Mikey Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Argentina 1-0 Uruguay last night. Arturo Vidal been arrested for drunk driving and crashing his Ferrari with his wife in his car - writing off the car in the crash too. Idiotic!
GSOOT Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 "My wife's gone to watch the Copa America" "Jamaica?" "No, she went of her own accord"
Wymsey Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 South Americans are more passionate about their teams than most Europeans imo.
dogadug Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Colombia 1 up - well deserved. Hope they go on to win
Amin Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Well played Colombia. Neymar played crap ergo Brazil played crap.
dogadug Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Neymar just got sent off for being in a scuffle with Bacca at full time!
Guest Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 South Americans are more passionate about their teams than most Europeans imo. They're definitely more outwardly exuberant. Double-edged sword though, when they're unhappy with their team they really show it too.
zak_lcfc Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 The Colombia game was good apart from the post final whistle incident, Brazil missed some easy chances but Colombia played well, apart from one game so far it's been a good tournament
1993fox Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 It's not a real Copa America without some good old-fashioned Latin theatrics. It really does ruin some good quality football.
Dan Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 I'll be livid if Vidal ends up missing some of the games. Brazil could well end up binned out if they aren't careful, although you wouldn't fancy Venezuela to beat them, but then again... why not? You can pick a winner out of a hat. Literally.
Dan Posted 20 June 2015 Posted 20 June 2015 Chile beat Bolivia 5-0 to win the group. Bolivia finish 2nd despite that result and Ecuador third, so they have a 2 in 3 chance of going through although they have a pretty low points total of just 3. See that Neymar's been ruled out of the whole tournament for his incident the other night. So much for beating corruption eh? What an absolutely appalling decision.
MC Prussian Posted 20 June 2015 Posted 20 June 2015 Bye bye, Neymar. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/33208871
filbertway Posted 20 June 2015 Posted 20 June 2015 That shove was way more aggressive than the little flick of the head from Neymar. I'm assuming it was down to what he said to the referee Brazilian media reports suggested he had also confronted the referee before returning to the dressing room as there is no chance kicking a ball at someone and flicking your head towards someone is worthy of a tourament ban. In my opinion anyway, I suppose in the hypersensitve state football is in at the minute they could be classed as monstrous, vile, dispicable behaviour.
ScouseFox Posted 20 June 2015 Posted 20 June 2015 man like suarez took 6 months to turn a little pussy bitch golden boy into someone getting tournament bans from international footy. played.
BoyJones Posted 20 June 2015 Posted 20 June 2015 See Wes gets an early block in against Messi, but Argies 1 up after 11 min, with 92% possession!
Nalis Posted 21 June 2015 Posted 21 June 2015 Bye bye, Neymar. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/33208871 Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. On a side note, great to see a Morgan led Jamaican defence limit Argentina to a single goal.
zak_lcfc Posted 21 June 2015 Posted 21 June 2015 Colombia have been disappointing, I was expecting a lot more from them and they have failed to deliver! Will be interesting to see how Brazil vs Venezuela pans out as a draw would see them both through to the next round
zak_lcfc Posted 22 June 2015 Posted 22 June 2015 Argentina play Colombia next, should be a good game but both have been a little underwhelming to put it nicely! If Argentina win and Brazil beat Paraguay they meet in the semis which should be a great tie! If anybody wanted to bet on Argentina their odds have got a little bigger probably because they have to play Colombia next
Dan Posted 22 June 2015 Posted 22 June 2015 Argentina v Colombia will be crap. Both have been dull as hell so far. 1-0 Argentina written all over it.
Guest MattP Posted 23 June 2015 Posted 23 June 2015 Chile's route to the final The last 5 mins of Brazil v Venezuela was great football. I wouldn't rule out Colombia yet, seriously capable of raising their game against better opposition as the Brazil game showed.
Dan Posted 23 June 2015 Posted 23 June 2015 I'm not convinced Chile will even make it to the Semis. Uruguay love a 0-1 win in a game like this.
