kingcarr21 Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Don't need another midfielder. We will do if Inler goes. Not that I think Shelvey is the answer. Don't think he would suit our style of play.
Benguin Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Rate him highly and said we should have a punt over summer. He's a bit of a **** though
Bayfox Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 No, over rated, tries to hit beckham/gerrard 60 yard passes all the time, never been impressed by him, steer well clear please. Sounds a bit of a tit to boot.
FLAN Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Jonjo Shelvey available this window. Would be a good fit for the team however it seems there are other issues behind his lack of first team action. Maybe not worth the risk of upsetting the balance? Sorry for starting new thread. Forgot this one!
My Nads Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 http://www.eurosport.co.uk/football/premier-league/2015-2016/ronaldinho-has-more-than-one-offer-from-england_sto5046783/story.shtml Anyone take Dino!? If he's half as good as he used to be, he would still be the best player in England. He can take a free kick too, which is something are team hasn't learnt yet!
My Nads Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Before we played Swansea I read their forum a bit and everyone was worried Shelvey might be playing. He wasn't injured when we played them but he still didn't make the bench. Swansea fans know a lot more about him than anyone else, so if they don't want him playing that says all you need to know.

Had a few decent games as well for England. He can't have gone that pants in 4 months surely? It must be his attitude that lets him down

It must be his attitude that lets him down All I ever saw of him was the games against us and for England, so really I don't know too much about him, but he can't be all that good if the Swansea fans don't even want him to play. If it is down to a bad attitude, that's the last thing we want here. It's a whole lot worse than just being a bit shit. Unfortunately these days, being England's top midfielder doesn't mean he's that good to be honest.

Football fans are fickle, Swansea fans were dead excited about Shelvey earlier on in the season. Much like Leicester fans wanting to sell Vardy for 5m this time last season.

Bluearmyfox28 Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Andrea Ranocchia is subject of a 7 million bid from Norwich. Wouldn't mind him here full international for Italy has been captain of inter for a few years & adds vital height at 6 foot 5.
ronnup Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Id love us to make a big bid for Grealish. He's never going to want a championship season and very similar to Mahrez in a lot of ways. Possibly available at a good price and would be excellent in the 10 or wide.

I'd say he's a Typical case of media overhyping of a young English player.
foxinsox Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Sigurdson at Swansea would be better than Shelvey. Good deadball specialist, good finisher too.

I'd say he's a Typical case of media overhyping of a young English player. he'll have plenty of time to think about what he's done or not done over the summer, kicking back and watching the Euros from his couch...

No thanks.
ronnup Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 He's a fantastic talent, he's never had a settled situation and he's very young. People writing him off is absolute madness, he's barely started his career.
