Claudio Ranieri?

Hes actually not a shite manager.

He is clearly NOT a shite manager.

He managed Juve who had just been promoted after a matchfixing scandal and put them back in the champions league.

He saved Parma.

He bought a large percentage of the players Mourinho used to win the league at Chelsea.

He took Monaco from Ligue 2 to 2nd in Ligue 1 and the champions league.

His CV far outweighs Pearsons.

This is not to say Pearson didnt have a good CV or did a bad job.

Im just saying stop with the exaggerations.

Bit of an exaggeration to say that taking Monaco and Juve into the Champions League is as good of an achievement as you're making out.

Both clubs spent an absolute fortune and far more than their rivals.

Get him in ...

1) he appears to wants the job

2) he is proven at the highest level

3) he is not dyche or Lennon

4) he is not ( allegedly)asking for Roy Keane as no 2

5) he is not Cotteril

6) how we could turn our noses up at anyone that has had success at Chelsea is beyond me ( it's a tough gig )

7) he appears to wants the job

8) as much as a cult figure as he has become two days ago we though we were getting Preki - he's not him either

9) hes not Harry Rednapp

10) we don't have a manager and we need one ASAP

11) he would be at least a well calculated risk

NP isn't coming back - We're not going to get Klopp, Mouriniho, Pep, MON will probably say no and allegedly wants Keane as no2 ( no chance of that happening IMO)

It seems to me we having nothing to lose what is the realistic alternative?

David Moyes ??

he's actually just a shite manager, pearson has won more silverware and achieved more in the game; ranieri has been at three of italy's biggest clubs and won nothing - embarrassing

a big name for a big name's sake; its bleedin pitiful

if the thais do appoint him thats it for me with them, but i dont think anyone is that stupid - mind they did sack pearson

Why do people insist on blaming the owners for sacking Nigel.

Untill we know more should we not trust the owners.

After all they have only spent about 150m on us.

As much as I backed Nigel when most did not last season lets be honest we know he is capable of putting his foot right in it.

We will get another manager as good if not better than Nigel but will we get better owners.

I'm hoping the signings were a result of Walsh's time at Chelsea. Therefore there is a continuity link. We know Walsh was there for the initial part of Mourinho's period.

Keep on reading about Walsh and shakey staying.

They're already gone. Just overlooking training till the new mans announced.

Even if we wanted to keep them we couldn't. They come as a three. Nigel, Walsh and shakey.

No ones more loyal to nige than these two!

The more I look at the names I think David Moyes is up there on the list, in terms of exciting and inspiring appointments.

Whether he'd leave Sociedad for us leaves a big questionmark but he's certainly up there on the list for me compared with who we are being linked with.

You could also mention that he appears to want the job

Well it seems to be the main factor ... worth mentioning twice :))

I would normally agree but two weeks on and a degree of continuity is needed during pre season. If as rumoured Nige is angered at the decision taken by the owners. Also believing he has a legal case, then why haven't his two best mates followed?

Do you think he's a realistic choice ?

He will want to come back to Prem to right some wrongs he's been labelled with during his Man Utd tenure, now he might want a bigger, more established, mid-table to europe place team, but think we would be a pull for him. Whether he would leave Sociedad for us like I say leaves a big questionmark but he will be back in the Prem sometime soon i'm sure of it.

Agreed mate. I've said from the word Go that Moyes would be my first choice. I don't think it's impossible either.

Think we'd be a good move for him tbh.

Would imagine he was sounded out by West Ham and Newcastle. The fact that both have appointed someone else tells its own story.

Really why have they stayed then if Nigel is in the right.

More like they are happy with our club and we are happy with them.

Why would we trust them to do a job if they are so loyal to Nige.

This is a very important part of the season not really the best time to leave it with people that are going to fvck off.

The LCFC website states that Liam Moore will be joining up with the squad on Monday, so there is no reason why the new manager can't join up as well on Monday.

Anyway, there is less than a month to go until the new season kicks off, how on earth will the players know the new managers tactics in that short space of time? This needs to be sorted ASAP, even if it means getting Sean Dyche in  :D

Get off this forum please. Do not mention that man's name as a future Leicester City manager. Are you all there?

Because they both have contracts and if the resign, they lose their money. They aren't very highly paid like Pearson was. They can't afford to chuck away money on a point of principle. If they are going to follow Nigel then they will do so when he finds a job. if a new man comes in with their own staff, Walshy and shakey are paid off and happy.

Because they havn't been paid off and why would they leave without getting paid off?

What happens next remains to be seen but I would imagine;

a) When a new manager comes in, he will bring his 'team/staff' with him - Shakespeare, Walsh and others maybe will be paid off.

b) A new manager will come in and decide he'll keep them on.

c) They'll stay with the club until Nige get's another job then follow him there.

I was clearly joking.

Anyway, Ranieri is now 4/11 with SkyBet.

lol I know mate. I think the fact sky bets odds on Randy Hairy are so short means they are set to loose a load of money if tinkerman gets the job. Hence...they throw another name in the mix kaspers dad!

This is clearly a smokescreen to get some silly money on him to get some back they will loose on Randy Hairy.

they can't flounce out as they would be breaking their contracts - so they have to sit tight until the new governor says they can go and then they get a big pay off... leaving now would be crazy financially...

Because money talks.

If they were to resign they'll forfeit any remaining monies on the contract.

Once the new man is in they'll be leaving via "mutual consent" aka an agreed pay off.

Trust me they're both offski already.

Must be an awkward situation for them as I'd question whether their hearts will be in it. They're only human after all.

Beat me to it. Great minds!

To be honest, I can't argue with that. Either way, I am becoming increasingly frustrated with it all.

I'm not convinced Nigel will be jumping into a new job anytime soon. He has enough dosh to keep him happy. He has had issues with his health. I think he will take his time over his next appointment. Shakey and Walshy may hang around if the new man doesn't have his own entourage.m
