Norwich (A) Post Match Thread 1 - 2

Great away win as normal service resumes following our minor slip up last weekend. Got to applaud Claudio though for the pre match team selection, taking a few gambles such as leaving both Mahrez and De Laet on the bench.

Oh yeah once again no pizza delivery in the name of Raneri!

Use "of" instead of "have" again and you won't be.

trust me I have far bigger problems in my life that you wouldn't even imagine going through than worrying how other people judge my spelling.

Come on you lot, no credit yet to support today. I went and thought it was great. Funny moment second half- chanting Claudio give us a wave, but he didn't respond until Shaky came out the dug out and told him and he waved. Top man

I'm sorry, I was having a laugh.  From now on everything I say will be serious all of the time. You have made it clear to me that my life is sunshine and jelly beans just like every other life that isn't yours and that's the only reason I was selfish enough to decide that, in the grand scale of things, it's ok to make funnies about somebody's grammar despite knowing full well that the somebody in question has problems that I can't possibly comprehend [man].

well thanks for the warm welcome....

Will make sure to use spell check going forward just in case it doesn't match your standards.

City have found something special. They have a player in Vardy who in 2 seasons, has become already a city legend.

2 wizzards, who are not guarranteed a place in the team but are proven match winners in Mahrez and Schlupp.

DannyD improving everyweek.Kante the magic buy, with class.Albrighton..mr reliable.

Now, somebody that will allow Claudio to be flexable, Fuchs , if he plays Schlupp has more freedom, plus he is a good defender.

7 games in, nice to see more players knocking on the door, which Claudio has no fear in picking, and testing his group, and tickling, not tinkering with the teams character and set up.

Morgan worries me, but again he and Huth, were solid, even when they were up and against it.

Palace, W.Ham, maybe Swansea, look like our contenders for suprise team of the season.

like to see Ulloa or Krameric, get a nod, to start a PL game.

So long as the wave is still rolling, my dream of top 6 or a suprise top 4 I will keep dreaming.

Biggest test, will be when both Mahrez and Vardy are not on the team sheet.

I cant remember when, city had, such tricky players like Dyer, Mahrez, Albrighton, Schlupp, Vardy in the same squad....

The nearest would be, Farrington, Glover, Weller, Fern..

Post of the year.

To be fair, it was your grammar not your spelling.

Awesome result

Hi all

Hi mate , welcome.

I managed to get a ticket today - brilliant day, especially as I work with some Norwich fans and they are full of how good they think they are.

Hello

?

I only see one other person even acknowledge your first post.  You're welcome.

And as I said at the start of my previous post, I was having a laugh.  I have not got any issue with you at all so chill.

But I really hate it when somebody tries to oppress conversation by claiming that people can't possibly get their problems. What gives you the right to assume what anyone else has or hasn't been through?  If you have an issue that you want to talk about, open a thread and we can discuss it.  I will not be guilt tripped into feeling bad for trying to make a joke though. In spite of that I've apologised to you (though admittedly I spoiled it a bit by going on a rant afterwards) so please just let that be that because we are now severely off track and though I do drive a very cool car it's not exactly suited to off-roading.

Watching the highlights again and I can't believe Kanté doesn't get more mentions in the analysis.  That ball for the 2nd goal is sublime, long may he continue slipping under the radar like the little stealth bomber he is.

I loved that bit too. Then Shakespeare got a mention!

That was my first trip to Carrow Road. Enjoyed it. Great view of Schlupp's goal!

My first trip too ... Tidy little old fashioned ground and a good day out .... But was I the only one to see their keepers pink wellies !! Comedy gold

Having played as a defender, I can tell you that's a penalty all day. As soon as you get caught the wrong side of the attacker, you are liable to tripping or pushing the player.

Posted

Of course it was a penalty. Almost a carbon copy given in the forest game against Mills. Attacker gets across you in the box and you catch him, it's a pen. I'm sure the Noreich fans would haven taken it if awarded to them. Whinging webfooted inbreds.

Deffo a penalty. Ironically on the stream I was shouting penalty even before Vardy went down. He got the wrong side of the defender and people forget with his speed it only takes the slightest of touches to bring someone down.

I used to get caught out like that all the time playing for county. Maybe that's why I was dropped? Haha. Refs didn't like my no nonsense chopped em on the edge of the box approach haha.

Edit: realised that makes it seem like I played for Derby. *pukes* I mean Devon County.

Went yesterday thoroughly enjoyed the day and the atmosphere in the Leicester end was terrific.

Got talking in the pub before the game to some Norwich fans and I cant believe how good they think their team is? I tried to warn

Them about our fast counter attacking football but they were having none of it. One even said he thought Vardy was overated.

I hope they are truly regretting their words this morning. I thought overall Norwich were poor and looked very much like a hoofball team lets lump it into the box and see if it breaks for us and our Championship strikers.

Vardy, kante and Drinkwater, Schlupp were superb. Ranieri tactically spot on yet again, Chelsea will want him back? Three great points

And I loved every minute of it.

Watched the game in the Norwich and Peterborough box as a good mate (Leicester through and through) is high up in their organisation.

Felt very strange to be around the opposition fans, but at least there were half a dozen city supporters with me. We all went crazy when our goals went in, especially Schlupps. Anyway have waited til this morning to post as from where we were apart from Redmonds deflected shot, I thought Norwich created nothing after their goal. One of the least worrying last 25 minutes defending a one goal lead away I can remember. Was definitely more anxious at west ham away.

The home fans also couldn't see their teams scoring unless the ball fell kindly in the box from their many corners, which were generally bread and butter for Huth and Wes. Vardy obviously positioned himself for the foul which led to the penalty, but as their fan next to me said, their defender didn't appear to touch the ball, but clumsily bundled into the player. Naive defending.

On balance, I thought we played well, all players between 7/10 - 8/10. For all his detractors Simpson put in a good effort and apart from the odd mistake city were pretty much comfortable. I thought Norwich underrated us and didn't put in a real effort until Redmond and the predator extra come on.

A massive three points going into the international break. Well done city and CR who seems to be making the right calls at the moment.

Also you could hear the City fans most of the match, thought they easily out sang the home supporters.

Can't help but think back to this weekend last season, when we conceded that 96th minute goal against Burnley. Remember thinking that could be a big point in the season, which I reckon it was (although didn't matter in the end!).

Just shows the improvement this season that in a similar situation we were able to hold on. Hopefully sets us up to improve even more.

Now...saying hysterical, is going really over the top.

Antitheses...you obviously mean..

One small step for Nigel Pearson, one giant leap for Claudio Ranieri...
