AyewJoking Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Looks like Garry Monk could be sacked tomorrow. Seems harsh if you ask me. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34896029 Dyer more likely to sign permanently for us?
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Good to see all the anti Kane tossers out in force again. Youre all twats anyway whatever your opinon is. Scored 2 good goals today. Chat shit get banged mate
Harry - LCFC Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 We've not played anyone yet. We must have had one of the easiest 13 game starts in the league this season. Looking at our remaining six games shows us that quite clearly I think. I don't enjoy admitting it but I think what people say is right, we are where we are in part because we've been fortunate to avoid a lot of the hardest games this season.

Harry - LCFC Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 yeah big mistake taking so many points and getting everyones hopes up That doesn't really relate to what I've said, does it? It's easier picking up points against the teams we've played in the first 13 games than it will be to pick up points against the teams we're going to play in the next 6 games. I just think it's worth understanding that when looking at our position in the table.

Ah, no worries I've already said to myself if we beat United I won't make that comment anymore. A win against a Champions League team would change my outlook.

On the other hand it looks like we've missed the best time to play Chelsea and Liverpool.

I'm sure we're all fully aware that we've not played quite a few of the bigger teams. But... we've played 13 of 19 teams, many of those fans moaning about our fixtures, well their team has failed to beat quite a few of those not so good 13 teams. We might not beat the best, but we were never expected to. Continue dispatching the rest and we'll still have a great season. We took 2 points off Everton, 3 off Swansea, 3 off united, 1 off arsenal. Gave Chelsea a run for their money in both games, took a point at Anfield when we were robbed of 3. Only one I never felt close in was Man City really.

How many of these games did they expect us to win? I've seen very few experts predict we'll win more than about four matches, even in the current run because "they have to lose at some point". Many people had us to finish adrift at the bottom. Logic dictates that we'll lose plenty of matches. We haven't, we've done brilliantly against a variety of sides.

I think we deserved a draw in the home fixture - that fluke goal by Lampard was very annoying and unnecessary, as both sides were pretty much canceling each other out.
AKCJ Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 I think we deserved a draw in the home fixture - that fluke goal by Lampard was very annoying and unnecessary, as both sides were pretty much canceling each other out. Fluke? It wasn't a fluke at all.
ScouseFox Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 we were way better than man city in the home game and unlucky not to get anything (blatant penalty given as a free kick) in the away game.
Babylon Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 we were way better than man city in the home game and unlucky not to get anything (blatant penalty given as a free kick) in the away game. I didn't think we were at all, they seemed comfortable to me and we struggled to get any penetration. All opinions though.
NewburyFox Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 We should've had two penalties in the away game shouldn't we? One foul in the box on Kramaric given outside the box and a stonewall penalty on Schlupp not given.
MC Prussian Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Fluke? It wasn't a fluke at all. Fluke in the way that it was created - didn't he receive the ball out of nowhere (from a bad clearance at our end)?
AKCJ Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Fluke in the way that it was created - didn't he receive the ball out of nowhere (from a bad clearance at our end)? No, Nasri played a good ball in and Lampard ghosted into the 6 yard area totally unmarked and slotted in. Trademark Lampard goal really.
Captain... Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Fluke? It wasn't a fluke at all. It was awful defending if I remember correctly, letting the most prolific midfielder in the league waltz into the box unmarked. After that we gave it a good go, but Man City never looked troubled.
Guest Col city fan Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Fluke? It wasn't a fluke at all. He was simply unmarked...ghosted into the box with no-one following him. Like too many goals conceded last season.
bovril Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 It's late November and we are top, having lost 1 game and scored more goals than anyone else. Just let that sink in for a while.

Guest Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 cambiassos fault? Most probably. Kanté and Drinks FTW!
Guest Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Monk's job is on the line. Please no change before we play them.

I just think it's worth understanding that when looking at our position in the table. I accept the argument that we haven't played many top sides so we probably won't win the league. I won't accept that we're overrated because of it though. Out of the games we've played we've been one of the best teams in the league. Period. All the jealous lower midtable sides were saying this after the first 5 games but we're still proving this isn't a lucky run. We're miles better than about half the league at this point.
