Leicester City Football Club has signed a new three-year agreement with PUMA to continue its technical partnership with the global sports brand.
PUMA – City’s Official Sportswear Partner - will continue to supply team kit, replica kit and trainingwear to the Foxes, starting with the brand new 2015/16 home kit, which will be worn for the first time during Sunday’s Barclays Premier League fixture against Queens Park Rangers.

Susan Whelan, Leicester City’s Chief Executive Officer, said:“We have enjoyed a highly successful relationship with PUMA over the last three seasons. I’m delighted that we’ll have a chance to build on those successes and strengthen our association with such a reputable, world-famous brand.

“A lead technical partnership touches all areas of the Football Club, from our first team operations, to our Academy setup, our community programmes and our retail strategy.

“Our supporters can be reassured that such responsibility will be entrusted to one of the strongest, most identifiable sporting suppliers in the world.”

PUMA’s partnership with Leicester City has coincided with one of the most successful periods in the Foxes’ recent history, which saw the Club climb back into the Premier League for the first time in a decade, while shattering all manner of Club records sporting the PUMA brand.

City roared to the Football League Championship title in 2013/14 with a monstrous 102 points and 31 victories – both Club records. The image of captain Wes Morgan, PUMA gold adorning his shirt and silverware in his hands, lifting the Football League’s famous Championship trophy will go down as one of the iconic images in Leicester City history.

Completing the journey back to the big time, PUMA’s was a fitting presence on the kit that announced Leicester City’s Premier League return in 2014/15 – another gold-enhanced jersey that would go on to become one of the biggest selling shirts in the Club’s history. It was immortalised by a stunning 5-3 victory over Manchester United – dubbed the greatest game ever seen at King Power Stadium – and a stunning late-season run to secure the Club’s Premier League status.

Ruth How, Head of Marketing, PUMA UKIB, added:"Leicester City is a great club with strong traditions and it has been a pleasure to be a part of a very successful period for the Club. We are looking forward to continuing and strengthening the partnership with the Foxes and the fans."

The new agreement will begin with the launch of Leicester City’s 2015/16 home kit, which will be worn by the first team on Sunday 24 May when the Foxes host their final game of the 2014/15 season against Queens Park Rangers at King Power Stadium.

The new kit, which will be the first to feature the new 25th anniversary logo of City’s shirt sponsor King Power, will go on sale from 12 noon on Sunday 24 May, giving supporters the chance to wear the new shirt alongside the team on Sunday. The City Fanstore will be open from 12noon to 6pm, while shirts will be available online 24-hours-a-day at www.lcfcdirect.com.

Wait PUMA or Genesis?

No mention of Genesis on the press release, which there was in 2012 when we first started having Puma kits.

This might be directly through Puma.

true, I always find it strange with ex-players on new shirts. Not sure why

But lets get to the real point here, If the kit is in fact like the new wolves kit. It is going to do wonders showing off the clevage of all of our (including mysef) larger fans with that beautifull low cut collar mmmmmmmm

Am I the only one who thinks wearing the 2015/16 kit in the 2014/15 season is absolute horse shit?

you think almost everything is horseshit

My main hope is that we ditch the gold lettering.

Doubt it, the club are intent on gold being the secondary colour, on the shirts at least. I wouldn't be surprised if we ditched the white altogether.

It's going to be like the Wolves kit, which is awful.

It certainly looks that way from that picture.

Is that the same sleeves as Wolves?

Yes except the raised bit on the top is black for them. If that bit was white on ours that would have been a positive but it looks as if it will be very plain with a v-neck.

you think almost everything is horseshit

Including you.

It's a common marketing ploy, so I don't see why you're acting so strangely.
