  1. 1. Do you give Ranieri your backing?

  2. 2. Do you wish Nigel success?

    • Yes
    • I [don't] really want him to fail (unless he takes over Forest) but I can't fathom why anybody would want to see another team do well just because their manager used to manage Leicester
    • No
  3. 3. Are you happy with Ranieri's appointment?

There's a lot of petty bickering going on in the manager forums about who backs who, so let's boil things down to the root question:  Do you back Ranieri?  Yes or no?

And for the sake of interest: Do you hope to see Nigel succeed elsewhere?

Edit: Woops, meant to put this in the Leicester forum.  Mods? :D

Edit edit: Thanks mods.  I've added a 3rd question to the poll: Are you pleased with Ranieri's appointment?

You may need to delete your vote and re-vote if you voted before I added the 3rd question.

I voted 'no' in the do you wish him success not because I really want him to fail (unless he takes over Forest) but I can't fathom why anybody would want to see another team do well just because their manager used to manage Leicester.

Why would anybody vote no to either of these

I don't know, but a few people have mentioned that they think other people love Nigel so much that they don't want to see Ranieri succeed. Thought we should get an official consensus on it.

cheers man, don't work tho

Try now.

Same with ex-players joining other teams, always want to see them do well in life if they've served the club well - obviously if it's Kermorgant I cry or Heskey still banging in the odd goal.

You want to see your servants do well regardless.

Yes to both...

Obviously want Claudio to succeed here as failure for him = failure for the club!

Hold no ill will towards Pearson... He gave us some good times and it isn't as though he walked away to suit his own career.. The degree of my future 'good wishes' towards him though DOES depend on where he turns up next...If it's NFFC or the Vile, (or Hull again), hope he fails :)

Can you imagine Nigel turning up at NFFC after they've just bought Mills and probably loan Hamer - christ.

Yes and Yes. But if I was owner of Leicester City Football Club and had the power to sack Ranieri and replace him with Nigel Pearson then I'd probably do it straight away, so I'm not that committed to the first one yet.

Can't really understand why anyone wouldn't back Ranieri.

"Do you want your club to succeed?"

Hmmm. Tough one.

Well yeah that's how I saw it.

I think it's possible to want LCFC to succeed but to say that the manager doesn't have your backing... It happens all the time from what I can tell.

Of course i give our new manager my backing, as i expect all City fans should.

At this moment, i am happy with his appointment, and think he will do well for us, but make no mistake, if things start going pear shaped, and i feel he is part of the problem i will be critical of him, as i have been with all City mangers over the years.

As for Pearson, I thank him for what he has done while at my football club, but he has no relevance to me anymore, so i couldn`t really give a toss how he gets on, unless of course he ends up at Forest or Derby, in which case i hope he gets them relegated to non league football!

Why should we not back Ranieri - until / unless at some point he proves unworthy of it.

I am old enough to remember how several fans felt towards MON in his early days with the club.

Every supporter will back him as he is LCFC manager. The poll should really be are we happy with the appointment which, from my personal view would be a big fat NO

Yeh I'll back him. I'm not excited about him but obviously I hope he is a success.

Pearson - yeh, I'm grateful for what he did here and despite what some people say about him, I like him as a bloke. I hope he does reasonably well somewhere else, I beg he doesn't take over a club I don't like though. And, I don't want the club he takes over doing better than us, obviously.

That's what I mean.  I'll add that particular wording as a 3rd question though.

Yes and Yes

Of course we want CR to succeed as our new manager. He will get my backing as long as he can deliver results and I will give him time like any other manager.

I wish NP all the best and I want him to succeed, just like when MON left and I was proud of all his subsequent successes. However if we ever play his next team, of course I want him to be on the losing side. Anyone that wants him to fail is either just bitter or is trying to soften the blow that we haven't made the wrong decision in sacking him.

One things for sure . Pearson won't be a PL manager for a long time.. If ever again!...

I think you'll be surprised. Likely to get a championship job but I'm sure he'll build a team and eventually get to the PL and establish them also. I would have said a potential England manager but last seasons press antics probably cocked that up
