LJS Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 It's a common marketing ploy, so I don't see why you're acting so strangely. I don't like it either. Something being a common ploy doesn't make it likeable. We shouldn't be releasing new kits every year either.
Stadt Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 Including you. it was pretty light hearted jab at your miserable internet persona, don't cry
Jace Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 Am I the only one who thinks wearing the 2015/16 kit in the 2014/15 season is absolute horse shit? I don't like it either, I think its a good idea it being launched or released on the final day of the season but not wearing it especially Spurs 2 games before the end of the season soon it will be 3 games
ScouseFox Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 It is common, and shit. hahaha please stop i cannot breathe. so blunt. common, AND SHIT.
Raw Dykes Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 My main hope is that we ditch the gold lettering. I like the gold lettering. I can see why people wouldn't - it's not traditional, and I normally hate it when a team's kit gets messed around with like that - I hated the red shorts on England's home kit, for example - but I think the little bits of gold on our home kit look great. Actually, I think this season's home kit has been one of the best I can remember. This one and the sponsorless 125th anniversary one are my top 2 from recent history, I think. I hope we get a decent away kit this time. Didn't like either of this season's at all.
MC Prussian Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 I don't like it either. Something being a common ploy doesn't make it likeable. We shouldn't be releasing new kits every year either. *You must try harder when wanting to imitate Kitchandro* On the flipside, you get the 2014/15 kit at a massive discount now. Splash the cash.

I don't buy them regardless of price. I just think it's sad that clubs look for every opportunity to rinse fans of cash. A football coub should be more akin to a public community service than a large corporation. Not the way of the world, I know. But that doesn't mean I have to applaud it.

Who the fvck cares about something like that? A football team wears a slightly different kit for one game of the season. What's the problem?

Nobody's forced to buy the new shirt. Some people go for the sales items at the end of each season to save money, others invest in a new shirt every two or three years. It's up to each single fan to decide. Nothing shameful. Let's not forget that these owners tend to give some back to the fans. Not much in terms of quantity, but at least something in order to make them much more likable than a plethora of other PL clubs.
queensguardfox Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 Definitely a copy of the Wolves kit. Yes 100% look at the change of textures on the sleavE of the new teaser pic. Its deffo a copy of the wolves kit.
Finnaldo Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 Definitely a copy of the Wolves kit. Oh god, I'm glad there's no white on the shoulders or I'd be getting flashbacks to the 2007-09 kit.
Itsthejoeker Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 I thought a deal with Puma means you get a bespoke kit?
Stevosevic Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 The collar only looks shit on Stearman to be fair because he's so skinny.
Strokes Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 Don't really care much for footie shirts, people wear them at the most inappropriate occasions and make it a crass fashion imo.
The Doctor Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 My main hope is that we ditch the gold lettering. Wasn't that a "We won a title last season" deal?
Guest Bilo Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 Wasn't that a "We won a title last season" deal? That was what I thought as well. The gold kit was definitely along that basis - I demand the black shirt with a blue sash back!
Harry - LCFC Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 Wasn't that a "We won a title last season" deal? Dunno. Don't recall that being said. I sort of guessed it was to do with the owners wanting to promoted the King Power brand.
Fox96 Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 I prefer collared shirts like ours at the minute, but at least we're not waiting until like august to release it again.
Finnaldo Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 That was what I thought as well. The gold kit was definitely along that basis - I demand the black shirt with a blue sash back! If they insist on gold again I'd hope for a white shirt with a gold and turquoise sash. Still won't be great but better than this year's effort.
Raw Dykes Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 Definitely a copy of the Wolves kit. It's okay. Pretty inoffensive, really. Collar's a bit lame. Nowhere near as good as this season's effort.
