Larry_LCFC Posted 21 May 2016 Posted 21 May 2016 ALAN PARDEW believes if Crystal Palace beat Manchester United in today's FA Cup final, it will be on a par with Leicester City's Premier League title win. The Foxes secured an incredible Premier League title less than three weeks ago to shock the footballing world. And with Palace the underdogs for today's final, Pardew has said: "I'm not sure what the odds would have been on this unfathomable season ending with Leicester City as Premier League champions and Crystal Palace as FA Cup winners, but we are one game away from making that incredible double a reality." How many clubs actually play their best team until like the quarter finals? Nobody takes it seriously anymore. Not even on the same planet as our achievement.

RowlattsFox Posted 21 May 2016 Posted 21 May 2016 Rooney did great there. If he's playing in midfield he needs to be further forward.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 21 May 2016 Posted 21 May 2016 Christ Palace, you get yourselves in front and decide that's the time to forget about defending!
Dodgy Bob Posted 21 May 2016 Posted 21 May 2016 Forget the goal, Wayne Rooney just beat three men in a single run, doubling his tally since 2006.
Raw Dykes Posted 21 May 2016 Posted 21 May 2016 Feels cruel but I'm quite enjoying Rooney having absolutely no impact in his new role. Yeah, same here. Mainly because I feel vindicated for slagging him off. He's done for, passed-it, washed-up, over-the-hill. Why is it taking so long for people to realise it? Why are his consistently poor performances not affecting his reputation? He's not going to suddenly become a good player if you stick him in midfield. He's no longer good enough for the best clubs in the PL, and he's not fit to wear the England shirt. It annoys me that he's going to get shoehorned into the national side, even though it will have to be at the expense of a Leicester or Spurs player who has had a brilliant season. If I was England manager, there's no way I wouldn't build the team around Vardy, Kane, Alli, Drinkwater and Dier. Edit: Rooney does something impressive! Well, I never.
GeorgeTheFox Posted 21 May 2016 Posted 21 May 2016 You'd think pardew of all people would know not to over celebrate too early in a final
