sylofox Posted 16 May 2015 Author Posted 16 May 2015 I KNOW you were a optimistic one Sylo, i think i probably gave you dome shite at the time!!! I'm just saying there was ALOT like Me n Monsell at that stage of the season who thought we were dead. Anyway, let it go and enjoy it!!!! I have and loving tonight. Having just as much fun weeding out the bulls1tters. Just a shame it is 90% of the site lol
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I voted gone, gone, gone, but I was wrong, wrong wrong. Don't do this to me again next season Pearson, I'm too fragile.
steveherbe Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 As previously said somewhere else, me and Tom were at the U18 game against Soton, Saints fan asked if I thought we'd stay up. Said yes without hesitation. Did I believe me? Only I know!
sylofox Posted 16 May 2015 Author Posted 16 May 2015 I voted gone, gone, gone, but I was wrong, wrong wrong. Don't do this to me again next season Pearson, I'm too fragile. Love it when you are wrong lol
DennisNedry Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Now that we have stayed up, you can't really look back and say people were foolish to write us off. Whichever way you analyse it, logic, odds and statistics all pointed to us going down. It's a minor miracle that we've gone on this run.
gerrytaggart Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Knew we would do it. Shit me sen a few times like.

But always said if we could get to spurs and have a chance we would do it. Got battered by so many for having faith. I am a Fox and will never quit till the maths say otherwise.
Guest Lcfc82 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Thought we were gone after hull game, delighted to be proved wrong. Most of the people who are saying they thought we would be fine all along are full of s**t
Poznan34 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I thought we were gone after Hull. Very happy to be wrong!
Gary Eatfood Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I'd resigned myself to relegation after the Hull game, probably the Palace game in truth. I don't think the Premier League will ever see such a dramatic turnaround in a teams fortunes ever again. Simply the Greatest Escape Ever.

Am I full of sh1te Raj remembers my backing when most said we were dead.
Matt Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 We were goners as far as I was concerned. Thankfully though I was proven wrong. What I did say though was when the fixtures first come out last June I looked at the last 8 games and said if we were in the shit coming up to the last 8 games I believe the majority of them are all winnable. Given where we were before those last 8 I thought we were in too much shit, so I was kind of right before a ball was kicked! But no, I am willing to admit I wrote them off and was proved wrong and i'm very happy for that to be the case. It's a tough start but you've gotta play the teams sometime and I am kinda justifying it (If that's the right phrase to use) by saying i'd rather start with tough games, get them out the way earlier rather than later, what gives me abit of confidence is that I reckon the majority of the last 8 games are winnable, they be tough like any other game and I don't wanna be going into them cocky or anything but I honestly think should we be in any danger which we probably will be we have chance to get out of danger. It's finally sunk in though and it seems alot tougher after seeing the fixtures today! I'm very pissed off Arsenal away is on a Tuesday night and Liverpool is on NYD. Two of the games I really wanted to go to pretty much out of the question already, fuming.
fatboytim Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I thought we were dead and buried. Couldn't see where the next win was going to come from. We just seemed to be playing almost, but not quite, good enough to win a game, coupled with a few bad reffing decisions along the way. Was in shock that we beat West Ham (my nephew is a hammers fan) but didn't really start to believe we could do it til we beat West Brom cos we'd been lucky with other results going our way so we didn't seem too far away despite our awful run. Then last week when we beat Southampton I KNEW we were staying up so wasn't too worried about today
Mike Oxlong Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 A stunning end to the season but should Nigel ever, ever play Konch and Simpson together again in a back 5 it should be grounds for instant dismissal - even against Quorn in a pre season friendly.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 After the Hull game I'll admit I thought we were gone. I think a lot of people probably did even if they didn't come out and say it. Most neutrals would have written us off and rightly so based on the table at the time. This
Guest Lcfc82 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Not fine but always said we could do it. Am I full of sh1te Raj remembers my backing when most said we were dead. Most not all
Raj Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Not fine but always said we could do it. Am I full of sh1te Raj remembers my backing when most said we were dead. I can confirm..sylo thought we were dead at Xmas!!!!....joking!!!

CosbehFox Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 One of the few with Sylo to say we had it in us to stay up. I was lucky enough to be out of the country for that Hull game and I went to Spurs a week later where I felt we were very unfortunate not to get anything from the game. However, there were doubts I think there was a point where we were losing at West Brom that you looked at the table and thought game over. I also struggled to see where team morale and fan support could go after the Villa cup game. A real post match toxic atmosphere.
HighPeakFox Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Thought we were gone, because the evidence suggested we were gone. Perhaps the poll should be 'who can create an argument out of absolutely nothing?'
Vlad the Fox Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 I thought we'd do it but never imagined we'd go on the run, or need to go on the run that we have done. My predictions had us beating qpr last game to stay up on 33/34 points. We'd booked a weekend away next week and at the time of booking I informed the Mrs I'd be making the drive to the KP and back. I'll still be going however as I feel it's only right for me to show the players my appreciation for what is an enormous effort and belief they put in to stay up. Just edit to say the fans, we've been fantastic, had we got on the players backs and started booing and cat calling I'm sure this would have been much more difficult for the players and would have probably never happened. I feel we could have been the difference in allowing the players to have the confidence to really go for it, showing no fear and driving us out of the bottom three.
Fox Ulike Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Foolish no. But always said if we could get to spurs and have a chance we would do it. Got battered by so many for having faith. I am a Fox and will never quit till the maths say otherwise. You're confusing faith with rational belief. To come on here and pretend you knew that we would win 6 of 7 games and would be safe with a game to go is ludicrus. The reason our escape is so special is because no one could possibly believe it could happen. Not even you. If you always knew this would happen then why are you so pleased about it that you've created a whole thread in your own honour? Surely this revival just fulfils your mundane expectations of narrowly avoiding relegation this season?
Fox Ulike Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Elation my Mrs has been riding my erection since 5pm. She is soooooo fvcking happy we stayed up. She now want's us to do the treble next year and the quad the season after. If you only give her your attentions when your footy team achieves something then she'd probably be even happier if you supported chelsea
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Shit wording of the question, I always backed the manager and the players, but after spurs I did think we were going down. I knew we could stay up but I wouldn't have backed us in the betting sense, I wouldn't have put any money on it. This.
