Edmund Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 I'm not convinced Nigel will be jumping into a new job anytime soon. He has enough dosh to keep him happy. He has had issues with his health. I think he will take his time over his next appointment. Shakey and Walshy may hang around if the new man doesn't have his own entourage.m I'm led to believe they already know their fate. It'll be a completely new backroom.
Kitchandro Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Why do people insist on blaming the owners for sacking Nigel. Untill we know more should we not trust the owners. After all they have only spent about 150m on us. As much as I backed Nigel when most did not last season lets be honest we know he is capable of putting his foot right in it. We will get another manager as good if not better than Nigel but will we get better owners. Because they did sack him As for your last statement, well that remains to be seen doesn't it? Everything the owners have done will be meaningless of we end up back in the Championship. he success of the club is what matters. All the cash they've spent makes not a jot of difference if the club ends up back at square one. Until we know more we trust no one, why should we trust the owners exactly? Cos they're rich and smile a lot?

We will get another manager as good if not better than Nigel but will we get better owners. Surely Nigel was successful with and without the owners. The owners have only ever been successful with Nigel. I don't understand how you come to these conclusions. And I wouldn't blame the owners yet, in spite of them making what appears to be a very daft decision to sack an extremely successful manager at the height of his success. And giving no specific reason whatsoever to back it up. Time will tell whether it was the right decision or not, regardless of the reason (unless they tell us that reason and it's very, very good). Hopefully everything will work out and we won't need to debate this, but as it stands it's very questionable as to whether this decision is for the long term good of the football club.

Foreverfox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Still fav this morning. That's the same man 2 days on the trot. This must be a first?
SecretPro Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 When Albert was on here the other night telling us about interviews he made reference to Walsh and shakey still being here and to 'make of that what you will'. Perhaps even they have had enough of Nige...
psychonaut Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Would be a great appointment IMO. An extremely likeable guy too. He also sounds (and looks a little) like Robin Williams.
Foreverfox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Give it Giggsy til the end of the season. Mate...It is the end of the season
Bagworthblue Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Would be a great appointment IMO. An extremely likeable guy too. He also sounds (and looks a little) like Robin Williams. I agree - he has the credentials - wants to come here and is a loyal, intelligent, well spoken and overall decent type of bloke. His squad rotation preference is my only concern but then again he will have 5 or 6 strikers to keep happy. I can't put my finger on it but I think he is my favourite of the 3 currently in the running. Saying that I would be 100% happy with O'Neill too and reasonably happy with Bielsabub apart from I'm not sure he would stick around long term, wonder what impact he would have on the squad unity and hasn't managed in the prem. so for me right now - this minute (it changes) it's Ranieri, O'Neill and then Bielsabub!
Rusko187 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 This is the man for us, they need to sign this guy up today!
lgfualol Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I like that he came out in public to say he'd take the job. At least he knows who we are. Does he like 3-5-2?
psychonaut Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 so for me right now - this minute (it changes) it's Ranieri, O'Neill and then Bielsabub! Exactly my preference in that order too. I'd be well pleased with either Ranieri or O'Neil - and if its Bielsa then at least we know we'd be entertained!
Foreverfox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Ranieri now best price 8/13 and all the money is for him only today. People betting him at short odds on prices still and this has not happened in the market before. Even shorter odds on the exchanges and the way the betting has gone in the last hour or so expect him to be very short odds on within the next few hours. I think the end of this saga is coming. Welcome to the club Randy Hairy I think.

People forget that there are human beings involved and instead make people into caricatures of their own opinions without knowing any facts. If we really knew the story we might be shocked because it's worse than we suppose, or we might cut them a break. Our hyper-sensationalized 24 hour media culture doesn't help, nor the fact the owners refuse to feed it and prefer to keep things private.
Foreverfox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 big Sam now 4/1 with skybet from 33/1. Best price anywhere is now 10/1. I'd this another bluff to ease the losses on Ranieri by getting in some mug money or is this yet another twist?

Foreverfox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 It has. Multiple times. No it's not. The only ly large vats that were ever played ed on short odds on were on Ranieri on Friday night. Everyone else who has gone short odds on have not been back at large sums. Only Ranieri

Former Chelsea and Greece manager is club's No1 target to take over from Nigel Pearson
inckley fox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Hm, missed that. Only saw the post saying that he played the majority of games in the last season they were at the same club If Ranieri, O'Neill and Bielsa were our main candidates, which they may well not be, then O'Neill would appear to be our best chance of keeping Cambiasso. Not that this should be the critical factor, of course.
Foreverfox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Betting suspended on half the bookies sites now. Best price 1/3
