StanSP Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 Tournament chat here and I've also set up a SuperBru pool so you can predict games against other FT members. Begins on 11 June and finishes 4th July. Our very own Wes Morgan will be taking on the likes of Messi, Sanchez and Neymar. Clear winner, there... If you'd like to join in the Superbru fun, the website is: http://www.superbru.com/copaamerica/pool.php?p=11396035 There's no fee or anything for sign-up. All free. Pool name is: FoxesTalk Copa America Pool code is: mownnits (I didn't create the pool code, it's what is automatically given!)
Amin Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 Brazil vs Colombia on the 18th should be entertaining. Please Zuniga, don't break Neymar's back this time! Personally, I'm hoping Brazil win to restore a fraction of their broken reputation. A home win for Chile would also be nice.
Narborough_fox Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 All games streamed on YouTube and Xbox Live so everyone is able to watch it. Can't see past Argentina winning the tournament.
the zorro Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 All games streamed on YouTube and Xbox Live so everyone is able to watch it. Can't see past Argentina winning the tournament. Unfortunately not now in the UK. Premier Sports have picked up the rights fairly recently. £9.99 a month I think. Although, of course there are ways of still being able to watch on YouTube
Stadt Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 Joined Stan, Argentina's to lose, Chile and Colombia to out perform brazil. I ant Ecuador to do well because I'm going next summer.
Jordan Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 I'm excited for this, especially because the games are on at great times for me. Argentina's side on paper looks fantastic, but I'm really excited to see how Colombia will do. I always want Ecuador to do well, and I think they should get out of their group (I think they can get a result against a Mexican team that seems to be losing confidence at the wrong time). Wrestling fans might want to cancel their plans for Argentina vs Uruguay on the 16th, because that's gonna be a war. That'll soften Messi & Co. up a little before they have to deal with Big Wes on the 20th! Brazil looks like they're essentially bringing their u23s once again, and you never know what you're going to get with them. For example, 2011 they were equal parts brilliant and atrocious, but it was cool to see Neymar in action.
Rincewind Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 Joined but no predictions yet. Idid join a Paraguay group after choosing them as a fav team then saw the list of pools and resigned and joined this one. I did do predictions for the other group. They wont count will they as I resigned? They do count. Not locked them yet
Guest MattP Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 As always really looking forward to this, ordered Premier Sports and the games are on at great times being lateish at night. Might favourite tournament after the World Cup and drama is always guaranteed. Genuine four top class sides in this with the big two and the recent emergence of Colombia and Chile. Fancy the hosts to win it. Brazil looks like they're essentially bringing their u23s once again, and you never know what you're going to get with them. For example, 2011 they were equal parts brilliant and atrocious, but it was cool to see Neymar in action. The squad I saw looked very strong and wasn't an under 23 one, it has Luiz, Luis, Danilo, Thiago, Neymar, Tardelli, Willian, Fernandinho, Robinho etc
Samilktray Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 Robinho is still around and still plays for Brazil? This is almost as baffling to me as Jo going to the world cup.
Guest MattP Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 Robinho is still around and still plays for Brazil? This is almost as baffling to me as Jo going to the world cup. He was in the squad I saw, I bet he's only early 30's still.

I've heard he's been good for Santos since he returned there. He's also got 96 caps and 27 goals, which isn't a bad international career (and puts him either among or near some excellent Brazilians). He must be a terrible player to have to man-manage, but while he's been a disappointment, it's not like he's a Ricardo Quaresma, or (older) Denilson. I feel like Brazilians (especially Santos fans) hold him in much higher regard than fans around the world.
Dan Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 Want Chile to win it I've decided. Just something about them I like and can't put my finger on it.
Fox in the North Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 Well they've never won it, this is probably going to be their best chance.
CosbehFox Posted 11 June 2015 Posted 11 June 2015 G'won Chile. Big fan of them and their style. Gave us the game of the World Cup last Summer against Brazil.
ScouseFox Posted 11 June 2015 Posted 11 June 2015 woulda wanted uruguay but no suarez so they're boring now. columbia/falcao pls or maybe chile cos they're quite cool but that pr1ck who played for cardiff plays for them so hopefully they lose ever game 18-0
purpleronnie Posted 11 June 2015 Posted 11 June 2015 All over this, anything that saves us from the Womens world cup is alright by me.
ScouseFox Posted 11 June 2015 Posted 11 June 2015 every game is on paddy power's streaming service for anyone with an account, if not make an account. should be easy to stream anyway.
Dan Posted 11 June 2015 Posted 11 June 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQ6MeUi-8EA&feature=youtu.be Youtube stream. Delete this if it's not allowed but I'm assuming it is.
Dan Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 I've had a free £20 on Chile -1 at 13/10. Amazed they aren't winning. Still fancy my bet to come in. I'll say 2-0. Some of their football has been terrific at times although they are prone to errors.
Jaspa Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 Vidal is just one of them players where whenever I watch them theyre bang average, same goes with Cavani
Jaspa Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 lol Cheap peno really. I do like Chile though; short, stocky and tenacious, their average height must be down around 5''6, wouldnt mind seeing them turn into a boss force in the future for a bit
