Guest seanfox778 Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Good luck Esteban. I hope Olympiacos win the Champions League now.
Bayfox Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 He signed a 1 year deal. He served that. Was a pleasure to see him play. He moved on and it wasn't to wet spam or vile. All the best esteban. If Greece is shit feel free to come back.
Dan Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Very happy he's gone there. Testing himself in the Champions League again, potentially playing against English sides but not for any of them. No bitterness from me. It was a memorable year.
fridoux Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 surprised, though he will retire. good luck to him, lets just turn to the future
bovril Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 I'm a Leicester fan and he's a hero to me. Same here, even if we hadn't stayed up. He gave his absolute all for our club.
STUHILL Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Does he know he can only withdraw £30 quid a day from cash machines there though?? He will be back in Leicester by January Good luck to him. Fantastic player and professional.

Fantastic player and professional. Not sure if he'd trust the Greek banks. Probably has millions of pounds of cash behind a painting of Jeff Schlupp.

Guest Col city fan Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 For all those who claimed Cambi could walk into any top four Prem side... I assume (and it's only an assumption) that Ranieri probably told him he wouldn't be a shoe-in for starting every week. So he's essentially left us, and retiring. If Pearson had not been sacked, I think Cambiasso would have probably stayed (he was pretty much ever present in Nigel's teams). Good luck to him. He gave us his all after we gave him his crack at the Premiership. He'll go down in the archives as the player utterly adored by City fans. IMO somewhat bizarrely, but that's history.
katieakita Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 A top man and a role model to other players, IMHO he was one of a number of reasons we stayed up, it wasn't just the Esteban show last year but he helped galvanize the squad. He could as many feared just have come along for a pay cheque but didn't and he was the model professional both on and apparently off the pitch. In the cold light of day not sure how much the season took out of him and what he had left to prove if he stayed with us for this season. He would have struggled to emulate the success of last year and maybe a step down to the Greek league and a slower pace will suit him better. In 2 years time maybe he comes back in a coaching role which would be a positive but he gave us the chance to watch a world class performer pull on a city shirt, knew he was a top player but didn't realise just how good he was and the only mystery is why didn't a Man Utd or Chelsea buy him in his late 20's.
TheLittleBigMan Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 I'm just glad Dean Hammond gets to show his tricks. And he's got hair - that matters enormously. Edit: I meant flair.
BoneDog Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Sad he's gone but still delighted we had him. What a guy and what a player.
enmac Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Now we know why he left. Not money nor disloyalty. Just age! If only, he'd been playing in 1972 with Weller and Wortho! Good luck old friend.
tom27111 Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 So pleased he's not gone to another Premier League club. Means I can still get a tattoo of him! Who can blame him? Champs League, a good wage and great weather.
Dr The Singh Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 He is out for a swan song. Champions league, piss easy domestic league. He is out to have fun, rather then battle it out with a relegation tipped team, where he is having to swaet his bollocks off. Can't blame him

Ric Flair Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 I'm assuming you are referring to his hero status among Inter Milan fans? He isn't a Leicester hero. And nor was he before he decided not to sign s new contract with us. He is a player who had one season with Leicester during which, in patches, he played very well. There's not been a player make more of a universal impression on the fans in a season as Cambiasso in the modern era.
SystonFox Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 OOOOOOOHHHHHH HIS NAME IS CAMBIASSSSSOOOOOOOOO HE WORE THE NUMBER NINETEEN YESSSSSSSSSS WE KNOW HES GONE OLYMPIACOS BUT THERE NOT PREM AND AGAINST US HE WONT BE SEEN as an aside. Why are they OLYMPIACOS now with a C and not a K like days of old?

And nor was he before he decided not to sign s new contract with us. He is a player who had one season with Leicester during which, in patches, he played very well. Speak for yourself mate. The bloke was an absolute professional for us, believed when not many others did, played a major part in keeping us up and is easily the best player I've witnessed playing for us. He probably wouldn't have been able to emulate last seasons standards here and wanted to leave on a high. I'd have been gutted if he'd have gone to West Ham or Villa who are, at best, a sidewards step. I wouldn't have minded him being at Chelsea as it would've made sense for him so a move abroad is the best we could've hoped for. Good luck Esteban
Foreverfox Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 There's not been a player make more of a universal impression on the fans in a season as Cambiasso in the modern era. Junior Lewis
SystonFox Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Junior LewisJosh LowEdit : same initials. Illuminati confirmed
Foreverfox Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Josh Low Edit : same initials. Illuminati confirmed A few more J.L were rubbish I can remember it's quite spooky to add to Junior Lewis and Josh LowJacob Laursen Jamie Lawrence Jesse Lingard
Loggy88 Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 At least Esteban didn't go to Villa, I would of been pig sick to see him playing for that smug Sherwood.
