FoxinNotts Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 How do the owners have an asian players policy? Sorry, 'policy' probably not the right word. The owners said in the summer that they wanted more top level Asian players to play for us, if possible. In an interview for a match programme I think.

Can't see him starting often in the second half of this season. Probably either just cover material or in for the long run. He was one of Basel's most consistent midfielders last season and a big influence so far, better than that Kuzmanovic chap they re-signed from Inter.

Buying another creative attacking player to play the 10 role would hopefully make teams stop putting 3 men on Mahrez so he has a bit more space. Plus our other strikers aren't great so someone creative behind Vardy would work IMO. Edit: I do like Sigurdsson as a suggestion.

The only issue is that Charlie Austin has already said publicly he's going nowhere until the summer when his contract runs out, so he can get a big pay day and go where he pleases on his terms.

Then Les Ferdinand said if the right offer comes in he could go rather than risking of losing him for nothing.
