Maybe Pearson was sacked in January and has been forced to see it out till the end of the season so they had a fall guy to blame if we went down. Strange how Pearson looked so pissed off when we were winning during our run in. Maybe Cambiasso was acting as some kind of player/manager. He seemed to be directing a lot of the play. Maybe Pearson jnr thought "fvck it, you've sacked my dad, i'm gonna make you look like right cvnts!"

Thracian Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 We sure seem to be taking a long time to sort a manager. It's this season we need him folks! Or are we intent on giving ourselves a close season handicap like last season when we didn't seem properly prepared either...even when kick-off arrived. Seems to me there's less than a handful of realistic names in the hat and seeing as telephones are carried in the hand nowadays I don't see the problem in contacting any of them. Five minutes each should be all it takes to find out if they'd be willing to come here. Each and every one should be well known to our owners in terms of background record and character. So where's the problem? It's quite simple reallly. From those willing to come, decide who you want most and put the others next in order of preference. Put your best proposal forward and give your first choice an hour to decide before going to the next one. It's a privilege to manage this club. We don't need to go begging anyone or to be left on hold while people compare other options. Worst scenario by the end of the weekend? Let Rudkin be manager. He seems to be pulling a few of the strings according to some accounts anyway. So haul him away from the politics and admin to see how good he is when it comes to really running a football team. Strikes me whoever takes over has been left with one of the easiest jobs in football. Decent team, lots of spirit and comeraderie, many players on longish contracts, owners with money to spare for improvements. Can't go wrong! We don't need to invest in managerial superstars. All the foundations are in place. We just need someone to speak nicely to the media about ambition and what a great place the club is to work at. Rudkin would manage that. No resentment, no strangle-holds and no sarky comments about ostriches. He could just let the football speak for itself and make sure all future football tours are just centred round the pitches at Belvoir Drive!
