Norwich (A) Post Match Thread 1 - 2

I thought we were just as likely to score in the second half as them and we probably had the better chances in the last 30 minutes of the game.

Vardy could have scored a hatrick in the last 15 minutes or so!

Come on you lot, no credit yet to support today. I went and thought it was great. Funny moment second half- chanting Claudio give us a wave, but he didn't respond until Shaky came out the dug out and told him and he waved. Top man

First time we've ever chanted Craig Shakespeare's name using the old NP chant. Glad he knows we appreciate his work

The Norwich fans do have a high opinion of their club, it's all well and good having faith in your team but you have to realistic and not bitter when the results don't go the way you think they should.  I don't care about possession as long as we are trying something when we have the ball and that is usually head towards the goal and in the right place to break up play when we don't.

For all the time Norwich had on the ball they would try to build play slowly to then attack down the wings but that gave us time to organise.  We get the ball and head for the wings to catch the other team off guard.

Ulloa's defensive work was great when he came on, make shift defender should we need one?

Doubt he could do a job there, great in the air though and certainly useful when defending free kicks and corners. Good player to have on when we are leading with 20 to go

Just back from the fine City, comfortable win for you lot and deserved. Did in anyone get to see the cathedral or castle ? Hope everyone had a safe journey home and enjoyed the plethora of ale houses post/Pre match.

Thought we were well worth the win but in true Leicester style made it as difficult as possible. Thought Norwich were dreadful first half and not great second but made to look better by how deep we were. Thought Ranieri got his subs right again and thought that Vardy was unplayable. Quite a good defensive display overall and a very nice way to bounce back from the defeat to Arsenal. We're a proper side at this level now and we will not be relegated, absolutely sure of it. Got my eyes set a bit higher than that personally. Very tricky game in a couple of weeks too at a ground that we struggle at traditionally but the same could be said of West Ham & Norwich and we've won at both of those.

Good times at the minute.

Claudio doesn't know that we struggle at these places!

He says he played Fuchs and Simpson because he expected Norwich to attack up both flanks rather than through the middle.

Not sure what he plans to do at St Mary's ..................

was that you? lol heard it in the pub, then heard some lads singing it down the street on the way to the ground then heard it again in the concourse . Never seen who started it though. Made me smile every time!

I could see the cathedral and castle from my seat .

I see all those Norwich fans are moaning bout Jamie vardy and diving and his injury but not one mentions the shirt being nearly pulled off schlupps back at a corner b4 the goal

You're having a laugh, right? lol

It ought to have been comfortable really but we made it hard for ourselves. I expected Norwich to be a lot better than they were.

It happened to Schlupp twice. The one in the first half was outrageous and must've been seen by Clattenburg. If a penalty and yellow card had been correctly awarded then perhaps we wouldn't have seen the second one just before Leo's 'goal'.

It was a big gamble by Ranieri to leave out our – and possible the Premier League’s – player of the season so far in Riyad Mahrez, but it was one that paid off in style as the Foxes delivered a fine away performance on Saturday to return home from Norwich with all three points.

Better late than never, my thoughts on the fantastic Norwich win and the inspired changes that Ranieri made (time for his own emoticon I think)   :scarf:

Great blog.

Seen some other blogs advertised on here, that haven't looked professional and error-free than yours.

You can't really judge Norwich on one poor performance but the result was fair enough. Here's to revenge on Feb 28th and 3,000 away fans going home happy.

I don't see anybody judging you after our game.

I'd say the reaction of both LCFC fans and the media is that you're a good club with a good nucleus of hard working players who may lack that little bit of quality and know-how but will be okay come May (but mainly down to the ineptitude of the Mackems, Mags and Villa).
