The Doctor Posted 14 June 2015 Posted 14 June 2015 well obviously you wouldn't Even if I actually cared about england (only watching this in the hope of seeing Vardy) I wouldn't - club over country, particularly when country is stuck in some retarded call-up plan of "if play for top 6, call up", then fill in the rest at random, with players shoe-horned in for the sake of it. Rooney for instance brings the entire england team down, and hasn't performed when it matters since 2004. But he's a big name, so he plays - it's like Svens midfield - wasted Scholes for the sake of including Beckham, Gerrard and Lampard; Hodgson wastes a lot of good attacking players, all of whom play direct with pace, for the sake of including a lumbering oaf.

I respect your opinion, but for me Hodgson isn't the right man for me, too mondain, big club biased and frankly dull. That said the choice of players isn't exactly great either especially with overrated Rooney.
