For everyone selling Vardy - does he actually perform well at top teams or does he end up sitting on the bench and rotting away?

Hardly kicked a ball at Chelsea. Got him back on loan in the second season. Then he ended up at Bournemouth in the third season...

Even my souped-up-very-much-overrated-vardy pisses me off on this, scores more offside goals than real goals

I kept Vardy and he's got 18 in 29 for me. Only source of goals.

 

Finally found a system that works. Won 2 on the bounce in the league for the first time. 5-3 at Stoke and 3-2 vs. Soton. 3 of those 5 conceded  goals came the minute after I scored.

First season at Leicester! Came 3rd, after my previous save got me sacked in November.

Used Finner's tactic, Vardy got 34, Okazaki 25 goals. Signed Bruma and he was class, but leaked goals. Narsingh was immense, 19 assists.

what qualifications did you start yourself off with? and experience level?

Continental pro and international footballer, its the only way I play as I don't enjoy lower league saves.

i may be going back to this after the bloody nightmare i had last night! went from promotion chasing with QoS to losing 10 out of 12. unbloody real. 

i have never managed to do the "i took x team from nowhere to the champions league final." i really want to! ive done it going from leicester manager and then bouncing around for a while before ending up at man city/aresnal and dominating the league for many years but never done a grass roots.

 

going to do my research today and go home. start a new save and get AFC kegworth made again and give it a go.

Sacked by Curzon Ashton and took over at Gainsborough, finished 6th in my first season with Gainsborough and told the squad we'll be pushing for the play offs next season. Only 2 players agreed with me though haha. Cheers lads.

Playing an "assymetrical 433", which is a fancy way of saying 442 with Mahrez pushed up into an inside forward role.

Signed Elyanoussi, Amartey and Mandi, and sold Ulloa and Hammond. No bids for Vardy (or any players, come to that) as yet.

First game, lost 4-1 at Spurs (1-1 after 80 mins). Onwards and upwards, maybe.

I've reverted to my 433 post patch and tweaked it a bit. I'll post it later if I can be bothered.

Back four and DMC the same, very similar team instructions but has two CMs (rpm support and DLP support) and three forwards (two AF attack and one DLF support.)

Goals galore. The AFs function like better inside forwards than actual inside forwards do. Finding my AML and AMR get really too wide and isolated in single striker systems. Was way too much space between my attackers.

Is it a bad case of "FM-itis" when I look at the real life live score for the Germany U21's and think "Hold on, those are real players!!" ?

Holding an 11 point lead at the top of La Liga with 9 games to go, Atletico my closest challengers in the league.

 

Next game is Champions League round of 16 2nd leg vs Man Utd at Old Trafford, holding a slender 2-1 advantage from the game at the Bernabeu.

 

Qualified for Copa Del Rey Final vs Malaga.

 

Im absolutely desperate for the treble.

 

Ive already agreed a deal for John Stones for season 2 as well, he looks like he will be an absolutely top player on the game.

 

The other deal I want to push through is cash and Pepe for De Gea.

On the subject of tactics... anyone else noticed that every mid/lower prem opposition seems to play 4 at the back... then 4 across the defensive midfield area and 2 up front? Thought it was a glitch at first!

restared my create a club with Kegworth again. Made myself continental Pro and former international footballer. undertook a radical overhaul. met the assistant manger, nice guy. seemed to be good...fired him. had no coaches or scouts so all my own picks. put an attack formation up for home and defensive counter attack away. 17 games in  and im sitting 5th in national league north. im not getting panned by anyone and i have the best physio's and scouts in the league and all my coaches are above the average. looking for a promotion push to the conference tonight. so much easier when players respect you!

I'd love to see his heat maps.

 

I'd have thought the front four and the "midfield four" (WBs, DMs) would all be sat on top of each other in two clusters, miles apart.

Pretty much just like real life, I assume Man U play a similar one if it's realistic.

 

Had a great pre season with Gainsborough, improved the squad where it needed it and hoping for a top 5 finish this time. Also bringing through 2 or 3 players from the youth team, which is easily the most satisfying thing about this game for me. Rarely sign a player over the age of 19 when I have my club in order.
