Yuto Nagatomo

Recommended Posts

No groans or steering wheels but the good news is that there does need to be reinforcement for its pink.

As reported by Sportmediaset, the future of Yuto Nagatomo might be in England. The class fullback Japanese '85 currently in force at Inter, in fact, like to coach Claudio Ranieri, who has already coached in Milan in the 2011-2012 season, when he collected 43 caps and 2 goals in league and cup.

The former coach of Fiorentina, Juventus and Roma would like to take him to Leicester City. For their part, Inter Roberto Mancini is looking for a left-back and are very close to the Brazilian Guilherme Siqueira, who grew up in the nursery of Milanese society. First, though, Inter must give the players made redundant, including Nagatomo, for which the interest of Rainier is alive and Foxes are ready to satisfy the technical Testaccio with an offer that will convince both the Nerazzurri player and give him an important reinforcement for its pink.

Where's Jennifer Groans in all of this?

left but he does right back as well apparently, not very good at either according to some inter fan

He's clearly both a back-up RB/LB, and might get some cup games. Simpson will be loaned out or go perm to some CCC team methinks. If he's an upgrade to Simpson, then he should do fine. Also he'll boost the Asian attention factor that the club are keen to nurture. At the price he's been rumoured to be bought at, he'll return that no bother.

oh aye, he'd be a good squad player, I'd rather steve walsh come back on the pitch than simpson play though

Like Okazaki, Japanese players are known for their high work-rate and loyalty - but personally unsure what else he'll add what we haven't got.

If he comes in, either Was or De Laet will possibly go out on loan.

Can't see the point in a back up full back.

We've got two left backs already and if we're getting a right back he needs to be an improvement on De Laet who isn't defensively good enough.

As for buying a player 'to boost the Asian attention factor' well, frankly, what a terrible reason to sign someone that is.

Maybe this guy isn't as shit as he sounds but if he's not an improvement on De Laet he's a waste of time.

i don't know if he's good or bad but it does seem more of a business decision rather than a football one. A squad player who also increases the Asian profile of the Club. That market is huge and if we can tap into it then the it can only be good for the Football Club and the business.

Having seen a lot of the Japanese team while playing in the Asian championships he is good player.  Won't hurt the team at all having him here and probably as Shinji has shown could suit the PL better than Serie A.

Don't be silly, the club is not buying Japanese players to appeal to a Thai market.  Makes as much sense as the club buying German players to appeal to the French market!!  If he is to be bought it will be because the Manager and DOF want him to play.  I would suggest he will be ahead of De Laet eventually.

That just happens to be a bonus. I think he fits the bill on paper. Both he and the manager know each other already, so it's not just because of the Asian factor, it just lends to that fact.

I personally feel schlupp is wasted as an out and out lb maybe ranieri feels the same, fuchs and nagatomo scrapping it out for lb and schlupp left wing, the fact nagatomo can play various positions which ranieri has said he wants and he's played for him at inter I'd say it's a no brainer he must rate him
