Buzzell Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Bet the top half of posters on this thread feel dicks now... No not really pal.
jimmeh Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Surely it's impossible to sign anyone now? There's about 4 hours left for a player to have a medical and agree terms etc. I doubt anyone will join, I can see this being a loan deal perhaps.
Kitchandro Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Maybe he's just being added to give us general strength in depth. He's not amazing but in terms of a mid table premier league he's as solid as you can get. Could see him playing out wide as other posters have said because of his work rate. It's hardly a bad sub to bring on if albrighton or Mahrez are running out of puff. I disagree. I don't see him as a game changer and he doesn't fit our style. It would be horrendous if he was picked ahead of Kramaric or Ulloa.

I'm sure they can get around it by saying signed dependant on medical or similar.

What's everyone's obsession with kramaric. If he was called Ben Smith and was signed from Coventry but had the exact same ability you wouldn't rate him.

Agreed, this only makes sense if Ulloa is on his way, cannot see we have space in the squad for both and Ulloa is the better bet for me.

Rudkin- "Hi its Leicester City, come and play for us" Superstar- "wow, yes please" Rudkin- "Do you have legs, arms and eyes?" Superstar- "F**K yeah i do" Rudkin- "Cool, sign here....." Easy.
BenKimbo Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 3 mil isn't loads if that is the asking price and he could be useful for developing players as he is a decent finisher and good work rate so does fit in. Not necessarily a massive improvement but we do need more 'average' players. If you look through teams like Crystal Palace and Swansea squads they have players people call average and reliable and they perform well most weeks. To get to being an established Premier League teamy you need reliable players.
Babylon Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 I disagree. I don't see him as a game changer and he doesn't fit our style. It would be horrendous if he was picked ahead of Kramaric or Ulloa. Eh..... I'd say he fits our style a heck of a lot more than Kramaric.
Dan Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 What an unbelievably pointless signing this would be.
AyewJoking Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Panic signing??? looks like it wont be the last time we hear.... "Huth, long ball to Walters who shoots.........throw in."
lgfualol Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 So he's left Stoke for what reason? No play time? Weird move.
Wymsey Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 What an unbelievably pointless signing this would be. Can imagine being on quite high wages.
filbertstreet Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 I would be embarrassed to be a fan stoke aren't that bad
ImBlue Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 So he's left Stoke for what reason? No play time? Weird move. No, wants 2 year deal, stoke think he's only worth 1 year. Have we gone back on the 1 year for over 30's policy now?
st albans fox Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Austin won't come and sit on the bench Walters will Is he better in the role we want Leo for? Answer - yes If Leo can be sent out on loan then it's a swap I'm happy with. If not then it's a non starter
Woollett's Wellies Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Kramaric is a technically proficient player who is struggling to come to terms with The style of PL football. Walters is a technically average footballer who is completely up to speed with PL football. Which would you rather have in your team this season?
Dan Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 I get what he's about, he isn't rubbish, I just don't see it as a position we need to strengthen unless Kramaric or Ulloa leave.
VLC86 Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 CR said he only wanted 4 strikers... Translating error, he said 14.
