Dont understand why this is the only match to have extra time in the whole tournament

I still dont buy this argument at all. Say there is another player better than Messi in 30 years time who happens to come from Andorra but wins everything at club level and breaks countless individual records. Can they not be considered in the bracket of one of the greatest ever because they havent acheived honours on the international stage?

One can argue that club football is more prominent, and we've also seen a mass transfer of South American players to European clubs, which wasn't as common during Maradona's day, and certainly much rarer when Pelé was kicking about. Basically, Miroslav Klose is the greatest player of our lifetime.
