The Doctor Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 We would look like a laughing stock bringing him back a week after we sacked him (not a much as giving the job to Preki), but so what. I would welcome him back with open arms. Sacking a manager who's been an overwhelming success for the club with the only justification being "we didn't get along with him", I'd say we're already a laughing stock.

I agree, but appointing Preki would send us off the laughter scale, where as reappointing Pearson would eventually bring the laughter back down to manageable levels.
MC Prussian Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 would never have him back in a month of sundays!!!!! don't get me wrong I thought he was a good manager and he had the players playing for him but he was so much hassle and was never a fan of some of he substitutions! you cant have a manager that strangles players of the opposition during the game!!! it just brings bad press to the club!!!! but im deffinatly in favour of getting a manager that people have at least heard other than this yank/serb For a start, he didn't strangle McArthur. He put his hands on the upper part of the chest for a split second. Amazing how some people still have the nerve to regurgitate whatever's been spoonfed to them by the media.

lcfcbobby Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Don't get me wrong, I don't disagree, and stability is good. I wouldn't have grumbled if Nigel was in charge. But I take issue with people 1. Moaning at owners that have been nothing but superb. 2. Think Nigel is the only person who can progress leicester. here here!!! Finally someone who understands that Pearson is not the be all and end all! End of the day that is the only think that has changed the team is the same the staff is the same the facilities are the same and the owners are the same!!! Pearson going might be a good thing might be a bad 1 only way to find out is by moving forwards!! what people forget is that yes we finished strongly but mid season was absolutely shocking!!!

No-one has said he was the be all and end all, just that he's done an excellent job for us and really we would have been well served keeping him. Mid-season may have been poor results wise (although I maintain that the performances warranted more than they got) but that makes no difference, over the course of the season we did well enough - it's not like if we spread the last 9 games out over the course of the season the overall result would have been different. Matters not how you get to the pot of gold as long as you beat the leprechaun.
MC Prussian Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 A split second? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AbMB8LNgT4 You're welcome.

LCCFox96 Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 I'd have Pearson back in an absolute heartbeat, I'd run to his Sheffield home and fvcking carry him back here! We really have shot ourselves in the foot big time and toppled into hot water while we're at it!
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 this question was never going to divide opinion down the middle, was it?
AyewJoking Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 A million times YES. I would kill any one of you fúckers if it meant getting Nige back.
enmac Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 I can only think of 2 PL managers, who'd be an "upgrade"- Wenger and Mourinho. A couple of others maybe on a par. So, obviously, yes. Sent from my BNTV600 using Tapatalk
Lionheart Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Yes,4 weeks to first game and no manager!Praying this doesn't backfire on them!

LanguedocFox Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Take him back in a heartbeat. Sacking him is, was, and will be proved to be the most stupid decision any owner of LCFC has ever made: even more stupid that that pr!ck Mandaric inviting Sousa to take over from Pearson first time round. I find it astonishing that they have made a decision without apparently thinking about the consequences - ie, who do you get to take over. Whoever gets the gig - and most of the suggestions, part from Klopp, have been dire - will have hell's own job to get the team into the right frame of mind within the next four weeks or so. Unutterably stupid decision, and guaranteed to get us relegated next April - or earlier. They won't do it, but the Thais should eat a bit of humble pie and take him back now: people would laugh at us, but who of us would give a fvck about that? Whatever.
biggs Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Without a replacement ready to go, sacking Pearson was a stupid move. I'd have him back today and could see the players faces now as he stepped onto the training field. He'd be accepted with open arms.
cc_star Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Pearson the third best manager in England! I've heard it all now Well, he's at least 14th best... and when you take into account the 13 teams above us have been there for a few years at least and have many tens of millions more invested in their squad over that period of time I'd say he was somewhere between 3rd & 14th best, considering his ability to continually improve and the extra quality of signings open to us in a 2nd top flight season... I'd say he was as sure a bet as there could be that he would go on to be a hell of a lot nearer 3rd than not!
lestajigs Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Don't know who is more of a retard MONreborn for even doing a poll on this, or me voting on it!!
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 NO! NO! NO! It is time to move on. His behaviour last season was bizarre to say the least, and did the image of our club no favours. It is the club which is important, and not an employee, who behaves badly. So again, NO! I wish him luck at a new club, however.
sylofox Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 I have voted No. Not because I am anti as I was backing Nige and us to stop up when 90% on here said it was not possible. So why the change of heart. I do not see Nige wanting to come back or the owners wanting him (saying sorry would not make either side trust the other) It would make an impossible working relationship for both parties. But the major part being how many games before most are calling for his head? After winning Div 1 a bad run in the championship people were calling for his head and we still made the play off's After a cracking start last season (people saying he would be a target for the England job) a few losses later people started calling for his head. He was clueless and did not know what to do so 90% wanted him gone or said with ten games left we are already down. So how many games will you all give him next season if he came back. Say we start off with straight losses 6,8 or 10? Most on here have wanted him gone at least once if not twice. Will you all feel the same after 6 lost games will you back him after 8 I doubt it. So after 10 will we have another Pearson must go thread.

Football is a results business, not an image business whatever the King Power flag flyers think, there is no image without success As for bizarre: Should have said FOAD? Who cares... There's only so long you take abuse before retaliating, did he choose the wrong words? Yes, that's why he apologised to others who may have heard him McArthur? Yep, that was bizarre... it seems like McArthur couldn't take a joke & got arsey, it was very weird. Was he right not to talk to Stringer? F yes, fvck suffering fools gladly, especially ones out to undermine you. Was Ostrich-gate bizarre? Hell yes, but it deflected everything away from the squad in the build up to the visit of the Champions & media circus coming to town. He then apologised to the individual, apology was accepted Move on, he was a prickly character on the outside, but honest & insightful to anyone who took their time with him and gave great incisive interviews To hell with NP anyway... Lets get a media trained, yes man in, with an unlimited number of 'stock answers' ready. That's what matters most
seanswhisper Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 I would definitely take Nigel back in a heartbeat.
