I informed the board that Kante is the signing we had to get across the line when he was a sideshow to the jizzfest about Inler signing who I was wary of. I also said Benalouane would prove to be a flop. The only one I got wrong was predicting Kamaric's success. My No1 signing would have been Aranguiz but who could predict an injury before he played a minute so another bullet dodged there. I informed the board??? Did you write to them

MC enlighten us chap Latest gossip and quotes from Basel's DoF indicate that he'll stay with his current club, at least until the summer. The rumoured transfer fee has now reached roughly £20m, with Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Barcelona and Wolfsburg interested. I can't see us wiling to compete here.

We've had to patient for some of the bigger deals in recent windows. Kante and Cambiasso were both protracted chases. I trust the powers that be to get the right players before the window closes.
