Right I think i'm gonna have to download this now, waited long enough! It's £34.99 on Steam, can I get it for cheaper elsewhere?

Just found this : http://www.cjs-cdkeys.com/products/Football-Manager-2016-CD-Key-For-Steam.html

Anyone used this site, is it okay?

Big saving :)

Yeah they're brilliant. Tend to get most of my PC games from them. Key was out of stock first time i went to download but they seem to be refreshing every 3 or 4 hours.

Currently managing Curzon Ashton in the conference north after they lost their first 9 league games. The target this year is to have a team that I can still manage next season.

Chelsea bid £19 mill for Vardy 2 days in. I reject. Vards tell me i'm gonna have a mutiny on my hands. Gone all David Brent on me.

Is everyone playing Vardy as a defensive forward?

Is it vital to listen to the role recommendations? Not that I usually go against it, but not sure if defensive forward or poacher is better?

Anyone had any problems with the game crashing? Only made it the 5th July and the bastard has frozen. All my scouting etc lost cos not been saved since the beginning, f******s. I'm tired and hungover as it is, c****s, bollocks bastards im going bed.

God this game is annoying.

Red cards (3), injuries (half a dozen) and own goals (2) all over the place and i'm only 2 competitive games in.

Assistant manager advising how to set up all week and then contradicting himself 20 mins into games. Cheers.

Villa (h) 2-2

Liverpool (a) 2-1

1 point from 6, long season ahead.

CM seems really weak too which is ridiculous in reality.

Out of the League Cup. 2-0 away to Chesterfield. Good times. Luckily I fluked a win against Palace last game.

This is solid.

Vardy out for a month now too.

Does anyones laptop get really hot and the fans go mental when watching a game in 3D?

Interesting.

Since installing this game, my laptop doesn't get really hot but the fan seems to be over-working itself and making much louder whirring sounds...

Sorry if this is controversial but.... why all the sneaking around looking for cheap downloads? This game has more gameplay in it than anything I know out there... we all get hooked on it, it's fantastically realistic at times & so well made.

Why are people honestly looking to save a couple of quid... madness. The guys at SI could quite rightly ask for the same FIFA ask for for this game but they don't.

**** me. Finally got this sorted and after a decent pre-season I got ready to take on Aston Villa at home in the opening match. I like to start authentically so played the same team for this match that we have been doing in real life. Despite both teams creating 16 chances the full time score was Leicester 0-7 Aston Villa. Never had a score/match like it in all my years playing FM.

This will arrive on Monday.

I think i'll have to be Crewe Alexandra.

not a bad team. Good Training & Youth Facilities.

Or if not

Maybe try Salford.

Ive got 2 saves at the moment, Man City, but im enjoying my Real Madrid save more.

OK, some of the more hardcore FM nuts might say that Real Madrid should win everything, and the fun is in buliding a team thriftily and moving up the leagues. But winning is also fun and ive found the tactics pretty tough this year to be honest. Much more so than in FM15 in my opinion.

Having said that, having great success with Real.

Ive been going with two basic formations with variations depending on opponent:

At home, and games expected to dominate away                                                                Giant Champions League Away & Tough Opponents

Navas (GK Defend)                                                                                                                     Navas (GK, Defend)

Danilo (Full Back Attack)                                                                                                             Danilo (Full Back Attack)

Sergio Ramos (Ball Playing Defender, Defend)                                                                           Sergio Ramos (Ball Playing Defender, Defend)

Varane (Defender, Cover)                                                                                                           Varane (Defender, Cover)

Marcelo (Complete Wing Back, Cover)                                                                                        Marcelo (Complete Wing Back, Cover)

Kroos (Deep Lying Playmaker, Defend)                                                                Casemiro/James (Depending on going for 4-1-4-1 or 4-4-1-1, Defensive Mid or Wide Playmaker)

Modric (Advanced Playmaker, Support)

Cristiano Ronaldo (Inside Forward, Attack)                                                                                 Bale (Winger, Attack)

Isco (Attacking Midfielder, Support)                                                                                             Kroos (Deep Lying Playmaker, Defend)

Bale (Winger, Support)                                                                                                                Modric (Advanced Playmaker, Support)

Benzema (Complete Forward, Attack)                                                                                         Cristiano Ronaldo (False 9, Support)

                                                                                                                                                    Benzema  (Compete Forward, Attack)

Usually set the tempo low when looking to control the game, always having players stay in position and not roaming, start every game with a standard outlook and fluid formation and then control if on top, if struggling, play narrow and "get stuck in".

The tactics might sound bizarre, but its working a treat. Massive 8 point lead mid way into December in La Liga, free scoring with Ronaldo, Danilo and Isco all averaging over 7.8 a game.

Cheryshev is also a great player to bring into the squad when needed. Odegaard at 20 will be unstoppable.

I'd try Ronaldo as a raumdeuter over inside forward personally. That's how I think he plays in real life. Often quiet in games but pops up with a goal.

Somehow top half after half a dozen games. In only 1 match (1-0 vs. Watford) have I looked comfortable.

Not played any of the top 7/8 yet and am generally getting bossed. Luckily scraping results but never been so unsure about what i'm doing wrong on an FM before.

Bloody infuriating. Everytime I score I concede instantly. Went 1-0 up at Old Trafford. 10 mins later i'm 3-1 down. Equalise against Arsenal, 1 min later it's 1-2. I'm already playing defensive so not sure if I should be changing system the second i score?

So I started off unemployed and took the Southampton job at the start if December when they were rooted to the foot of the table. 7 games in and we have won 3, drew 3 and lost 1 although one of the victories was in the Europa League (against Asteros Tripoli? Is that a real team?) which resulted in us stealing 2nd spot from Fiorentina. The only loss was a unlucky 3-2 away at Man City. Its January 1st and we have signed Calleri from Boca, a young right back from Racing Santander, a young Polish goalkeeper called Dragowski and somehow I got Subotic from Dortmund for 2.5 million. Best bargain on FM16 for me so far, who is your best bargain signing so far?
