Yes, I know the season's a while away yet but the best available players aren't going to sit around waiting for Christmas before deciding who to play for. I've no real problem with the departure of Pearson because he played Russian Roulette and shot himself but I sure find a problem with us not seeming to have a back-up plan. We've got a decent team out there which I expect to get better rather than worse but that won't happen if the curtain goes up while we're still trying to find a conductor. How long does it take to agree a contract? If they're hesitating they don't want to come. Get someone who does. You get nothing for compromising but a kick in the teeth.

I get that there might've been a reason for Pearson to go that we don't know about, but how serious exactly could it be that we've gone to sack him with evidently very little contingency plan? We're digging our own graves here.

Avoiding speculation, rumour and word games based on the fact that Klopp rhymes with plop, can someone tell me if there have been any REAL developments today? What's going on?

Transfers yes, obviously you don't want the competition to know your targets but no other team is without a manager. I'm not saying we need to know all the details but surely a general statement from the club saying they have a short list and are interviewing candidates is not too much to ask.
