary goal either way, maybe 2 if the losing side push and leave themselves open.  If I had to put money on it I'd back us... just.

Yep. I think we are much better than Sunderland and should win.

Nige was in a good mood after the Southampton game which rarely happens but I fully expect the team to be business as usual. If we are anywhere near our best we win. Simple.

Excellent post.

I can see Hull beating Spurs, just like I could them beating Liverpool

that means we mustn't lose

I actually think we've got too many niggles & strains among our team who've literally had to be carried off the pitch this past month to give it a 90min performance, so unless we go into HT winning 0-2, you'll have too much for us later on

1-2, or 2-1

Tight & nervy as hell

This.

A lot depends on how City play in the first 20 minutes/half an hour. If we play with pace and we get a couple of goals, I think we will win convincingly. If we don't, it may turn out to be "one of those days". Either way, we should get a win against QPR, although even that is not safe.

good post..there is just a sniff that the exertions might be catching up on the players....just got to get this thing over the line and it will have been a magnification effort from all of the staff

Think we will better Southampton's victory over these last year and put 9 past them. I have watched 2 of their last 3 games and have no idea how they are premier league. Yes it's a small sample of games but they were just poor and lucky. If we lose this game I will record myself eating my own faeces and will post it in this thread.
