Wymsey Posted 4 November 2015 Posted 4 November 2015 If Arsenal don't make top 4, minimum, in PL Wenger will be gone imo. Starting to feel Arsenal have been sussed with their style nowadays, and other teams often capitalize on it.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 4 November 2015 Posted 4 November 2015 Arsenal only have themselves to blame. Can't see em qualifying now. Olympiakos are a decent team and won't lose by two clear goals imo assuming they lose to Bayern

Starting to feel Arsenal have been sussed with their style nowadays, and other teams often capitalize on it. Theyll easily make top 4, but thats not good enough for a club like Arsenal. It wasnt so long back Arsenal had top quality players who challenged for the Premier League. Won doubles. Went league seasons unbeaten. In recent years theyve celebrated finishing 4th like its a trophy. And two poxy FA Cups dont cut the mustard either. They should be having a real go at the Champions League and a real go at the League.
Jon the Hat Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Anyone watching Chelski wish we were playing them this weekend. They really are garbage at the minute. I was at the game last night with a Chelsea supporting mate who had a spare ticket. It is weird seeing that group of players looks so pedestrian. Willian and Azpilicueta aside, there was a distinct lack of closing down and pressure, especially after half time. Fabregas was a shadow of the player who ripped it up early last season. Costa looked shite and the defence panicky. Hazard came on and looked like he really wanted the ball and to take on the Kiev defence, and to be honest that is what won them the game. The question is why Mourinho left it so late to make the changes when it was clear that Fabregas and Oscar were delivering very little from half time onwards.

Yeah... seems like people overlook the fact that Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool have increased their spending manifold since while Arsenal have been 'responsible' or 'prudent'. I far far prefer Arsenal's model to running a club than say Chelsea or Man City.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Yeah... seems like people overlook the fact that Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool have increased their spending manifold since while Arsenal have been 'responsible' or 'prudent'. I far far prefer Arsenal's model to running a club than say Chelsea or Man City. They've spent a billion pounds on wages since they last won the league.
shen Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 They've spent a billion pounds on wages since they last won the league. Yes, but compare it to what the others have spent, both in wages and in transfers. Besides, all clubs in the Prem are getting more and more money so increase in wages is normal. There can't be much doubt as to which of the five mentioned clubs have the most sustainable model!
Bobby Hundreds Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 I would say none are sustainable, it's only a matter of time before it all goes shit up.
AyewJoking Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 There's arsenals customary 'heavy defeat against another big team' then. Oh and 10 players injured. What the hell does their sports science team do? Walk 5 yards ahead of Jack Wilshere every day emptying sacks of cotton wool for him to walk on?

shen Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 I would say none are sustainable, it's only a matter of time before it all goes shit up.I did say "most" sustainable. As far as I'm aware though, Arsenal have operated most years since with a profit, so in that sense they're sustainable.
shen Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Yep and im sure the Arsenal fans never love challenging for anything of any note and having a squad of crocks too. Do you know how their fans feel? I would hope the majority of them appreciate the success they have had in the past and that to seriously compete for the title they would have to invest unsustainable amounts of cash. But basically any club who aren't Man U, Man City or Chelsea should be branded unambitious and underperforming following your train of thought...?

shen Posted 6 November 2015 Posted 6 November 2015 Arsenal fans are the most mugged off in the country. So by that right they should be entitled to bags of silverware...?
ScouseFox Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 anyone see hulk tried and failed twice to get himself booked at the end there lmao what a numpty
StanSP Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 anyone see hulk tried and failed twice to get himself booked at the end there lmao what a numpty the 2 offsides then having a go at the ref
ScouseFox Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 the 2 offsides then having a go at the ref the first one im not sure on but the second one he was 10% purposefully offside, heard the whistle, ignored the whistle and booted the ball as hard as he could (which is well hard) over the bar so he'd get booked for kicking the ball away. ref just ignored him haha.
Webbo Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 Arsenal are on freeview channel 59 if anyone is interested.
ScouseFox Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 barcelona could win by an extraordinary amount if they try 100% all game tonight. they're 2-0 up after 17 minutes and it could be 5-0 already.
