LanguedocFox Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Thought we were great today, right to the end. Can I give a big shout for our sports-science/fitness boys: our guys must be the fittest in the Prem. Love it.
Unabomber Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 The children would be beautiful. You can be godfather pal
Corky Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Fully deserved win, much more organised than we have been (although we went a little too deep towards the end). Full-backs were much improved, centre mids dominated their area and we were always a threat on the break. Giving Mahrez a rest and still winning is a bonus, players like Schlupp stepped up today. Brilliant start to the season, long may it continue. Top work.
Vacamion Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 When Vardeh went down injured and it looked like he'd done his knee, I contemplated the rest of the season without him and I felt a bit sick and probably went pale. He's THAT crucial to our success. Hope he's OK. Wouldn't imagine they would let him play on if he had done some serious damage.
TrentFox Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 What's your record scoring streak - Vardy must be close! Handy win from our point of view - need you top teams to beat those who might be in the relegation battle.. If that post was designed to massage our egos ....... it worked
LanguedocFox Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 When Vardeh went down injured and it looked like he'd done his knee, I contemplated the rest of the season without him and I felt a bit sick and probably went pale. He's THAT crucial to our success. Hope he's OK. Wouldn't imagine they would let him play on if he had done some serious damage. About five minutes after he got back on the field, he was like a bloody gazelle going after a through-ball, and nearly scored. Think he might be sore tomorrow though, and I hope our physios get working on him, ready for his third England cap (and first England hat-trick) next weekend.
foxfanazer Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 We were class for the majority of the game today but no way should we be hanging on in the end like we were. The first half was probably the best of our season so far in terms of creating chances and the dedence looked far more solid with Fuchs. Schlupp looked far happier with the fredom to get forward and took his goal well. Great 3 points before the International break. 4th after 8 games is wonderful
foxes_rule1978 Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 What's your record scoring streak - Vardy must be close! You can certainly post again hopefully our form continues but no signs of things slowing down
fuchsntf Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 City have found something special. They have a player in Vardy who in 2 seasons, has become already a city legend. 2 wizzards, who are not guarranteed a place in the team but are proven match winners in Mahrez and Schlupp. DannyD improving everyweek.Kante the magic buy, with class.Albrighton..mr reliable. Now, somebody that will allow Claudio to be flexable, Fuchs , if he plays Schlupp has more freedom, plus he is a good defender. 7 games in, nice to see more players knocking on the door, which Claudio has no fear in picking, and testing his group, and tickling, not tinkering with the teams character and set up. Morgan worries me, but again he and Huth, were solid, even when they were up and against it. Palace, W.Ham, maybe Swansea, look like our contenders for suprise team of the season. like to see Ulloa or Krameric, get a nod, to start a PL game. So long as the wave is still rolling, my dream of top 6 or a suprise top 4 I will keep dreaming. Biggest test, will be when both Mahrez and Vardy are not on the team sheet. I cant remember when, city had, such tricky players like Dyer, Mahrez, Albrighton, Schlupp, Vardy in the same squad.... The nearest would be, Farrington, Glover, Weller, Fern..
kingcarr21 Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 I see that Norwich fan hasnt spoke yet. Come on i can see your looking at this thread. Pipe up and give us your verdict
Sampson Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 What's your record scoring streak - Vardy must be close! Handy win from our point of view - need you top teams to beat those who might be in the relegation battle.. It'll be either Rowley or Chandler I'd imagine.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 The children would be beautiful. They would be, 9/10 jawlines and eyes you could lose yourself in
Beliall Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Good result, we played well in parts I thought. I actually thought schmeichel played well for most of the game, but he looked dodgy again towards the end. 3 more points. On we go
lgfualol Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Amazing that we've already got 15 points. It took until January 10th last season for us to get higher than 14 points. JANUARY 10th!
ScouseFox Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 love winning with 34% possession. the fact we had that much possession and could still have scored 6 or 7 shows just why we are the best team in the league.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 I see that Norwich fan hasnt spoke yet. Come on i can see your looking at this thread. Pipe up and give us your verdictI will answer for himThe better team won . . . The end
ARM1968 Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Wouldn't expect masses out of Decembers fixtures tbf. Let's get em while we can.
weller54 Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Last away defeat.. 21st March... Even then we scored 3!
Super_horns Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 If that post was designed to massage our egos ....... it worked Well on current form you won't be near the bottom!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Wouldn't expect masses out of Decembers fixtures tbf. Let's get em while we can. Be nice to manage another 8-10 points before December...
foxfanazer Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Well on current form you won't be near the bottom!Think you'll stay up too. Newcastle and Sunderland currentlylook like certs and then you have Bournemouth who have some key injuries. Think you'll be in a group with Villa, Norwich and West Brom who flirt with the bottom 3 places

Guest ttfn Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Schlupps goal (link from youtube) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_Bokd0rf2w Great finish. Anybody who doesn't get why Ranieri picks Okazaki needs to watch that goal on repeat. Massively important in our ability to turn over possession and launch counter-attacks as high up the pitch as possible.
